The 1100X/F-TL interface module is used when installing remote start
products in Toyota/Lexus vehicles equipped with a factory immobilizer.
The 1100X/F-TL allows for easy interfacing between the remote start and
the factory immobilizer, while maintaining the integrity of the OEM sys-
tem. The factory transponder-based anti-theft system uses a small elec-
tronic chip hidden in the key to send a code to the vehicle’s transceiver
when the ignition is energized. The key must be placed in the ignition
and turned to the RUN position. This energizes a coil surrounding the
key, which in turn energizes the chip, which sends a code to the vehicle. If
the vehicle does not detect the code being sent, the vehicle will start and
then immediately shut off or will just crank, and the anti-theft light will
flash. The 1100X/F-TL provides a valid code to the vehicle whenever it is
remote started, but does not affect the immobilizer system during normal
vehicle operation; the immobilizer system remains fully functional

Odometer • The total riding distance is indicated. Fuel gauge • The gauge indicates how much fuel is in the tank (the gauge does not work when the ignition switch is off). The needle moves from full “F” to empty “E” as your fuel decreases. Fill the tank with a good grade of 89-90 octane unleaded gasoline. High Beam Indicator LIght • The high beam light indicates that the high beam headlight is in use. NOTE: Apply the low beam to avoid obstructing the view of other drivers. Pull up on the four fresh air duct-retaining pins to release them from the radiator core support. 4. Lift up and remove the fresh air duct from the vehicle as shown. Loosen the hose clamp which secures the intake tube to the mass air sensor, and then disconnect the intake tube from the mass air sensor as shown. 6. Engine Oil Replacement • Replace the engine oil after the first 50 miles or 1 hour with 5w50, 10w50 or 15W50 synthetic engine oil. Then replace again every 1,500 miles or 1 each year. Check oil level every 500 miles, add oil if needed. Changing the Engine Oil (1).Warm up the engine for a few minutes. (2).Stop the engine. (3). Place scooter on center stand. (4).Place an oil pan under the engine and remove the dipstick. (5).Remove the drain plug and drain the oil. Reach in drain hole, pull out filter clean and reinstall, after all oil drains out. (6).Reinstall drain plug. (7). Fill the engine with oil until the level is in the designated area on the dipstick. (8).Start the engine and check for oil leaks. If a leak is found stop the engine immediately and look for cause. Rear Wheel Oil Replacement • Replace the gear oil after the first 500 miles with 5W/50 synthetic engine oil. Replace the gear oil again every 4 months or every 2000 miles. • Replacing the Gear Oil (1).Put the scooter on the center stand (please see photo below) . (2).Place an oil pan under the gear case (please see photo below) . (3).Remove the oil filler bolt and the drain plug to drain the oil (please see photo below) . (4).Reinstall and tighten the drain plug. (5).Fill the gear case with oil (please see photo below) . (6).Reinstall the oil filler bolt. (7).Check for oil leakage. Cleaning Air Cleaner Be sure to check the air cleaner regularly. (1).Place the scooter on the center stand. (2).Unscrew and remove the left side panel. (3).Remove the air cleaner cover by removing the screws. (4).Take out the air cleaner by removing the screws. (5).Remove the air cleaner element and wash it gently, but thoroughly in solvent. Replace if damaged. (6).Squeeze out the excess solvent and dry it. (7).Apply oil to the entire surface of the air cleaner and squeeze out the excess oil. It should be damp but not dripping. At the time of manufacture, the cooling system is filled with a 50 :50 mixture of distilled water and ethylene glycol anti-freeze . This 50:50 mixture will provide the optimum corrosion protection and excellent heat protection, and will protect the cooling system from freezing at temperatures above -31 °C (-24 °F) . If the motorcycle is to be exposed to temperatures below -31 °C (-24 °F), this mixing ratio should be increased up to 55 % or 60 % according to the figure. CAUTION • Use a high quality ethylene glycol base anti-freeze, mixed with distilled water . Do not mix an alcohol base anti-freeze and different brands of anti-freeze. • Do not rut in more than 60%anti-freeze or less than 50 %. (Refer to the right figure.) • * Do not use a radiator anti-leak additive. A WARNING Do not remove the radiator cap when the engine is hot. • * Give a pressure of about 110 kPa (1.1 kgf/cm 2, 15 .6 psi) and see if the system holds this pressure for 10 seconds. • * If the pressure should fall during this 10-second interval, it means that there is a leaking point in the system. In such a case, inspect the entire system and replace the leaking component or part. A WARNING When removing the radiator cap tester, put a rag on the filler to prevent spouting of engine coolant. CAUTION Do not allow the pressure to exceed the radiator cap release pressure, or the radiator can be damaged

1. Secure scooter inastableupright position. 2. Attach bracket E to underside of scooter frame -Forward cross brace on E attaches to existing holes on underside of scooter frame. Secure bracket E with new bolts provided. -Ensure bracket E is square with scooter and locate two rear holes on bracket E . Two rear holes on E will align with scooter frame rear cross brace. Drill 3/8 inch holes incross brace to align with rear holes on bracket E . Attach with bolts provided. 3. Attach top of bracket C (left) / D (right) to outside of rear shock mount using new bolt provided. NOTE: A shorter bracket Dis included and required on some MP3250 models. 4. Fuel level a) Add fuel as necessary. b) Do not overfill (no fuel in the filler neck). c) Do not mix oil with gas. d) Replace cap tightly. e) Do not refuel a hot engine. Allow engine to cool before adding fuel. 3. Warning decals a) Make sure all warning decals are legible and securely attached. b) Replace as necessary. 4. Tires a) Ensure that both tires have at least 1/8 in. tread depth at center. b) Both tires must be inflated to the pressure indicated on the tire sidewalls. c) Replace the tires id tread height is less then 1/8 in. at the center of tires. 5. Drive chain a) Check condition and tension. b) Lubricate and adjust tension as necessary. 6. Throttle a) Check for smooth operation. Make sure the throttle “snaps” back to idle. b) Check for frayed cable or damaged cable housing. Replace damaged cable. c) Check for mud, debris and ice in the throttle cable/mechanism. Clean out any contamination.

• Check before Riding • Make sure the brakes work properly and adjust if necessary. • Check all nuts and bolts for tightness. • Make sure that the gas tank is full. • Check tire pressure. • Check all gauges. • Check and make sure that all of the lights are working properly, headlight, taillight, turn signal etc. • Check the engine oil. STARTING, RIDING, STOPPING AND PARKING Before starting, put the kickstand up. • Practice in an empty area away from people and vehicles. • Always remember to obey your local and state laws and regulations. • Be sure your bike has fuel and oil. • Be sure the bike is in neutral. • Apply the rear brake. • Turn the key on. • Press the electric start button. • After engine warms up, push the choke 1/4 in then 1/2 in and in 1 minute completely off. • If the engine is warm it should start without choking. • For a cold engine, let the engine idle for 1-3 minutes before driving, then begin to turn the choke off. • Never exceed 4 seconds when engaging the starter. • Release the button immediately after the engine starts. • Do not apply the key while the engine is running, it can cause damage to the starter. • Sit on the bike keeping one foot on the ground for stability, release the clutch by pulling in the lever, shift bike into first gear by using the foot shifter. • Apply the throttle gradually as you release the clutch lever slowly until the clutch engages. • To shift into the next gear release the throttle pull the clutch lever in and shift into the next gear, after you shift, gradually apply the throttle and slowly release the clutch. • Use this sequence when shifting to all gears. • Only put your feet on the ground when coming to a stop. • When coming to a stop decrease your speed by releasing the throttle and applying the brakes and the clutch, if the tire skids release the brake and reapply. • Parking: Put your kick stand down.
