remove the original gear selector rod from the motorcycle. Note: The ball joint and locknut on the transmission linkage have a left hand thread. This is identified by either a machined ring on the gear selector rod on Daytona 675 or on the ball joint on Street Triple and Street Triple R. 1. Front ball joint 2. Locknut 3. Gear selector rod 4. Machined ring, left hand thread identification 5. Machined ring, left hand thread identification (StreetTriple and Street Triple R) 6. Remove the front and rear ball joints and front locknut only from the gear selector rod. Retain the locknut and both ball joints for re-use. Retain the gear selector rod if the motorcycle is to be returned to its original condition. 7. Remove the plastic end caps from the quickshifter assembly. 8. Screw the locknut on to the rear of the quickshifter assembly (right hand thread) leaving 8mm of thread exposed. 1. Quick shifter assembly 2. Locknut 9. Screw the rear ball joint (right hand thread) on to the rear of the quickshifter assembly until it contacts the locknut. Unscrew the ball joint, only enough to achieve the correct orientation in relation to the quickshifter cable, as shown below. Finger tighten the locknut at this stage. 1. Ball joint 2. Fit the locknut and front ball joint (left hand thread) to the front of the quickshifter assembly Screw the locknut and ball joint on to the quickshifter assembly to achieve a dimension between the ball joint ends of 203.5 mm. Ensure that the ball joint is in the correct orientation to the quickshifter cable, as shown below. Finger tighten the locknut at this stage. 1. Ball joint 2. Quickshifter assembly 3. Locknut 4. First, loosen and remove both screws between joint pipe and exhaust. Then, remove the other two upper screws, as in illustration 2, between cylinder and joint pipe. This may be a little difficult to reach. For additional ease removing screws, raise up motor frame with a crowbar or chisel. Now, remove old joint pipe and replace with SIP stainless steel pipe. Don’t forget to replace old gaskets with new gaskets, included in delivery. 1. Remove the rear shock and the standard exhaust pipe. And attach the rear shock again. (Standard exhaust flange should remain the current position) 2. Lightly attach the front exhaust pipe to the engine. (See Photo. 2) 3. Insert the joint and tail pipe to lightly attached front exhaust pipe in step 2. Shake the whole for the better fitting. Then, attach the supplied springs to the joint. Lightly attach this tail pipe with the standard bolt. *Insert the two inner collars to the joint. 4. Lightly assemble the silencer and the silencer stay. Insert this to the tail pipe. Lightly attach this tail pipe to the standard attachment position with supplied bolt and collar. Check the best position for the silencer band. (See Photo. 3) 5. Remove the silencer attached in step 4. Securely fasten the bolt of the silencer band. Insert this silencer to the tail pipe and lightly fasten the bolt of the stay. 6. Securely attach the tail pie followed by the silencer stay. 7. Attach supplied springs to the joint of the silencer. 8. Clean all surfaces. Remove any oil on the exhaust pipe and silencer. 9. Make sure all bolts and nuts are securely fastened. Date: 02-10-10 POWER STEERING CONVERSION TOYOTA LAND CRUISER SPECIAL NOTE: The components packaged in this kit have been assembled and machined for specific type of conversions. Modifications to any of the components will void any possible warranty or return privileges. If you do not fully understand modifications or changes that will be required to complete your conversion, we strongly recommend that you contact our sales department for more information. This instruction sheet is only to be used for the assembly of Advance Adapter components. We recommend that a service manual pertaining to your vehicle be obtained for specific torque values, wiring diagrams and other related equipment. These manuals are normally available at automotive dealerships and parts stores. Installation Tips We recommend Weldless DD and Double Splined universal joints for the best steering system. Weldless DD universal joint features two set screws for maximum holding power. Position yoke, tighten set screws to mark the shaft. Remove yoke and drill the set point on the shaft. When installing the universal joint, set screws are tightened into the countersink mark, then tighten the jam nut and the shaft will not move. We recommend the use of Loctite. Spline both ends (3/4″-36) universal joint is the preferred design, as it allows the shaft to be rotated in small increments during installation to properly align or phase the steering system. The same installation procedure as the Weldless DD should be used, or it is acceptable to simply grind a flat surface on the spline to let the set screw.

1. Shorten the shift lever rod of 34mm. and make a new thread with a M6 tap, the sensor must be installed on the engine side, (see picture). 2. Screw up the sensor between the ball joint and the rod (use the provided M6 joint if necessary). You can also make a male thread on the rod with a M6 die. IMPORTANT: when the ball joint and rod are screwed up, keep the no. 10 spanner on the side of the sensor which is being locked, so that the sensor itself is not subjected to torque which might damage it irreparably. The sensor must therefore never be between the two spanners. 3. Position the Control Unit under or near the seat. 4. Connect the sensor to the fitting 4 PIN connector placed on the Power Shift Control Unit. 5. Find the common cable of the Coils on the bike harness. 6. Split the common cable of the Coils and connect it in series to the Power Shift Control Unit (see the drawing). On many motorcycles (ex. Ducati 749-999 etc.) it’s possible to wire in the same way directly to the stand switch or to the engine run switch, some tuners prefer the conection to the common wire of the injectors. 7. Connect to ground the Black “GND” wire through the proper ring. 8. Connect the Red “+12V” wire to a positive of the harness (if possible with the key switched but not timed so that it is possible to make regulations with the engine off), a positive which is usually available is the rear brake light sensor power supply.

STEP 1 Remove the stock mirrors. LEFT SIDE: STEP 2 Choose the longest Allen bolt from the hardware kit that passes through the hand control, a split lock washer, an internal tooth star washer, the turn signal mount (if applicable), and still provides maximum thread engagement in the mirror stem without bottoming out. Mount the mirror with the hardware listed above. (Place the star washer between the mirror stem and the hand control). RIGHT SIDE: STEP 3 If the turn signals are not mounted under the mirror, proceed in the same manner as the left side. STEP 4 If the turn signal is mounted under the mirror proceed as follows: Apply Red loctite to the short threaded end of the special mounting stud. STEP 5 Remove the turn signal assembly from the stock mirror. Pay close attention to how the stock turn signal ball joint assembly comes apart as this will aid in re-assembly. STEP 6 Place a star washer over the mounting stud and insert the mirror and stud assembly into the hand control. Re-assemble the turn signal ball joint being sure the turn signal light is aimed to your liking. You may wish to consult your H-D shop manual when re-assembling this ball joint. WIRING: STEP 7 Determine where you wish to splice into the H-D turn signal wiring harness. Cut the harness or strip back an appropriate amount to vinyl wire covering and prepare the wires for splicing. Make the wire connections as follows: Wires from Turn Signal Mirror H-D Turn Signal Wire Colors Black – (Ground) Black (Ground) Red – (Running Light) Blue (Running Light) White (Turn Signal) Violet (Turn Signal) If a more pronounced flash is desired, one may eliminate the running light function and wire as follows: Black Black Red and White together Violet If these turn signal mirrors are to be used in conjunction with stock front turn signals, no load equalizer will be required. If the turn signal mirrors are REPLACING stock front turn signals, in most cases, a load equalizer is required. For easiest access we suggest installing the load equalizer under the seat; tapping into the main wiring harness that leads to the tail lights and rear turn signals.

ROUTING ANTENNA CABLES 1. See Figure 4. Gently remove left side cover (1) by pulling from frame tubes (no tools required). 2. Connect original antenna cable (not shown) to bottom of joint assembly. 3. Route antenna cable/wiring between left frame rail and fender. 4. See Figure 5. Attach cable to docking point support bracket in location (1) using short cable strap. 5. See Figure 4. Coil excess antenna cable/wiring (2) and use long cable strap (3) to fasten cable to frame under left side cover (1) with vehicle wiring harness. 6. See Figure 6. Cap unused wiring connector with connector housing (10).
