I didn’t go to my local Kawasaki shop expecting to trade in the 2004 636 I’d been happily riding. I honestly didn’t expect there to be anything on the floor that would motivate me to bring the bike in. Some of you reading this may be able to relate to what I am saying, the day you don’t look for something is the day that you find exactly what you didn’t know you need. That was the day I decided I needed to take home the new ZX-6R. The reworking of the new ZX-6R is more than just about looking good. According to KMC the engine has been redesigned from the crankcase up for the first time in ten years. Racing technology built into the new bike is a close-ratio cassette transmission that can be removed without the needing to split the main crankcases in case you needed to make repairs or adjustments at the track. They also tell us that the fuel injection system has shorter throttle bodies with a smaller diameter bore which claim to give this new smaller sized engine more torque in the mid-range. It also comes with a GPS – Gear Position Sensor. The new ZX-6R comes stock with a slipper clutch which is one difference between the 2004 and 2007. My 2004′s rear wheel would hop if I geared down before a corner and my engine rpms were too high. The slipper clutch allows quicker downshifts. To experience the gains of a slipper clutch you don’t have to buy a 2007 Kawasaki – it was introduced to the 636 in 2005. A quick glance at the exhaust might leave the impression that the ZX-6R comes stock with stacked twin small diameter exhaust cans but if you look closely you will see it is a single oval pipe with a shotgun styled end cap. The titanium pipe has the pre-chamber and catalyser located below the engine to keep the weight on the bike low and centered and the temperature of the under seat silencer reduced. The titanium pipe has the pre-chamber and catalyser located below the engine to keep the weight on the bike low and centered and the temperature of the under seat silencer reduced. Looking at the new Kawasaki with its fairing removed, I wonder how much more it would have cost the consumer to have an exhaust system that not only works wonders but would be worth showing off? Even if some of the systems of the new 600 look better hidden by plastic the bike does have a cohesive look and every year the fit and finish of Kawasaki’s bikes seem to get better. You can look at this bike from almost any angle and nothing jumps out at you – unless you are on the right side of the bike looking at the rear brake reservoir. It seems odd to me that they would leave the rear brake reservoir exposed. Another design feature of the smooth body of the 2007 ZX-6R is the lack of tie down points for any luggage. It can be argued that this is a bike intended for Sunday morning canyon rides or track days on weekends but if you want to take the 600 out for a weekend away then there is aftermarket solution. Ventura Racks allow you go on vacation with your bike. A Ventura Rack provides you with a frame that you attach to your bike that you can secure luggage to. There is no drilling of body work and the Ventura rack I got fit onto the bike perfectly the first try. One of the things I really like about the Ventura Rack is that you can easily attach bags that you may already have or you have the option of buying the Ventura luggage system. Just give yourself time before a motorcycle trip to pack

Installation: 1. Remove the fork springs according to the OEM Owner’s Manual. 2. Check/adjust fork oil level and weight according to OEM Specifications. Caution: Most inverted forks will not require the use of any shim washers or spacers. In cases where use is necessary with the twin chamber style fork, the shims must be placed at the bottom of the spring. Most conventional forks (non-inverted) will use shim washers or spacers at the top of the fork spring. 3. Install Factory Connection fork springs and refer to OEM Owner’s Manual for proper assembly procedures. 4. Be sure to double check all fasteners. Note: Most modern day forks require special tools for disassembly and assembly of the components. Examples : Showa 47/49mm Twin Chamber, KYB 48mm Twin Chamber, WP 07 SX Models/SXS Components. Installing fork springs is an intricate process that should be performed with extreme care by a qualified suspension technician. Failure to install the springs correctly could cause damage to one or more components of the fork. This damage, although not readily apparent, could lead to unexpected failure or rider injury. Factory Connection manufactures models specific fork springs. Installation of a Factory Connection spring not designed for your motorcycle may result in unexpected failure and rider injury. Please consult your Factory Connection spring dealer or call Factory Connection directly if you are unsure about a spring/or springs. 1. Factory Connection’s Limited Lifetime Warranty Factory Connection warrants, to the original retail purchaser (“consumer”) who retains ownership of the vehicle on which the suspension spring(s) (“products(s)”) was originally installed, all suspension springs for life against factory defects in material and workmanship (other than defects in finish) when used under normal use and operating conditions. 2. Your Remedy Upon verification of warranty coverage, Factory Connection at its option will replace defective or prematurely worn-out product (s), without charge, or refund the purchase price of the products(s). This is the Consumer’s sole and exclusive remedy for any loss or damage, however arising, due to a nonconformity or defect in the product(s). 3. Warranty Claim Procedure To make claim under this warranty, the consumer should contact the Factory Connection dealer or Factory Connection where the product(s) was purchased. Factory Connection reserves the right to test the returned product(s) to evaluate the nonconformity or possible defect. The Consumer is responsible for all costs of returning the defective or prematurely worn-out product(s) to the Factory Connection dealer as well as all costs for removing the product(s) from and installing the products(s) on the vehicle.

Honda 300 2×4 Lift Kit Installation Instructions

This product is designed for us e on ATVs on which additional ground clearance and fender clearance is desired. It is designed for utility type, slower-speed use on relatively flat terrain in deep mud or snow. Although we have many thousands of satisfied lift kit customers and over 400 franchised dealers selling and installing lift kits, purchasers should be aware that use of this product may increase the frequency of required maintenance, part wear, and will raise the center of gravity on your ATV increasing risk of roll-over on side hills, ditches or other steep terrain. We recommend that wider tires and/or wheel spacers be used to achieve a wider stance and to improve stability of the ATV. Riders should be advised that the handling characteristics of a taller ATV are different and require extra care when riding on side hills or off-camber situations. If you further raise the center of gravity by adding heavy loads to racks or seats, the ATV must be operated with care, at slower speeds or on relatively flat ground. Operation of an ATV with or without a lift kit, while or shortly after consuming alcohol or drugs, subjects the rider to the risk of serious bodily harm or possible death. This is compounded if the rider does not wear an approved helmet and other safety gear. High Lifter urges that all approved safety gear be worn when riding an ATV. If this is not what you expected, or is not consistent with your intended use, you should return the product immediately to the seller, before installation, for a refund of the purchase price; less any fees. After installation, product is warranted for 90 days for defects in workmanship and materials. Warranty is limited to refund of the purchase price or replacement of the kit, at the seller’s option.
