The tachometer unit is equipped with the following: ● an odometer (which shows the total distance traveled) ● two tripmeters (which show the distance traveled since they were last set to zero) ● a fuel reserve tripmeter (which shows the distance traveled since the fuel level warning light came on) ● a meter lighting control ● a clock ● a self diagnosis device NOTE: ● Be sure to turn the key to “ON” before using the “SELECT” and “RESET” buttons. ● To switch the odometer, the trip- meters and the fuel reserve trip- meter displays between kilometers and miles, press the “SELECT” button for at least two seconds. Push the “RESET” button to select the desired brightness. 5. Push the “SELECT” button to set the brightness level. 6. Turn the key to “OFF”. NOTE: When adjusting the meter lighting, the odometer display will indicate the brightness level. Clock mode To set the clock: 1. Push the “SELECT” button and “RESET” button together for at least two seconds. 2. When the hour digits start flashing, push the “RESET” button to set the hours. 3. Push the “SELECT” button, and the minute digits will start flashing. 4. Push the “RESET” button to set the minutes. 5. Push the “SELECT” button and then release it to start the clock. Shift timing indicator light This indicator light can be set to come on and go off at the desired engine speeds and is used to inform the rider when it is time to shift to the next higher gear. The electrical circuit of the indicator light can be checked by turning the key to “ON”. If the indicator light does not come on for a few seconds, then go off, have a Yamaha dealer check the electrical circuit. (See pages 3-7-3-10 for a detailed explanation of the function of this indicator light and on how to set it.) EAU04923* Coolant temperature warning light “” This warning light comes on when the engine overheats. When this occurs, stop the engine immediately and allow the engine to cool. The electrical circuit of the warning light can be checked by turning the key to “ON”. The odometer shows the total distance that the motorcycle has travelled. The trip meter shows the distance travelled since the meter was last reset to zero. The trip meter can be reset to zero by rotating the reset knob situated on the left hand side of the speedometer. TACHOMETER The tachometer shows the engine speed in revolutions per minute – rpm (r/min). On the right side of the tachometer face is the ‘red zone’. General Information COOLANT TEMPERATURE GAUGE The coolant temperature gauge indicates the temperature of the engine coolant. On the right -hand side of the gauge face is the ‘red zone. If the temperature gauge needle moves into the ‘red zone’ this indicates that the engine is overheating. needle enters the ‘red zone’ as severe WARNING LIGHTS I a0 INDICATORS When the indicator switch is turned to left or right, the corresponding direction indicator light flashes on and off. cl ~ LOW OIL PRESSURE: The low oil pressure warning light becomes illuminated whenever the oil pressure is dangerously low (or the ignition switch is in the ‘ON’ position with the engine not running). When the engine is running, the light will remain off when sufficient oil pressure is present. When starting the motorcycle, check that the light comes on when the ignition is in the ‘ON’ position, but goes out as soon as the engine starts A! CAUTION: Stop the engine immediately if the low oil pressure warning light comes on during normal operation. Do not restart the engine until the fault has been rectified. Severe engine damage will result from running the engine when the oil warning light is illuminated. HIGH BEAM: When the headlights are switched on and the headlight dip switch is set to ‘high beam’, the high beam warning light will illuminate. IElI NEUTRAL: The neutral warning light indicates when the transmission is in neutral (no gear selected). The warning light will illuminate when the transmission is in neutral with ignition switch in the ‘ON’ position. ml LOW FUEL: The low fuel indicator will illuminate when there are approximately 3.7 litres of fuel remaining in the tank. Et3 ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LIGHT: The malfunction indicator light for the engine management system illuminates when the ignition is switched on, remains illuminated during starting, and goes out shortly after the engine starts. If the malfunction indicator light becomes illuminated during riding, a fault has occurred in the engine management system. In this case the system will switch to ‘limp-home’ mode so that riding may continue. Contact an authorised Triumph dealer as soon as possible to have the fault checked out and rectified

Setup operations include 12/24hour clock, bar tachometer scale, shift warning RPM, numbers of engine rotation per signal, wheel circumference, units, odometer adjustment, units of temperature, temperature warning and fuel meter input resistance selection. These must be set up step by step. The computer will automatic reversion to main screen if no button operation for 75 seconds at any setting screen. 2. Press both MODE & RESET buttons to go into setting screen. In setting screens, press RESET button to add the flashing digit by 1 or convert units, press MODE button to confirm the digit setting and jump to next digit or next setting screen to be set. Press MODE button for 2 seconds at any setting screen to finish the setting and go to main screen. 3. It displays “12 or 24H and XX:XX-XX” symbols and AM/PM in case you select 12H. Operates buttons as descriptions of item 2 to finish clock and jump to 8,000/16,000rpm scale setting. 4. It displays 8,000rpm scale, presess RESET button to convert 8,000 or 16,000rpm. Press MODE button to confirm the setting and jump to shift RPM warning setting. 5. It displays ” RPM rXXX00 “. Follow the item 2 of button operation to finish the shift RPM warning setting and jump to engine specification setting. 6. It displays “SPC-X.X RPM”, the default value is 1.0; there are 4 options: 1.0, 2.0, 3.0 and 0.5. It means the numbers of engine rotation per signal. For example the value 2.0 means the engine rotate 2 turns to output a signal. 7. Press RESET button to move in loop sequence from one to another value of the 4 values. Press MODE button to confirm the setting and go to wheel circumference setting screen. 8. In “cXXXX” display, “c” means “Circumference”, following 4 default digits; flashing digit is digit to be set. Follow the item 2 of button operation to finish the wheel circumference setting and jump to unit setting. 9. It displays KM/h or MPH, each press of RESET button converts unit; press MODE button to confirm unit setting and jump to odometer setting. 10. It displays “ODO & 00000Xkm”, the “X” is tested odometer in factory, follow item 2 to setting a desired odometer and jump to thermometer unit setting. The setting screen will disappear when the odometer is over 30km or your setting is over 30km and returned to main screen. 11. It displaysm ” , or oFF”, each press of RESET button converts , or oFF; press MODE button to confirm temperature setting and jump to temperature warning setting. 12. It displays ” XXX” and the selected unit. Follow the item 2 of button operation to finish the temperature warning setting and go to fuel sensor input resistance setting. 13. It displays “100r and fuel tank symbol”, follow the item 2 to select 100, 250, 510 Ohm or oFF and return to the main screen. The fuel meter bar will disappear if you select oFF mode.

Tighten the set screw until light contact is made with the casting. Do not overtighten. 5. Re-install toe shift lever on the gear shifter shaft. Tighten the shifter retaining screw to 18-22 lb-ft (24-30 Nm) . 6. Install the set screw (5) into the outer gear shifter cover (4). 7. Install outer gear shifter shaft cover with installed set screw over the end of the gear shifter shaft (1). 8. Loosen the set screw slightly to allow the gear shifter shaft cover to rotate. The Vendor shall use the custom wiring specifications from the current model year Harley-Davidson set ups. One fully outfitted 2005 model is being decommissioned and may be used as a model for 2006 set up. 2. Attach custom tray, rear box, and custom electronics box to rear mount. Rear box should be attached to the rear of the motorcycle using no more than four mounting holes. The rear box shall be adjusted to the officer assigned to the motorcycle by moving it forward or to the rear and by using spacers to elevate the box for saddlebag lid clearance. 3. Install custom brackets for radio, radar/lidar, flashlight and rear box tray. Brackets from changed-out motorcycles can be used on the new motorcycles and vendor shall modify or reinforce to correct metal fatigue as necessary to maintain functionality. 4. Install all components in the rear electronic box to facilitate repairs and maximize available storage space. These components include power source for cell phone, two-way radio, opticom power supply and auxiliary fuse panel. 5. Set handlebars, hand controls and position of rear tour pack to proper height and alignment for assigned rider. 6. A 5-sided box (base and 4 sides) metal frame is included in 2004 models and will be re fabricated into a 3- sided box (base and 2 sides) and painted black by the Vendor to match existing 2005 models. This arrangement shall allow for a full-size closed-face “Syncrotec” helmet to be stored in the rear tour pack in addition to mounted specialized equipment.
