Remove the seat and locate the tail light plug, this should be attached to the frame with a plastic clip where the fender meets the frame cross member. Unplug the connector and plug in the male and female ends of the supplied wire harness. Route the harness as shown following the other wire looms and then down along the main frame of the trailer hitch or your fender support to the bottom of the rear fender. Secure the harness using the supplied cable ties. Install a plug that matches that of your trailer. The wires in the harness functions/colors are as follows: Black = Ground Brown = Tail Light Red = Brake Light Orange = Left Turn signal Blue = Right Turn signal NOTE: If your trailer has only four (4) wires you will need to use a 5 to 4 wire converter. These are available at most auto parts stores or thru RIVCO Products. NOTE: If your trailer uses more than two (2) incandescent tail light bulbs the use of a trailer wiring isolator is strongly advised as this additional load is too much for the motorcycles wiring to support and may cause damage to the electrical system. Trailer wiring isolators are available although not as common in auto parts stores and are also available thru RIVCO Products. If you are installing both you must first install the 5 to 4 wire converter then the isolator then to the trailer plug.

No matter if it’s a flatbe Rod Haskins, owner of metal bender Maintenance &Fab in Richmond, California, isn’t a rider himself, but his research indicated a market existed for a sturdily built, full-sized motorcycle trailer that folded compactly when not in use. Learning of a dormant but clever design developed by an agricultural trailer company, Haskins struck a deal, made several improvements and the Stinger Trailer was born. Werecently spent some time with a Stinger and found it to be a clever product. The Stinger arrived folded and secured to a wooden pallet. Assembly was simple, and within 20 minutes we had the 180- pound trailer ready to tow. The trailer is not towable in the folded position—that’s for storage only. Place the motorcycle on its centerstand on level ground. Remove the four bolts in the seat handles with a 6mm Allen head socket and remove the seat. NOTE: The rubber bushingsinside the seat may fall out during removal; Make sure they are in place upon reassembly.2. Remove both side covers.3. Remove the (5) five bolts in the rear fender (license plate panel, between saddlebags)with a 5mm Allen head socket. Remove the rear fender. NOTE: The fifth bolt is behindthe license plate.4. Remove the (3) three bolts in the passenger floorboard holder cover with a 5mm Allenhead socket. Remove the cover and repeat for other side.5. Remove the (2) bolts in the rear saddlebag guard with a 12mm socket. Remove thesaddlebag guard and repeat for other side 6. Remove the bolt in the muffler hanger using a 12mm socket. Repeat for other side.7. Loosen, but do not remove, the muffler clamps using a 6mm Allen head socket. Rotatethe mufflers down slightly to allow the hitch hoop to slide between the mufflers and the saddlebag

Seat: (if optional accessory wire is to be used) After removing trunk pan, run a stiff piece of wire from the bottom of the left saddlebag frame behind the rear tire up until it comes out under the trunk. Then hook open end of wire harness to fish wire and tape with electrical tape. Pull the harness back down to the bottom of the saddlebag frame. Route the long part of harness wire around the back of the license plate light to the right side 6-pin vertical connector just in front of tail light assembly. Unplug the stock connector and plug wire harness in between the stock plugs. Do the same for the left side with the short side of the Y on the harness. Now pull the slack down from the bottom of the harness and tuck all of the wires under the frames tubes so that the pan can be reinstalled without any problems. You can now hook up the loose ends of the harness to any style connector to match your trailer connector using the following color codes: GREEN GROUND ORANGE- LEFT TURN YELLOW- BRAKE BLUE- RIGHT TURN BROWN- TAIL RED POWER . Note : This accessory is an electronic isolated trailer wire harness. It should be installed by a qualified mechanic . 1. Disconnect the negative from the battery. 2. Install the harness. 3. When connecting to the trailer make sure all wires are used for the proper use and are waterproof. Make sure there are not exposed wires. Consult the trailer manufacturer for proper wiring. 4. Reconnect the battery negative. Double check the functions

INSTALLATION ■ Outline Procedures This section gives general information needed for mounting the individual radio components on and in the fairing. A) Fairing 1) Install radio on fairing before mounting fairing on motorcycle. (Remove fairing from your motorcycle when already mounted). 2) Remove fairing parts. 3) Drill unit mount holes. 4) Install six wire clips. 5) Install windshield on fairing before install- ing speakers. 6) Install radio indicator I on indicator panel II , then install indicator panel on fairing. 7) Install speakers III. 8) Install nutplate IV. 9) Install Power Amplifier in fairing. 10) Install radio funer VI. 11) Install the radio controller VII. 12) Install controller base panel VIII 13) Install radio switch sub-wire. 14) Connect adapter harness and wires inside fairing by working through left turn signal lens hole. B) Motorcycle frame and handlebar 1) Remove travel trunk and seat. Unscrew four shelter bolts (M6, one on each side at front and rear) to route antenna feeder. 2) Install antenna mount and antenna IX. 3) Route antenna feeder along the frame tube. 4) Install radio switch X on left handlebar lever bracket and route the wires. 3 of 11 Page 4 C) Fairing instllation 1) Install fairing on motorcycle. 2) Connect motorcycle wire harness 9-P coupler to fairing wire 9-P coupler. 3) Connect radio switch wire to switch sub- wire.4) Connect antenna feeder. 5) Confirm that radio operates properly. Reinstall parts removed in step 2 or (A) and in step 1 of (B). REWORKING ■ Remove Fairing and Fairing Parts (Fig.10) 1) Install radio on fairing before mounting fairing on motorcycle. (Remove fairing from your motorcycle when already mounted). 2) Remove right and left fairing pockets, right and left turn signal lenses, right and left nutplates, left hole cover and indi- cator base panel from fairing. (Fig.10) Fig. 10 LEI-1 NU I PLATE 4 of 11■ Reworking on Fairing — Speaker mounting holes- 1) Remove 18 mm grommet. 2) Lightly roll template so that it will follow contour of fairing snugly. 3) Position template on fairing with its upper and outer edges aligned with those offairing as indicated by arrows. 4) Attach template to fairing using adhesive tape where shown. 5) Punch mark centers of four holes with a
drift and hammer. 6) Drill 6 mm holes through marked centers. To obtain a more balanced response with richer, deeper bases, drill two 50 mm holes in the fairing so as to link the speaker box with the inside of the fairing. Fig. 11-1
