ELECTRICAL SYSTEM A 12 volt electrical system is required. Check that the charging system is working properly and not producing over 16 volts. DISTRIBUTOR CLAMP A 1966-69 style distributor clamp (original or aftermarket) is required. MODULE This distributor uses an Accel Single/Dual Fire Ignition module part number 35496. See the enclosed form “Instruction Sheet Single/Dual Fire” for instructions on wiring, adjusting the rev limiter and selecting an advance curve. COIL(S) A coil(s) with a total primary resistance of 2 to 4 ohms is recommended. INSTALLATION Step 1 Turn the ignition switch to the off position. Rotate the engine until it is on the compression stroke for the front cylinder. Continue to rotate the engine until the TDC mark is visible through the timing hole. (see repair manual if necessary). Step 2 Remove the existing distributor if still in the engine. Step 3 Remove the two button head screws from the top of the Mallory distributor. Pull the top cover off the distributor. Remove the two hex standoffs and pull the module and upper housing off the distributor base assembly. Adjust the switches on the module for the desired advance curve and rev limit. FORM 1627 07/08 Step 4 Install the distributor base assembly in the engine with the screw holes and shutter wheel positioned as shown in Figures 1 and 2. It may be necessary to pull the distributor out, turn the shaft and reinstall to get the shutter wheel at the approximate angle shown. The slots should be at about the11 o’clock and 7 o’clock positions. The screw holes should be at the 9 o’clock and 3 o’clock positions. Step 5 Install the distributor clamp and tighten the clamp bolt lightly so the distributor can still be rotated. Step 6 Set the upper housing on the base assembly as shown in figure 3. (The upper housing will only install one way because of the locating screw) Rotate the base assembly slightly if necessary so that the slot in the shutter wheel lines up with the slot in the upper housing. Tighten the distributor clamp

1. Remove electronics enclosure from its mounting location. 2. Unplug and remove the OEM ignition. 3. Set the programming switches on the T3 to your settings. 4. Install the T3 Ignition in the same location in the electronics enclosure. 5. Test the T3 Ignition. 6. Close the electronics enclosure cover plate and mount the module in the PWC. Installation Remove electronics enclosure from its Mounting Location 1. Using a 10mm socket remove the mounting bolts on each side of the electronics enclosure. 2. Remove the enclosure cover and set aside the screws, 2 mounting flanges, ‘O” ring, and enclosure top. Unplug and Remove the OEM Ignition 1. Using 10mm socket, remove bolts from each side of the OEM ignition. Lift out the ignition and unplug all connectors attached to the OEM ignition. Now remove the protective metal plate that was under the ignition and two 3/16″ thick washers under that plate. 2. On 2004 models and newer remove the wire harness for the two black connectors just unplugged from the OEM ignition. Trace each wire from each black connector back to in-line connectors and separate each of these connectors. Set the two harnesses aside. Install the T3 Ignition in the Electronics Enclosure 1. Install the T3 ignition into the mounting bracket supplied with your T3. Slide the end of the ignition module under the lip at the rear of the bracket an press the wire end of the ignition firmly into the bracket. Attach the keeper bracket using two 5mm bolts supplied. Place the ignition/bracket in the location where the OEM ignition and metal plate were removed. Secure the ignition in place with the supplied bolts

Programming the RPM The engine application and rpm activation points are easily selected through push buttons on the LED panel. This Switch can be programmed for a variety of engine and ignitions as shown below. 1-Cylinder This program is used for individual coil per cylinder systems (such as GM LS-1 engines, or ’99-Up Mustangs) 2-Cylinder This is for ignitions with coil packs that fire two cylinders at the same time (waste spark systems) 2-Cyl. Odd Use on coil pack ignitions that are on odd-fire engines such as a Viper V-10 or Harley-Davidson motorcycle. 4-Cylinder Typical 4-cylinder engines with a distributor. 6-Cylinder Typical 6-cylinder engines with a distributor. 6-Cyl. Odd Typical 6-cylinder odd-fire engines with a distributor. 8-Cylinder Typical 8-cylinder engines with a distributor. 1.2 Push Button LED Panel The rpm activation points and cylinder select are programmed through the push buttons on the LED panel (Figure 1) . Press the Mode button, and notice that the indicator point above the On RPM lights. When that point is on, you can scroll the rpm value up or down with the arrows on the left of the panel. Once your On rpm is set, push the Mode button until the Off RPM point lights, then set the off rpm point. Note that if the rpm point is not changed within 2-seconds, the screen returns to the current rpm reading (zero when the engine is not running). In this way, the fluid circulates between the pump and the motor. Movement of distributor valves and pistons The distributor valves play an important role in fluid circulation. The valves are placed both in the oil pump and motor. When the pump pistons move to the compression side, the valves connect the piston chamber and the high- pressure chamber. When the pump pistons move to the expansion side, the valves allow a connection between the piston chamber and the low-pressure chamber. The valve in the oil motor moves opposite to its counterpart in the pump, ensuring the circulation of fluid within the system
