WO-UP SEAT INSTALLATION Currently Installed Seat Removal NOTE When performing the following procedures, avoid scratching painted surfaces (fender, tank, etc.) with tools or metal seat tabs. 1. Remove currently installed seat following the instructions in the Owner’s Manual. 2. If a two-up seat WAS installed: Proceed to Step 6, Grab Strap Installation . If a solo seat WAS installed: See Figure 1. Remove the Bar & Shield hole plug (11) from the rear seat mounting hole (1)Seat mounting hole, rear 2. Fender hole, center 3. Seat mounting hole, front 4. Grab strap mounting hole 5. Wire routing hole (reference) 6. Fender hole, front (reference) 7. Hardware location for two-up seat 8. Hardware location for solo seat 9. Seat retention nut 10. At the front seat mounting hole (3), remove the retention washer (10) from the seat retention nut (9). From the underside of the fender, remove the seat retention nut from the vehicle. Insert the Bar & Shield hole plug into the front seat mounting hole. 4. See Figure 2. Obtain the cable strap (3) from the kit. a. Place the retention nut (1) over the cable strap (3) so that the wide end of the nut rests on the eye of the cable strap. b. Thread the cable strap up under the fender and through the rearmost seat mounting hole. c. Pull up on the cable strap to hold the nut snug against the underside of the fender. d. With the rib on the retention nut seated into the notch in the fender hole, slide the retention washer (2) into place from the rear (this will lock the retention nut in place), then remove the cable strap. 3 2 1 is01955 1. If a two-up seat WAS installed: Remove the existing grab strap and all attaching hardware, then proceed to Step 6. If a solo seat WAS installed: Proceed to Step 6. 6. See Figure 5. Obtain the new grab strap (8), hex head screw (9), plastic retention nut (10), washer (11) and hex nut (12) from the kit. 7. From the underside of the fender, insert the screw up through the grab strap mounting hole and secure with the plastic retention nut.

1. Refer to the service manual and follow the instructions given to remove the main fuse. 2. Remove the outer fairing and windshield. Refer to the service manual. is05900 Figure 1. Road Tech Zumo Drilling Template Placement 3. See Figure 1. Obtain the drilling template from the kit. 4. Position the template on the back side of the inner fairing, in the upper left corner above the fuel gauge, aligning the template to the top of the inner fairing and the plastic rib as shown. 5. Drill a 5/16 inch (8 mm) diameter hole through the inner fairing per the template. 6. See Figure 4. Position the gasket (2) and GPS mount (1) onto the face of the inner fairing, aligning the upper hole in the mount with the hole drilled in the previous step. 7. Temporarily install one of the screws (4) through the upper hole to help align the GPS mount. 8. See Figure 2. Mark the location of the lower mounting hole on the face of the inner fairing, using the GPS mount and gasket as a template. Mark the location of the wire routing hole using the guide hole (3) in the gasket as a template. 9. Remove the screw, GPS mount and gasket from the inner fairing. 10. Drill a 5/16 inch (8 mm) diameter hole through the inner fairing in the lower mounting location. Install the GPS mount and gasket to the inner fairing with screws (4) flat washers (5) and locknuts (6). Tighten to 50-60 in-lbs (5.6-6.8 Nm) 13. Obtain cradle with harness from GPS system kit. NOTE The fuse holder on the harness must be opened to fit through the hole. 14. Insert harness through the 11/16 inch (17 mm) diameter hole drilled earlier. 15. Insert the split grommet into the 11/16 inch (17 mm) diameter hole around the harness. Installing the Cradle 1. See Figure 4. Install four bushings (H) from the GPS system kit and insert them into the back of the cradle mounting holes. 2. Position the cradle to the GPS mount. Direct the harness out through the slot (G) of the mount. 3. Insert a button head screw (3) through one of the holes in the cradle and into the corresponding hole in the GPS mount, but do not fully tighten

Remove the fairing lower from the engine guard using the procedure provided in your Harley-Davidson user/service manual. Do not remove the glove box from the fairing. Vent Placement, Hole Drilling and Cut-Out: Caution: Place cloth or cushion underneath fairing lower to protect it from getting scratched during the following procedures. LV-2,3,4 Installation Copyright 2003-2004 2 3. Working inside the fairing and using the bottom of the glove box as a guide, position a closed vent parallel to and no more than 1/16″ from the rear edge of the fairing. Position the assembly so that the vent side tabs are no more than 1/8″ below the bottom of the glove box. (You want the vent assembly as close as possible to the glove box but with enough room so that the side tabs do not touch the glove box when the vent is closed! ) Mark the back two holes with a pencil then remove the vent and replace it with the cutting template in the exact same location. See photo to the right to assist in judging the cutting template orientation. 4. Lift out the glove box, steady the template with one hand and using an 11/64″ drill bit carefully drill 1 hole near the back edge of the fairing through the bottom corner hole of the cutting template. Install one screw and nut and tighten slightly to stabilize the template’s location. On the other corner (same edge) , drill the second hole. (You cannot drill the remaining holes from inside the fairing because the front edge of the fairing lower is in the way. ) 5. Remove the screw and nut and re-position the cutting template on the outside of the fairing with the three hole side of the template towards the front of the fairing (away from the edge of the fairing) . Install two screws and nuts into the open holes. Drill the remaining two corner holes and install two screws and nuts. Change drill bit size to 1/8″ to drill the final center latch hole. Next skip down to one of the two following procedures to make the vent opening using either A) Dremel tool/RotoZip router or B) coping saw/frameless hacksaw

Remove the light bulbs from the tail light housing by depressing the tab on the bulb socket assembly and turning counter clockwise. Remove the bulb from the bulb socket. 2. Remove the lenses from the warp-around light fixture. These lens are held in place by a non-hardening black sealant. In addition, there are three plastic alignment tabs on the lens body that clip into the lens frame. To remove the lens, insert the supplied push Stick through the hole in the back of the light bulb housing and gently but firmly push the lens outward. This action places a stress on the alignment tabs. 3 . Using a flat blade screw driver, pry the lens away from the frame at the top, side, and bottom to release the lens alignment tabs. Go back to step 2, and use the plastic tube to push the lens outward. It may be necessary to repeat the prying process and pushing process several times to remove the lens. Note: Some users have found it useful to heat the lens area with a hair dryer to soften the adhesive. Included in this kit are: Left and Right LED modules, 1 RTQC Quick Connect Accessory Cable , 2 RTV application sticks, 1 push stick, Approximately 3 inches of shrink tube, and 1 copy of instructions. Required for installation, but not included are: A tube of Permatex RTV (available at Wal-Mart), 1/8 inch drill bit, a drill, small flat blade screwdriver, other hand tools. Window/ body sealer if required to reseat lenses can be obtained at your local glass shop. Tour Pak, Harley Davidson, Electraglide, Raod King, and Ultraglide are registered trade marks of Harley David- son. Harley Davidson does not make or endorse the use of these lights. 4. When the lens begins to emerge from the frame, grasp it at the top and bottom and pull the lens from the housing using a up and down motion. Set the lens aside . Avoid having the sealant contact other surfaces. In most cases, the lens can be reinstalled without adding additional sealant . Note: Do not use RTV to reset the lens. If sealant is needed obtain a non-hardening body/windshield sealant from your local glass shop. 6. When you are comfortable with the location of the circuit board, drill a 1/8 inch hole in the back of the light housing. This hole will be used to bring the turn signal wire from the LED module into the Tour Pak. 7. Using the supplied stick, spread a thin layer of Permatex clear RTV silicone seal along the area where the circuit board will be located. Apply a similar layer to the top of the light housing. Route the turn signal wire through the 1/8″ hole and position the circuit board in the housing. Allow the RTV to cure. 5. Test fit the LED light board in the light housing.

Step 1: Switch main dashboard switch to “off” position (Ignition& light switch) Step 2: Disconnect negative (ground) cable from the Battery Step 3: Remove the Condenser and Breaker points from the circuit breaker timing base. Step 4: Disconnect advance/ retard cable from timing base Step 5: Remove timing base from timer shaft and housing (see your manual for instructions) Step 6: Remove circuit breaker wire stud or circuit breaker to coil wire assembly from timing base Step 7: Remove circuit breaker wire from Ignition coil, and mark terminal on coil with piece of tape. Step 8: Install the Electronic Ignition Module on the timing base. Mount this short black wire to one on the timer base screws by keeping some slack in this wire so the timing base can turn free. Solder the flag terminal to this short black wire and mount it under the timer to motor bolt. This way of mounting provides a much better grounding. Do NOT use the screws (number 1 or 2 screws from picture below) from the timing base!!!! Step 9: Now three wires pass this hole via the rubber grommet. Figure 1 Figure 2 Step 10: Reinstall the timer base on the timer shaft housing, and keep some slack in the wires before protruding the hole in the timer shaft housing, and secure with ground spring and cover retainer. Reconnect the advance/retard cable to the timer base. Step 11: Route the two long wires to the ignition coil. Check in the HD service manual for a proper route to the ignition coil. (Keep away from hot surfaces like exhaust systems). Cut the wires to the exact length necessary for mounting. Step 12: Determine the exact length of the wire loom. Keep in mind that one end of the loom enters the timer shaft housing by 1cm. Cut the loom to the proper length. Step 13: Insert both wires in the loom. Strip both wire ends and solder the two flag terminals on the wires. Step 14: Connect the red wire to the ignition coil, on the terminal where the 6 or 12 volt is supplied to. This terminal has at minimum one wire connected which runs to the main switch. Step 15: Connect the black wire to the ignition coil on the terminal which is empty, and has piece of tape on it. (Old place where the circuit breaker wire was connected to) Step 16: Install the trigger rotor on the timer shaft cam, and tighten the hex screw by using the hex key tool. Do not over tighten the screw! Step 17: Check for clearance between trigger rotor and Electronic Ignition Module. Appropriate clearance is between 0,5mm and 1,5mm . Minor adjustments can be made by unlocking the two screws and slightly shift/move the Electronic Ignition Module. Check if the rotor moves free. Timing instructions: Remove the spark plugs from the engine, but keep them connected to the spark coil cables and engine ground. This enables normal operation of the spark, and prevents unwanted engine firing on compression stroke. See service manual or handbook for timing instructions of your model Step 18: Reconnect the negative (ground) cable to the battery. Step 19: Switch main power to “on” position. The red light in the Electronic Ignition Module might already light up. If not, turn the kick starter slowly. The red light is on while charging (closed points)the Ignition coil, facing solid metal of the trigger rotor. The light goes off (open points) when the end of the solid surface of the trigger rotor passes the centre of the Electronic Ignition Module. At that point a spark is generated by the coil

The sensors can be removed from the exhaust if you have a way to plug the hole. Unplugging the sensors does NOT cause an engine light but will cause a historic code in the ECM for non-active O2 sensor. This is not causing any issues with the running of the bike. FIG.D Follow these instructions when using the Auto tune kit – part #AT-100B 1 Remove the left hand side cover. 2 Place the Autotune modules in front of the battery as shown in Figure H. If using velcro make sure the velcro does not cover the designation of the unit on the back (AT #1 or AT#2). The modules are coded to the front and rear cylinders. FIG.E 3 Remove the rubber plug for the diagnostic connector. Plug the lead from the Autotune kit into the stock diagnostic connector (Fig. J).This connection is under the LH sidecover. DO NOT connect to the accessory connection in front of the battery. 4 Reinstall the sidecover. Route the harness along the front down tube and along the backbone of the frame to Autotune module AT#1. Wire the harness to the module per Figure G. The harness can be cut to length if desired. 6 Repeat step 4 for the rear cylinder. Wire the harness to Autotune Module AT#2. The harness can be cut to length if desired. If your exhaust does not accept the M18x1.5mm O2 sensor you will need to install the supplied O2 bungs with the Auto tune kit into your exhaust. See Auto tune instructions for more information

1 2 is 00911 1. Tongue 2. Keyhole Figure 2. Underside of 2-up seat INSTALLATION NOTE If installing the seat with a sissybar/backrest pad present, remove the backrest pad prior to seat installation. This will prevent damage to the pad and/or seat. Reinstall backrest pad after the seat is installed. 1. Models equipped with solo seats: See Figure 1. a. Remove the plastic plug (1) from the rear hole location in the fender (2). Save the plastic plug for installation. b. Move the seat retention nut (4) and lockwasher (5) from the middle location to the rear location, where the plug was just removed. As shown in the inset, a cable strap (6) can be used as an installation aid. Place the retention nut (5) over the cable strap so that the wide end of the nut rests on the eye of the cable strap. Thread the cable strap up under the fender, and through the fender hole. Pull up on the cable strap to hold the nut snug against the underside of the fender. c. With the rib of the retention nut (4) seated into the notch in the fender hole, slide the retension washer (5) into place from the rear. This will lock the retention nut in place. d. Reinstall the plastic plug in the fender hole in the middle location. NOTE The foam cushioning of the seat needs to be compressed as the seat is slid forward to engage the post on the frame when the seat is dropped into place. When properly installed, the front tongue on the underside of the seat should fit snugly in the groove at the fuel tank rear mounting location and the keyhole on the underside of the seat will lock the seat to the post on the frame. 2. All models: See Figure 2. a. Angle the front of the new seat into place so the tongue (1) engages the slot at the rear fuel tank mounting location. b. Push the seat forward and rotate the rear of the seat downward until the seat contacts the frame. Flex the seat slightly in the middle and slide the seat towards the rear so that the keyhole slot (2) on the seat bottom engages with the center seat post on the frame. 3. See Figure 3. Pull up on the center of the seat to verify that it is locked into place. (There will be a small amount of play, but the seat should only come up about a half an inch and then will be held firmly in place by the post on the underside of the seat.) If the seat is not firmly in place, repeat Step 2 until the seat is firmly in place. Reference the Owners Manual for further instruction on seat placement if needed
