installation Do not lubricate the left grip of handlebar in any way before installation. This could allow grip to come off while riding which could result in loss of control of vehicle and death or serious injury. 1. Remove existing left handlebar grip by carefully cutting it away from the handlebar using a sharp blade or knife. Remove right grip/throttle sleeve assembly following instructions in appropriate Service Manual. After removal, make sure that left and right handlebar ends are clean and smooth. 2. Check that end caps are securely fastened to grips. Tighten screw inside grip to secure end caps. 3. Assemble new throttle sleeve to handlebar. Refer to appropriate Service Manual for detailed procedure. NOTE Surfaces to be glued must be clean, dry, and free from oil. If surfaces are not clean, dry, and free from oil, then the new application may not adhere as desired. Please observe the following WARNINGS when using the adhesive contained in this kit. FLAMMABLE, INJURIOUS TO EYES, HARMFUL IF SWALLOWED, VAPOR HARMFUL. FLAMMABLE: CONTAINS METHYL ETHYL KETONE. Use only in well ventilated areas. Avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes, and prolonged skin contact. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Call a physician immediately. This product contains a chemical(s) known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. 4. Liberally apply a coating of Harley-Davidson Adhesive (Part No. 99839-95) to the inside of left handlebar grip using the cotton swab. Make sure adhesive fully covers all inside surface area of the grip. Also, apply a coat of adhesive to the handlebar end. 5. Check how the rectangular pattern is oriented on the throttle (right) grip. Align pattern on left grip to match right grip and immediately push the new grip completely onto handlebar end. 6. Rotate the end caps so the “Live to Ride”text is positioned at the top of both grips. NOTE Do not hesitate when installing left grip or adhesive will dry before installation is complete. Allow 6-8 hours at 70°F to achieve full cure of the adhesive. Prior to starting engine, verify that the throttle control will snap back to the idle position when released. A throttle control that prevents the engine from automatically returning to idle can lead to a loss of control of vehicle which could result in death or serious injury. Cleaning

The engine and transmission assembly also acts as swing arm. Suspension is provided by two rear shock absorbers. Spring preload is adjustable for maximum efficiency under all load and road conditions. Rear wheel travel is 80 mm , more than enough to smooth out even the roughest surfaces. The SPORTCITY 250 i.e. is equipped with 15 inch wheels and large, high profile tubeless tyres (120/70 at the front and 130/80 at the rear). Rolling diameter is therefore equivalent to that of a 16 inch tyre but the ability to absorb shocks from rough road surfaces is far better, ensuring a superbly smooth ride. In conjunction with the excellent frame, this intelligent choice of tyres gives the SPORTCITY 250 i.e. excellent stability and the sort of intuitive feel that makes it a piece of cake to ride even for novices . The brakes are another of the strong points of the SPORTCITY 250 i.e. . The new system features triple discs for far shorter stopping distances and far greater active safety. Even inexperienced riders will have no trouble in pulling up well ahead of trouble. At 90 km/h the SPORTCITY 250 i.e. takes just 2.7 seconds to come to a full stop . The front brakes feature two 260 mm discs and floating calipers with two parallel pistons . The rear disc is a 220 mm unit with single piston caliper. Engine technology is another major plus point for the SPORTCITY 250 i.e. Its new electronic fuel injected engine is state of the art on the scooter scene . Powerful, flexible, and extremely low on emissions and consumption, this 250 cc single cylinder unit is perfect for the job in hand. Developing 22.5 HP at 8,000 rpm with 21 Nm of torque at 6,250 rpm, the engine delivers standard-setting performance . It also enables the Sportcity to function as a fun to ride sports scooter not only in town centres but on fast urban ring roads too. And the SPORTCITY 250 i.e. respects the environment wherever it goes, being one of the few scooters to conform to Euro 3 emission control standards. Finally, miserly fuel consumption and a generous 9 litre tank give the SPORTCITY 250 i.e. great autonomy . Engine Horizontal, single cylinder, 4 stroke. IGNITION: by means of an electronic device that offers many advantages, i. e., allowing to produce a higher tension peak reached in a very short time and with a very limited length of the discharge. It follows: 1) Engine regular running also with spark-plugs very dirty. 2) Starting facility when cold. 3) Light ignition and combustion of the fuel. 4) Higher life of the spark – plugs because of a smaller electrodes wear. 5) Unalterability, during the time, of the ignition advance because the traditional mechanical devices exposed to the wear (as the contact breaker cam, contact breaker, sliding block etc.) are not longer present.

DISASSEMBLING THE COMPONENTS – Never use pliers or similar tools to slacken and/or tighten nuts and bolts. Always use a suitable spanner. – Mark all connections (hoses, wiring, etc.) with their positions before disconnecting them. Identify each connection using a distinctive symbol or convention. – Mark each part clearly to avoid confusion when refitting. – Thoroughly clean and wash any components you have removed using a detergent with low flash point. – Mated parts should always be refitted together. These parts will have seated themselves against one another in service as a result of normal wear and tear and should never be mixed up with other similar parts on refitting. – Certain components are matched-pair parts and should always be replaced as a set. – Keep the motorcycle and its components well away from heat sources. ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS To disconnect the electrical connector, follow the procedures below. Failure to comply with these procedures may lead to irreparable damages to the connector and the wiring as well. If present, press the special safety hooks. ENGINE OIL DANGER Prolonged or repeated contact with engine oil may cause severe skin damage. Wash your hands thoroughly after handling engine oil. Do not release into the environment. Dispose of engine oil through the nearest waste oil reclamation firm or through the supplier. Wear latex gloves during servicing. Change engine after the first 1000 km (621 mi) and then every 6000 km (3728 mi), 2.11.2. (Recommended) oil fork , see 1.8.1. FRONT FORK OIL DANGER Modifying the suspension settings or the viscosity of the front fork oil will affect its response. Standard oil viscosity: SAE 20 W. Choose the oil viscosity to determine the type of response required (SAE 5W for a softer suspension, 20W for a stiffer suspension). The two grades can also be mixed in varying solutions to obtain the desired response. F.A. or Fork have special properties, which enable them to retain virtually the same viscosity regardless of temperature to give constant damping response
