Attach the “Y” bracket to the Power Pod by using the two Power Pod socket head screws that come in your parts kit. (This bracket may already be attached from the factory. ) 2) Remove the two screws on the Right Hand switch housing on your Harley Davidson motorcycle and reinstall them through the two “Y” bracket open holes and back into the switch housing holes. Tighten snugly. In this mounting position, the heads of the two socket head screws holding the “Y” bracket to the Power Pod should be touching the handlebar; this is necessary as it grounds the unit for proper operation. If the unit is not grounded properly, it will not operate. 3) Run the Power Pod’s 60″ power cord to your battery. Make sure as you hide the cord on the way to the battery, that your handlebars turn freely and that the cord does not come in contact with hot engine parts that may melt the wire over time. 4) At some point, before reaching the battery, attach (using the two butt connectors) the in-line fuse holder. TIP: Keeping the in-line fuse holder in an easy to access place (like under a side panel etc) rather than under the seat, may help you service the fuse easier in case of a blown fuse. In most cases, it’s easier to pull a side panel off than it is to remove a seat! 5) Attach the Power Pod lead wire (with in-line fuse now already attached) directly to the battery for power at anytime without using the key. The hot lead can also be run to the fuse box which will require using the ignition switch to “Accessory” or “ON” in some cases. TIP : Always use the in-line fuse for safety. 6) Insert the 20 amp fuse into the in-line fuse holder. Strap down with zip-ties any loose wires and you’re done!

PROCEDURE STEP 1*Remove the stock turn signal fixtures and cut the wires in a convenient and inconspicuous splice location. STEP 2**Place the split lock and flat washers on to the hollow bolts as shown in PIC. 1. Run the power leads through the hollow bolts and assemble the Silver Bullets to their mounts. See PIC. 2. STEP 3*Install the new Silver Bullet assemblies to the Mount Bar on the motorcycle. The stock 10-24 x 1/2″ socket head screws are to be re-used. PROCEDURE fOR AMBER DUAL CIRCUIT (fRONT WIRING) LED SILVER BULLET WIRE COLOR CODING IS AS fOLLOWS: Black — Ground Blue — Running Lights (power) Violet — Turn Signal (power) STEP 1 Turn key on. Test OEM stock front turn signal wiring with test light. STEP 2 Locate and mark the running light (power) wire. STEP 3 Individually activate the turn signals and mark the side-appropriate wires. STEP 4 Use the color code above to solder/connect the corresponding Silver Bullet wires to your Join like colored wires on the Silver Bullets and the bike’s turn signal harnesses. Insulate your connections. Route the wires safely out of harms way and tie the wires in place with nylon cable ties. 1995-EARLIER MODELS With a test light, probe the two black wires leading to each of the stock front turn signals. On each side, the wire that has power only when the turn signal button is depressed is the turn signal positive wire. The wire that is “hot” constantly when the key is on is the running light wire. Connect the violet wire from the Silver Bullet to the bikes turn signal wire, and the blue Silver Bullet wire to the bikes running light wire. Connect the black wire from the Silver Bullet to a known good chassis ground (bare metal). Insulate your connections. Route the wires neatly out of harms way and secure them with nylon cable ties. When replacing stock incandescent turn signals with LED lights, it may be necessary to add a load equalizer to make the turn signals flash properly. NOTE: When using Amber Dual Circuit Silver Bullets in rear applications, blue running lights (power) wire will not be used. To avoid corrosion, tape off bare wire. Test the lights for run and flash functions. If they light, but do not flash in the turn mode, add the load equalizer. The load equalizer has one black and two violet wires. The violet wires are not side specific. NOTE: LED Turn signals require the use of one Load Equalizer PER PAIR OF LED TURN SIGNALS to achieve the proper flash function. It is perfectly normal for the equalizer to get warm (about 140 degrees) during turn signal operation.

First, clean the PCIII and battery box with the supplied alcohol wipe. Using the supplied velcro attach PCIII to the battery box. Also secure the unit with the included zip ties. If your bike has cruise control, attach the unit to the face of the cruise control module (Fig. C). 8 Disconnect the large connector from the ECU. Remove the rubber dust shield. 9 Install the dust shield onto the matching connector on the PCIII. Speed Sensor Installation: The microSpeed™ speedometer can be used with either +12V or +5V hall effect electronic sensors located in transmission. Sensor is not include. If your sensor operates on +5V DC wire speedometer to sensor and power as shown in Figure 2 below. Please note that color of wires from the sensor may vary, check sensor documentation for proper signal connections. For +12V sensor you will not need the Blue wire of the microSpeed™ speedometer. It may be cut short, but make sure that the end is properly protected so that it will not accidentally short to metal on the motorcycle. Use Figure 3 below for wiring a +12V sensor. H-D motorcycles 1999 and earlier used +12V sensors. H-D motorcycles 2000 and later use +5V sensors. Note: H-D OEM sensors require 20Kohm resistor(provided) between Sensor power and Sensor signal as shown. Procedure: 1. Locate wires and determine connection points. Cut wires and techflex to proper lengths. 2. Connect speedometer wires to proper signal wires as shown in diagrams, including 20K ohm resistor if using stock H-D sensor. Use either butt connectors provided or customer supplied connectors. 3. Use electrical tape or Heat Shrink tubing around sensor signal wire, sensor power, and resistor to protect resistor. 4. Proceed to Setup Section below. Setup microSpeed™ Speedometer: 1. Before proceeding review User Guide document for detailed instructions on following procedure. 2. Turn on power to speedometer, display should read “odo” 3. Set initial odometer value 4. Turn off power for 2 seconds; then turn power on again 5. Display should read “F 0″ 6. 1. Be sure motorcycle is properly secured before you begin. 2. Remove saddlebags and place aside. 3. Begin removing your stock mufflers. Starting on one side of the bike, loosen the clamp securing the muffler to the headpipe. Remove the two bolts securing the muffler to the mounting bracket on the saddlebag support of the bike. Keep these bolts for use with your new slip-on mufflers. 4. Using supplied clamp over new slip-on muffler install over stock headpipe. Align the mount tab with holes in the mounting bracket on the saddlebag support. Note that there is a left and a right side pipe. The clearance dent is on the side closest to the swingarm providing clearance on many models. Secure pipe with stock bolts. Be sure to apply Loctite® to bolts upon re-installation. 5. Securely tighten bolts, and then tighten the clamp securing the slip-on muffler to the headpipe. 6. On the opposite side of the bike, repeat steps 3-5. 7. Reinstall saddlebags. 8. Be sure to check proper alignment and clearances before riding. 9. Every time you perform regular maintenance be sure to re-torque all clamps and fasteners. SUGGESTION: For maximum performance you can purchase our “Tru-Power” Headers and XXX Air Cleaner to truly complement the power that your new “Tru-Power” Slip-Ons provide. DISCLAIMER: This aftermarket exhaust system is designed to replace a stock exhaust system on a motorcycle with its engine, frame, and other components in their stock design configuration and location. Re-mapping or re-jetting may be necessary after installation of these exhaust pipes.
