1. Remove the following fairing components per the instructions in the Ducati owners manual: • Instrument surrounds • Headlight fairing • Chin fairing (under headlight/air intake) • Right-side middle fairing (covers battery) 2. Disconnect the speedometer cable from the speedometer. Unthread the ring nut at the top of the speedometer cable and retract the cable downward about 4-6 inches. 3. Disconnect the headlight wiring from the headlight bulbs. Retract the rubber boots at the rear of the headlight assembly to gain access to the wire terminals. Note that the two ¼ inch terminals at the high- beam bulb have locking clips that should be depressed before pulling the terminal away from the bulb. 4. Unplug the parking light from the headlight body by grasping the wires and carefully pulling it out. 5. Remove the two rubber plugs covering the lower headlight mounting screw access holes beneath the air intake horn. 6. Using an 8mm hex socket inserted through the lower access holes remove the two hex-head bolts securing the bottom of the headlight to the frame. 7. Using the same socket wrench, remove the two 8mm hex-head bolts securing the top of the headlight assembly to the frame. 8. Remove the headlight assembly from the frame. 9. Remove the two rubber grommets and steel reducing sleeves from the frame at the top mounting locations for the headlight. Leave the lower pair in place; these will be re-used, as shown in Figure 6

1. Place motorcycle on solid, level ground and on center stand if equipped. 2. Remove your turn signal lens. Place it upside down and clean the lens interior with the supplied alcohol wipe. Allow to completely air dry. Note: the LEDs are mounted to the inside of the turn signal lens with the LEDs making direct contact with the lens. The supplied silicone is used to secure the LED board to the lens. It remains flexible but can be removed. Test fit the board in your lens prior to using silicone. 3. Using a small screwdriver, poke a small hole in the end of the tube of silicone. Place a dab of silicone on each of the 12 LEDs on the circuit board. CAUTION : Note the position of the metal pins on the back of the LED board, They must be located 90 degrees from where the holes are that secure the lens to the housing. See attached diagram. 4. Position the round circuit board over the inside of your turn signal lens with the LEDs facing down. Get the board as centered as possible. Allow the silicone to make contact with the inside of the lens and then push down and slightly rotate the board back and forth to allow the LEDs to make contact with the lens surface. Repeat other side. NOTE : the silicone will require 30 minutes in 70 degree weather to tack up. Full cure will occur within 24 hours. We suggest not riding for several hours if possible to allow the best adhesion. 5. You will need to access the following wires; running light (license plate can be used), brake lights, right turn and left turn. Disassemble the bike as needed to gain access to the wiring. Shop Tip: we have found that on the Yamaha Star Series and the Kawasaki Cruisers that installation is much easier when you remove the turn signal bar from the fender. On the Yamahas, there are 3 bolts holding the moustache in position. The wires will unplug from behind the license plate. On the Kawasakis, unplug the signals under the seat and bend the tabs under the fender to be able to remove the wires. 6. We have provided some tubing to slide over the wires so that when you re-install the bulb socket, our wires for the LED boards will not be pinched. This tube should be slid all the way into the turn signal housing. You may have to shorten the tubing for your installation. 7. You will need to run wires through the stem of the turn signal. You can see samples of how the various manufacturers signal housings come apart on our web site. Click on “Other Lighting Products” and then “Turn Signal Conversion Kits” and follow the link. We suggest placing the removed turn signal assembly on a towel on your work area. 7. You will need to leave 2″ of slack in the wires at the turn signal housing to allow for wire connection. 8. Reinstall the turn signal housing back on the motorcycle if removed. NOTE: both of the run/brake circuits must be used. You may shorten the wires only on the run/brake circuits as needed. Do not change the circuits under the heat shrink. T-Tap instructions. Lay the “donor” wire in the slot in the burgandy connector. Close and snap together with pliars. Strip some insulation off of the wire which will be tapping into the factory wire. Crimp one of the pink connectors on the bare wire and plug it into the burgandy T-Tap 9. Connect the green wires from the run/brake circuits to the bikes running lights. The 2 greens can be connected together. 10. Connect the blue wires from the run/brake circuits to the bikes brake lights. The 2 blues can be connected together. 11. Take one of the red wires from a run/brake circuit and connect it to one of the black with white stripe wires coming from one of the LED boards using the supplied red butt connector. Connect the other run/brake circuit red wire to the remaining black with white stripe wire on the other LED board. 12. Connect the black wire from the LED board on the right side of the bike to the right turn signal positive (+) wire on the motorcycle. 13. Connect the black wire from the LED board on the left side of the bike to the left turn signal positive (+) wire on the motorcycle. 14. Plug the wires into the LED boards. If you hold the turn signal lens so that you are viewing the back of the LED board, position the connectors on the board at the 12 o’clock (top) position. The connector on the left is the positive (+) terminal. Connect the red wire to it. Connect the black wire to the remaining connector on the right side. 15. Check operation. LEDs should come on with running lights. LEDs will brighten when brake lights are applied. LEDs will shut off when the amber turn signal comes on. 16. Disassemble all 4 blinker light assemblies as shown in Figure 2 to start the installation. Be sure to remove the lens, gasket, and bulb/reflector assembly completely. Be sure to remove the wires from the reflector assembly prior to removal from the housing. The reflector assembly will not be used any further, keep in a safe place to be stored, if desired. Figure 3 2. Figure 3 (left) shows the function with their labels on the screw terminal block locations. If planning to use the “Running Light” feature, an additional wire might be needed to be installed to use this option. If you desire to use the “Running Light” function of these LED Boards, please refer to section “How to Use the Running Light Feature of the CD1007s”for complete instructions. 3. Pull out the existing wires far enough so that they can easily reach the terminal block. Insert the correct wire in the correct location of the terminal block. Using a jeweler flat-blade screwdriver, tighten the screw to secure the wire in its location. It is highly recommend to keep the terminal block to end of the signal housing facing outward of the motorcycle, as illustrated in Figure 3 (right). Step 1 •Prior to installation it is recommended that you perform a Pre-Function check. To do so, remove the left side battery cover from the bike and expose the post terminals. Hold the positive red lead from the turn signal to the positive red lead of the battery and then place the negative black lead from the turn signal to the negative black lead of the battery. Do one side at a time and ensure that both sides light prior to installation. Step 2 •Remove seat (passenger too if installed) •Remove fender “eyelashes” (required first if passenger seat is installed) •Remove the fender mounting bolts •Disconnect the rear turn signal and taillight harness connector located in the battery box compartment •Remove the fender by gentle prying outward and upward on one side to clear the mounting points, then the other side •Set aside on a flat and smooth surface to protect the fender’s finish (you may want to wrap it in a large towel) Step 3 •Turn the rear fender assembly upside down on a stable and covered/protected surface to prevent damaging the fender/paint •Remove the rear tail assembly and disconnect the wiring harness and license plate light. THIS PART IS NO LONGER NEEDED! Victory Vegas Rear LED Turn Signal Assembly Installation Guide •Remove the stock metal spacers shown below and replace them with the ¼” rubber spacers included in your accessory/installation kit. Step 4 •Place the turn signal assembly mounting arms over the rubber spacers. Align the turn signal in place so the space between the fender and the turn signal tube is consistent. After completing this step, place a small amount of Loc-Tite to the bolt and slowly tighten the stock nuts snugly in place, (extreme over-tightening may damage turn signal or fender lip). You should not need to loosen the mounting arms which are attached to the turn signal bracket to obtain the ideal fit; they are pre-assembled to be aligned. Please also note that due to manufacturing tolerances in the production of the fender, the rolled inner lip of it may interfere with the turn signal assembly seating properly. If this is the case, the lip can be tapped down flush with a rubber mallet or other appropriate tool. Take the necessary precautions to maintain your fender’s finish should this step be necessary. Step 5 •Run the wiring of the turn signal assembly in an appropriate/desireable path to the stock wiring harness. See picture below as an example. Once the wires are run, cut any excess wire and install the bullet connectors (included in the installation/accessory package) to the end of the wires. Due to the small gauge of the wire it’s suggested that you double it over before placing it into the bullet connector and solder it in place. Wire as follows:

1 ) REMOVE THE SCREWS ON THE BACK SIDE OF THE TAIL LIGHT THAT HOLD THE CHROME TRIM TO THE TAIL LIGHT. 2 ) POSITION YOUR CUTTING WHEEL AS SHOWN IN THE PICTURE TO THE LEFT WHERE THE CLEAR PART OF THE LENS TURNS 90 DEGREES. THE CUTTING WHEEL SHALL REMAIN IN THE PLANE OF THE LENS. 3 ) PROCEED TO CUT INTO THE CLEAR LENS APPROXIMATELY HALF OF THE THICKNESS, ALL THE WAY AROUND THE PERIMETER OF THE LENS – BE SURE NOT TO CUT ALL THE WAY THROUGH BECAUSE IT WILL NOT GLUE BACK TOGETHER PROPERLY. SEE “TIPS FOR CUTTING YOUR LENS” BEFORE BEGINNING. TIPS FOR CUTTING YOUR LENS A) KEEP THE CUTTING WHEEL MOVING AND APPLY LIGHT PRESSURE. SITTING IN ONE SPOT WILL JUST MELT THE PLASTIC. WHEN YOU MAKE YOUR WAY AROUND THE ENTIRE PERIMETER, CLEAN ALL THE BURRED PLASTIC FROM AROUND THE EDGES AND FROM INSIDE THE GROOVE YOU’VE MADE. OPENING THE LENS 4 ) PLACE THE TIP OF A FLAT HEAD SCREWDRIVER IN THE GROOVE YOU HAVE CREATED. 5 ) GENTLY TWIST THE SCREWDRIVER TO CRACK THE GLUE ALONG THE GROOVE. NOTE: AS SOON AS YOU HEAR THE SOUND OF THE GLUE GIVING (A CRACK), MOVE THE SCREWDRIVER SLIGHTLY AND ADVANCE THE CRACK. SLOW AND STEADY IS THE NAME OF THE GAME HERE. WIRING UP YOUR CUSTOM LED BOARD PLACE YOUR CUSTOM LED INTEGRATED TAIL BOARD NEXT TO THE HOUSING AND MATCH THE WIRE COLORS AS FOLLOWS: TRY TO HANDLE THE CIRCUIT BOARD AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE AS FINGERPRINTS AND DIRT WILL HINDER THE PERFORMANCE. • BLACK ON HARNESS TO 6″ BLACK ON CUSTOM LED BOARD • BLUE ON HARNESS TO 6″ BLUE ON CUSTOM LED BOARD • YELLOW ON HARNESS TO 6″ YELLOW ON CUSTOM LED BOARD USE THE THREE (3 OF 5) SUPPLIED ORANGE SPLICE CONNECTORS. BE SURE TO SNIP OFF THE BARE ENDS OF THE WIRES ON THE CUSTOM LED TAIL TO ENSURE THAT THERE IS INSULATION WHERE THE SPLICE WILL OCCUR. THE SUPPLIED SPLICE CONNECTORS AUTOMATICALLY DISPLACE THE INSULATION AS NECESSARY. ONCE YOU DOUBLE CHECK YOUR COLOR MATCHING AND ARE ABSOLUTELY SURE THAT THE WIRES ARE FULLY INSERTED INTO THE SPLICE CONNECTORS DO THE FOLLOWING: 11 ) SQUEEZE THE SPLICE CONNECTORS FIRMLY WITH PLIERS. VISUALLY INSPECT YOUR CONNECTIONS TO SEE THAT THEY HAVE BEEN SPLICED PROPERLY INSIDE. 12 ) RUN THE GREEN AND BROWN WIRES THROUGH THE HOLE YOU OPENED UP IN STEP 9

1. Cover gas tank and front fender with towels to avoid damage during installation. 2. Install the two mounting plates onto the windshield, using the bottom and third bolt up. Leave the nylon washers off. The small tab goes to the bottom, big one at the top. (see Figure 1) Tabs face out away from the headlight when installed correctly. 3. Remove the headlight lens and chrome Turn Signal Bar cover and set them in a safe place. (see figure 2) 4. Remove the (3) socket head cap screws that hold the Headlight housing and let it rest carefully so that it does not fall. 5. Remove the turn signal bar by extracting the two socket head cap screws and let it dangle. (see figure 2) 6. Loosely install the throttle-side Bracket and Headlight using one of the (3) new longer 6mm x 30mm socket head cap screws. The nylon washer goes in between Headlight Housing and Headlight Bracket. (see figure 3) Install one of the (2) new 8mm x 45mm SS flat head screw and spacer in the lower hole to mount the turn signal bar. Insert the bolt in this order: bolt – windshield bracket – spacer – turn signal bar, and loosely tighten . (see Figure 3) Repeat these steps for the Clutch side. (See figure 4 for optional Cobra Light Bar installation, or to move Turn Signals forward to mount Lowers closer to the windshield.) 7. Once both windshield brackets are in place and all the new bolts are in place, Tighten all bolts. Re-install the chrome Turn Signal Bar cover. (Leave the chrome cover off if you use the alternate installation for Light Bar or Lowers). Re-Install the Headlight lens. 8. Loosen the (4) anchor bolts on the side of the windshield brackets. Slip the windshield mounting plates onto the brackets starting with the upper slot first then slip the bottom slot in. Adjust height, angle and tighten all bolts. This is a quick change kit. ALWAYS tighten all mounting bolts after removing or installing the windshield

PERIODIC MAINTENANCE AND MINOR REPAIR -. 1. Screw (x 2) EAU03003 Replacing the headlight bulb This motorcycle is equipped with a quartz bulb headlight. If the headlight bulb burns out, replace it as follows. 1. Remove the headlight unit by re- moving the screws. 2. Disconnect the headlight coupler, and then remove the headlight unit and bulb cover. 1. Headlight bulb holder 3. Remove the headlight bulb holder by turning it counterclockwise, and then remove the defective bulb. EWOOOl19 Headlight bulbs get very hot. Therefore, keep flammable products away from a lit headlight bulb, and do not touch the bulb until it has cooled down. 4. Place a new bulb into position, and then secure it with the bulb holder. 1. Do not touch this area. EC000105 Do not touch the glass part of the headlight bulb to keep it free from oil, otherwise the transparency of the glass, the luminosity of the bulb, and the bulb life will be adversely affected. Thoroughly clean off any dirt and fingerprints on the headlight bulb using a cloth moistened with alcohol or thinner. 5. Install the bulb cover, and then connect the coupler. 6. Install the headlight unit by install- ing the screws. 7. Have a Yamaha dealer adjust the headlight beam if necessary. 6-40 PERIODIC MAINTENANCE AND MINOR REPAIR 1. Screw (x 2) 1. Tail/brake light bulb (x 2) EAU00855 Replacing a turn signal light bulb or the tail/brake light bulb 3. Insert a new bulb into the socket, push it in, and then turn it clock- wise until it stops. 1. Do not re-use sprocket mounting screws. Re-using sprocket mounting screws can result in torque loss and damage to the sprocket and/or belt assembly. (00480b) 2. Install the tube and tire on wheel. 1) Turn on the ignition to supply power to the SWI-3. 2) Use a pen to depress the “program mode” button. Remove pen when left LED light comes on. 3) Within 10 seconds press and hold one of the steering wheel function buttons. Continue to hold steering wheel button until the left LED turns off. Release the steering wheel button and the right LED turns on. 4) Place the stereo’s IR remote within 3″ of the “IR Input” port on the side of the SWI-3 next to the program button. Press and hold the remote’s button that corresponds to the steering wheel button that was pressed. Continue to hold the remote’s button until the right LED turns off. Release the button and the left LED will turn on. 5) Repeat steps 3 and 4 until all radio steering wheel functions are programmed. 6) When programming is complete, wait 10 seconds and both LED’s will flash 3 times. This indicates an automatic program exit. Do not stop more than 10 seconds while programming or there will be an automatic program exit and you will have to start over at step number 2 above. Turning off ignition before the automatic exit will require starting over at step 2 above. The SWI-3 can be reprogrammed unlimited times. Testing • Test the SWI-3 by holding it’s infrared LED (LED on the end of 4′ lead) close to the stereo and verify that it works properly. Experiment with various locations for the LED. You should be able to find a hidden and convenient mounting location. Try along the top front and /or bottom of the stereo as well as it’s sides. The LED can be replaced with most any IR LED, like Radio Shack’s # 276-143. The longest lead of the LED connects to the red wire of the 4′ cable and the short lead of the LED connects to the black wire of the 4′ cable

The transceiver is pre-charged at the factory and will operate out of the box but we recommend that it be charge for at least 10 hours when first operated to insure full life of battery. 1. Plug in provided charger into the transceiver. 2. While the transceiver is charging the red status LED will flash twice every two seconds. 3. When transceiver is fully charged no LED will flash. 4. Recharge the transceiver every day to maintain full function. Receiver Status LED Panel The status LED panel provides information about the status of the receiver, memory and the battery level. Receiver on / Memory Trigger Blue LED will flash Receiver on / Low Battery Red LED will flash. Receiver On White LED will flash Range LED Range LED indicates when the transceiver is still with in receiving range of the system. In Range Green LED will flash Out Of range Red LED will flash Operating the transceiver The following instruction assumes that the transceiver is with in range of the motorcycle. Arming Press the #1 button, the siren will chirp 3 times. The transceiver will chirp twice and the white status LED will continuously flash to confirm that the receiver is on. The range LED light will then flash green . System is armed.
