1. Make sure your bike is cool and parked on a flat secure surface! 2. Find your battery (you may have to remove your seat or side covers in order to get to your battery) Disconnect the NEGATIVE ( -) cable. Negative battery cable must be disconnected from the battery in order to avoid safety hazards! Be sure as you disconnect the Negative cable that it does not touch or make contact with your Positive terminal 3. Disconnect the fuse holder from the battery – both the positive ( +) and negative ( -) sides. 4. Cut the wire to the light that is not working with the side cutters. 5. At the problem light twist the light case back and forth slowly and then pull firmly, DO NOT yank to remove from the motorcycle. 6. If the motorcycle led light does not come off easily, repeat the twisting motion back and froth until you feel the light loosen – then pull. 7. Pull the motorcycle led light away from the motorcycle slowly until the cut end of wire falls free. 8. If you will NOT be using your motorcycle until the new lights arrive, you may stop at this step. SAFETY POINT: Otherwise, where you cut the wire, you need to dead end or tape the cut wire. This will keep it from shorting out until the new motorcycle led light is installed. 9. Reconnect fuse holder to battery. 10. Reconnect the battery and then install the seat. 11. Return the motorcycle led light or lights to Renegade Lights along with Warranty Return Policy Form. 12. Renegade Lights will return your new motorcycle led lights along with instructions for installing them.

Your new motorcycle LED lights are polarity sensitive–meaning that the RED wires on the LEDs must be hooked to the Positive (+) terminal and the BLACK wires must be hooked to the Ground (-) . All Red Wires must go to a common power wire and ALL Black Wires must go to a common ground. You cannot run the LED motorcycle lights in a series nor can you run the wires from one motorcycle LED light to another in a loop type installation. ( All of the wires on the motorcycle LED lights which you install will end up together in one place at your battery.) 4. Pick a hidden flat surface around the front of your seat area to mount the switch. ( You must be able to reach the switch when the seat and/or side covers are back on your bike.) You will install your switch later using the double-sided tape provided to you. 5. Next, begin choosing the locations where you would like to mount your motorcycle LED lights. Choose areas which will give you the most light coverage overall, but which will allow the motorcycle LED lights itself to be hidden from easy view when you are standing back and looking at the bike. 6. Clean each area where you choose to place a motorcycle LED light with the alcohol based cleaner making sure all dirt and/or oil is removed from that area

1. Place the motorcycle on its centerstand. Do this on a hard surface so the motorcycle will not easily tip. Do not do this on gravel or dirt. 2. Remove the air dam/lower cowl to gain access to the oil filter housing. Using a 12mm 6-point socket, remove the original oil filter bolt and housing. The engine will lose approx. ½ quart of oil when changing the filter. 3. Clean the engine surface behind the oil filter housing where the o-ring will seat. Install the adapter plate with the new o-ring supplied onto the threaded boss protruding from the engine with 0-ring side facing the engine. 4. Screw the hollow stud with the jam nut into the engine where the original filter bolt went. Note that the end with the longer portion of threads goes into the engine. Screw the stud in until it is finger tight. Check to be sure the o-ring on the back of the filter plate is sill in its groove. Tighten the jam nut with a 12″ crescent wrench. Be careful your wrench does not slip and marr the surface of the filter plate. Use approx. 15 to 20 lbs of force at the end of the wrench to tighten the stud. 5. YAMAHA VENTURES ONLY : The frame brace needs to be raised slightly to give you more clearance for a filter wrench when changing your filter in the future. This brace between the right & left frame rails directly over the filter. Loosen the four (2 per side) 8mm bolts (12mm wrench size) that have the long acorn nuts. After loosening the four bolts, you will notice that there is approximately ¼” slack in these bolts. Lift the brace up as far as possible & retighten the bolts. 6. Coat the new filter gasket with oil. Spin the new filter onto the adapter plate until the gasket makes contact, and then tighten ¾ of one turn. This must be done each time you install a new filter. Use a filter wrench if necessary. Be sure your filter is tight! 7. Add ½ quart of oil or change the oil if you desire. Start the engine. Allow it to run for 30 seconds or more. Rev the engine to 4,000 rpm for 20-30 seconds. Shut the engine off & check thoroughly for any oil leaks.

Locate the fuel injectors and their connectors on the intake manifolds between the “V” of the engines cylinders. You may remove the fuel tank to gain easy access to the plugs or you can make the connections with the tank on as follows. Remove the rear fuel tank mounting bolt and loosen the front two bolts. Lift the rear of the tank as high as possible (2-3 inches) and place a piece of wood between the tank and frame to hold the tank up. 2. Mounting the POWERMASTER™ EFI Module. While you can mount the module most anywhere it is recommended to mount it under the right hand side cover for easy access when making adjustments. Find a suitable surface to mount the Velcro Adhesive Square supplied. Clean the surface with rubbing alcohol, peel the backing and press firmly in place. Press the Module onto the Velcro. Route the wires with the plugs for the injectors between the frame rails and up toward the injectors with the other wires located on the backbone of the frame. If yours is a model with wires and plugs for the oxygen sensors route these wires downward with the short lead going to the plug on the rear exhaust pipe (about 6″ from the cylinder head) and the longer following along the right frame tube under the engine and forward to the front oxygen sensor and its plug.3. Connect the wires to the injectors under the fuel tank as follows. Unplug the bike’s wire harness from the injectors. Connect the male and female connectors from the injectors and the wire harness to the RIVCO POWERMASTER™ EFI Module. This places it electrically between ECU and the injectors. Repeat this process for each injector. NOTE it does NOT matter which lead goes to which injector.

Basic Rotor Installation Instructions

1. Take wheel off the bike. 2. Install rotors offset on the wheel. (refer to pictures below) 3. Replace the wheel on the bike keeping the axle, pinch bolts, and caliper bolts loose. 4. Begin to pump the brakes, applying the pads, making contact with the rotors. 5. While maintaining pressure, tighten the axle and all of the bolts. 6. This aligns the wheel, rotor, caliper, and pads to ensure optimum contact between rotor and pad. 7. Check that brake fluid level is not too high after install. 8. Make sure the wheel spins freely. 9. Bed in easily for first 100 miles.

1. Using the nuts supplied, bolt the lighting system to the rack (on some earlier production models the holes may be off slightly and require that you drill the holes in the rack larger for alignment). 2. Using a side cutting pliers, trim away the corner of the metal grating and route the wire loom thru and out the bottom of the rack as shown. Route the loom along the bottom of the rack to where the plug on the motorcycle is or will be and secure it to the rack using the cable ties supplied. 3. Cut the wires and loom to the desired length to connect to the plug on the motorcycle. Connect the wires from the loom to your mating connector (not supplied) using the wire color code shown below. If you do not have a plug on the motorcycle you will need to purchase a mating male and female five pin or wire connector set. You may also use a six pin connector set and leave one pin unused as these are more readily available. RIVCO offers a six wire molded connector set with 60″ of wire #TWC002 or a waterproof six pin connector set with dust cap #TWC00

LED SHOW LIGHTING INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIOINS

1. The kit is supplied with 4 “cluster” lights that project a round flood lighting pattern and 4 “array” lights that have a narrow fan type pattern. Determine where you would like to mount the supplied lights, switch and wiring connections. You may want to hook up one of the lights with some long jumper wires connected to the battery and hold it in various places to see what will show off your bike best. The idea is to see the light reflected off your bike and not see the light fixture. 2. Mount the lights and switch using the supplied primer and 2-sided adhesive pad. Apply the primer to the backside of the lights and switch; let it dry for 5 minutes. Remove the protector from one side of the adhesive pad and apply. Apply the primer on the motorcycle where the lights and switch will be mounted and let it dry for 5 minutes. Remove the protector from the adhesive pad and mount the lights and switch. 3. Refer to the provided wiring diagram. The wiring is color-coded and connects in parallel. All of the black wires connect together through the BLACK wire of the 2 conductor black jacketed wire (Ground Wires). All of the colored wires connect together through the RED wire of the 2 conductor black jacketed wire (Power Wires). Connections may be soldered, crimped with solderless connectors, or twisted together. 4. Measure and cut the supplied 2-conductor black-jacketed wire to the lengths that are needed to connect the lights and switch. When routing the wire from any lights that you have mounted to the front make sure you have provided enough slack at the steering head to be able to turn the front wheel full left and full right without damaging the lights or wires. Also be sure the wire is at least æ” from any exhaust pipe. 5. Join each connection and cover with the supplied heat shrink tubing. NOTE; All wire connections must be insulated. Cut a piece of the provided heat shrink tubing long enough to cover the connection completely. 6. Connect one wire from the switch to the RED wire of the lights with one of the supplied blue butt connectors. Connect the second wire from the switch to one wire from the fuse holder with the other blue butt connector. Connect the second wire from the fuse holder to the positive (+) battery terminal using one of the supplied fork connectors. 7. Connect the BLACK wire of the lights using the other fork connector to a ground connection. (The negative (-) battery terminal or motorcycle frame.) 8. Secure all loose wires by using the supplied cable ties. Check the front wheel again to be sure there is enough wire slack for turning.

KICKSTAND PAD – INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. Slide the pad onto the kickstand being sure it is as far as it will go. 2. Tighten the setscrew on the side of the pad securely. 3. Recheck the pad and set screw occasionally to be sure that it is secure. Note; All kickstands are forged or stamped and then the mold parting line is hand ground. Some kickstands may have an excess amount of material on the bottom of the foot. If your pad does not slide completely onto the kickstand you will need to grind or file the bottom of your kickstand foot flat or flush until the pad does slip on completely.

this module will pulse any horn, headlight or tail light at the rate of 7 times per second. 1. Find a suitable mounting location. Clean the mounting surface thoroughly using rubbing alcohol, peel the adhesive backing and press the module firmly in place. 2. Connect the black wire to the frame or other suitable ground. (NOTE: Failure to achieve a good ground will ruin the module Immediately and void the warranty!) 3. At any point that is convenient cut or disconnect the power wire to the light or horn(s). Connect the green wire to the wire going to the light, horn(s) or wire going to it. 4. Connect the red wire to the power wire coming from the motorcycle. 5. To bypass or turn the modulator off (in some states it is not legal to use a headlight modulator at night or at all, check your state laws) install an on/off switch between the red and green wires. When the switch is in the on position the electricity to the light or horn(s) will bypass the module and the light or horn(s) will not pulse.
