BoonDocker Liquid Nitrous – 1589 Hollipark Dr. Idaho Falls, ID 83401 – (208) 542-4411 web site: www. boon dockers. com – email: info@boon dockers. com Revised 02-27-04 Page 2 of 10 This manifold is also designed to vary the float bowl pressure in relation to nitrous pressure, thus keeping the nitrous and fuel delivery in sync. Fluctuations in bottle temperature greatly affect nitrous pressure, which affects nitrous delivery. By automatically adjusting the fuel delivery as nitrous pressure varies, this manifold makes nitrous safe, reliable, and easy to use. Be sure to understand and follow the tuning instructions at the end of these instructions. Proper tuning is an important part of any performance-enhancing product. Part I – Bottle Installation A. Bottle Valve Fittings Insert the 4AN x 1/8″ NPT fitting and the 1/8″ NPT Plug into the bottle valve (these are attached to the lid of the box for the bottle) . Use Teflon tape to seal the threads – be sure not to get tape inside the threads! B. Bottle Mounting Position With nitrous in the bottle, both nitrous liquid and nitrous gas are present under high pressure (760 psi at 70 deg F) . Due to gravity and acceleration forces, the liquid portion of the nitrous will be at the bottom and rearward parts of the bottle. For this nitrous system to work properly, it is important that nitrous liquid be drawn from the bottle. Nitrous vapor will cause a significant decrease in performance. For best results, the bottle should be mounted so the valve is pointed down and towards the back of the vehicle as shown below. ************** *************** ******** ********* *************** (can be installed on top or bottom of air boot) ********** ********* push-button switch (mounts on handlebar) +12 V *********** ************ **** ****** *! “**#$******%* *! “**#$*#*%* 20 deg to 90 Front of motorcycle Rear of motorcycle BoonDocker Liquid Nitrous – 1589 Hollipark Dr. Idaho Falls, ID 83401 – (208) 542-4411 web site: www. boon dockers. com – email: info@boon dockers. com Revised 02-27-04 Page 3 of 10 Bottle mounted inside airbox: For some applications, a small bottle can be mounted inside the airbox as shown. Note: because of the restricted space, it was necessary to mount this bottle at a non-optimal angle (the valve is pointed towards the front instead of the rear)

TOYOTA ALL MODELS ALTERNATE REFRIGERANTS AND A/ C RETROFIT

The E.P.A. has officially banned the manufacture of Refrigerant 12 (Freon) after January 1, 1996. As a result, surplus supplies of R-12 will begin to dwindle over the next several years until, eventually, R-12 will no longer be available. This uncertainty about the availability of R-12 has caused significant concerns for Toyota dealers when servicing HVAC systems not using R-134a refrigerant. Similarly, the reduced availability of R-12 has prompted demands for R-134a retrofit kits and/or alternate refrigerants. This TSB will clarify Toyota’s current recommendations for servicing and retrofitting HVAC systems on Toyota vehicles using R-12 refrigerant. ALTERNATE REFRIGERANTS: Previously, the E.P.A. has endorsed other alternative refrigerants. These endorsements, combined with the uncertain future availability of R-12, have led to a limited acceptance of using alternative refrigerants when servicing or retrofitting R-12 HVAC systems. Use of these refrigerants can lead to several service related problems, including: Poor system performance and leak detection capabilities. Contamination of R-12 and R-134a during refrigerant recovery and recycling. Recently the E.P.A. released a statement clarifying that approval of alternative refrigerants relates only to the toxicology, flammability, ozone depletion and global warming characteristics. The approval does not imply acceptability of alternative refrigerants use with respect to serviceability or performance

Pliers. It’s useful to have severaltypes of pliers. Basic pliers work in a variety of situations, but you’ll also need to get a pair of needle-nose pliers—the kind that look like they’re made from a hummingbird’s beak. These are useful when working in tight places and with small objects. I also like to have a pair of Channellock or adjustable pliers. I use these for everything from holding odd- size large bolts to removing oil filters when my filter wrench won’t fit. ◆ Oil-filter wrench. These wrenchescome in several varieties. Get one that best fits around your particular oil filter—that is, if your motorcycle has a spin- on filter. ◆ Soft-face mallet. You will sometimesneed it to convince an obstinate part to move. ◆ Lubricants. You’ll need to have some kind of penetrating spray lubricant on hand to loosentight bolts. If you have a chain-driven motorcycle, you’ll also need special cleaners and lubricants for your chain. ◆ Funnels. You’re going to need at least a few different-size funnels on hand. Get one small funnel for filling electrolyte in your battery, a larger one with a longer spout for filling oil, and a fairly large one with a screen in the spout forfilling gasoline. 220 Before you change your oil, make certain that you know where you can dispose of the used oil. It’s illegal and unsafe to dump the oil or spread it on a road. Some areas provide certified oil-recycling stations. Usually, service stations or drive-in oil-change places have large waste-oil storage capabilities. If you ask nicely down at the local Kwiki Lube, they may let you dump your waste oil in with theirs. Just remember not to make a mess and to clean up afterward, or you won’t be welcome back.

The R&D high performance Air Filter Kit will improve acceleration and top speed performance by increasing air flow and reducing air temperatures that enter directly into the Ultra 250X’s air plenum box area. The O.E.M. air plenum box on the Ultra 250X is a great design that will flow plenty of air. However, the air that feeds the plenum box is heated by the engine. R&D has created an easy to install “flat filter” that installs directly in place of the large center access inspection cover located directly under the main glove box. The R&D Flat Air Filter insert will allow unrestricted fresh and cool air to enter the air plenum box area which will add power you can feel and a nice high performance tone. The R&D Performance Filter Kit also features two filters, one for each of the surge and blowoff protections valves. The O.E.M. surge valve recycles compressed hot air back into the air box plenum at idle and under deceleration conditions. The R&D surge and blowoff valve filter kit removes the air recycling hoses which will keep the hot air from entering the air plenum box reducing the engines intake air temperatures. The R&D Ultra 250X Air Filter Kit offers great performance tips on how to remove the restrictive air vent hoses which will further reduce the under seat ambient air temperatures. The R&D Filter system does not remove or alter the O.E.M. plenum box in any way, therefore there are no questions to be answered regarding water ingestion
