SERVICE INFORMATION GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS Remove the motorcycle frame covers before removing the front wheel. Jack the motorcycle front wheel off the ground and be careful to prevent the motorcycle from falling down. During servicing, keep oil or grease off the brake drum and brake linings. Contaminated brake disk or brake pads reduce stopping power. Clean the contaminated brake disk with high-performance brake degreaser and replace the brake pads. Do not use brake fluid for cleaning. Bleed air from the brake system if the brake system is removed or the brake is soft. Do not allow any foreign matters to enter the brake system when filling it with brake fluid. Brake fluid will damage painted surfaces and plastic parts. When servicing the brake system, use shop towels to cover and protect rubber, plastic parts and coated surfaces. Wipe off any spilled brake fluid with a clean shop towel. Inspect the brake system before riding. FUEL DANGER Fuel used to drive internal combustion engines is highly inflammable and may become explosive under certain conditions. It is best to refuel and carry out maintenance in well ventilated places with the engine switched off. Do not smoke during refuelling or near fuel fumes. Avoid all contact with naked flames, sparks, or any other source that may cause ignition or explosion. Also avoid allowing the fuel to spill out of the filler cap as it could catch fire on contact with the very hot surfaces on the engine. Should fuel be spilled accidentally check that the area is completely dry before starting up the vehicle. The fuel expands when subjected to heat or the sun’s rays. The fuel tank should therefore never be filled to the brim. Close the filler cap carefully on completing refuelling. Avoid the fuel coming into contact with your skin, inhaling vapours, ingestion and siphoning from one container to another using a hose. DO NOT DISPOSE OF THE FUEL INTO THE ENVIRONMENT. KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN. Only use super lead-free petrol, with a minimum octane rating of 95 (N.O.R.M.) and 85 (N.O.M.M.). LUBRICANTS DANGER Adequate lubrication of the vehicle is essential to guarantee the safety of the vehicle. Failure to keep lubricants at sufficiently high levels or the use of inadequate, new and clean lubricants may cause the engine or gearbox to seize, resulting in accidents, serious injury or death. Gearbox oil may cause serious harm to your skin if handled for long periods of time and on a daily ba- sis. We recommend washing your hands carefully after having handled this oil. Do not dispose of the oil into the environment. Deliver this oil to the nearest collection company for spent oil or the supplier, or have them collect it. WARNING When putting oil into the vehicle be very careful not to spill any. Immediately clean off any spilt oil, otherwise it may damage the paintwork on the vehicle. In addition, any oil that ends up on the tyres will make them extremely slippery, creating a dangerous situation. If an oil leak should arise, do not use the vehicle. Check and identify the cause of the leak and repair the component involved. ENGINE OIL DANGER Engine oil may cause serious harm to your skin if handled for long periods of time and on a daily ba- sis. We recommend washing your hands carefully after having handled this oil. Do not dispose of the oil into the environment. Deliver this oil to the nearest collection company for spent oil or the supplier, or have them collect it. When carrying out maintenance we recommend wearing latex gloves. FORK OIL DANGER Adjusting the setting on the shock absorbers and/or the viscosity of the oil used in them may partially change the reaction of the suspension. Standard oil viscosity: SAE 20 W. The viscosity grade may be chosen in relation to the type of set-up you want on the vehicle (SAE 5W soft, 20W rigid). These two products may be used in varying percentages in order to obtain the required reaction

Engine Oil Replacement • Replace the engine oil after the first 50 miles or 1 hour with 5w50, 10w50 or 15W50 synthetic engine oil. Then replace again every 1,500 miles or 1 each year. Check oil level every 500 miles, add oil if needed. Changing the Engine Oil (1).Warm up the engine for a few minutes. (2).Stop the engine. (3). Place scooter on center stand. (4).Place an oil pan under the engine and remove the dipstick. (5).Remove the drain plug and drain the oil. Reach in drain hole, pull out filter clean and reinstall, after all oil drains out. (6).Reinstall drain plug. (7). Fill the engine with oil until the level is in the designated area on the dipstick. (8).Start the engine and check for oil leaks. If a leak is found stop the engine immediately and look for cause. Rear Wheel Oil Replacement • Replace the gear oil after the first 500 miles with 5W/50 synthetic engine oil. Replace the gear oil again every 4 months or every 2000 miles. • Replacing the Gear Oil (1).Put the scooter on the center stand (please see photo below) . (2).Place an oil pan under the gear case (please see photo below) . (3).Remove the oil filler bolt and the drain plug to drain the oil (please see photo below) . (4).Reinstall and tighten the drain plug. (5).Fill the gear case with oil (please see photo below) . (6).Reinstall the oil filler bolt. (7).Check for oil leakage. Cleaning Air Cleaner Be sure to check the air cleaner regularly. (1).Place the scooter on the center stand. (2).Unscrew and remove the left side panel. (3).Remove the air cleaner cover by removing the screws. (4).Take out the air cleaner by removing the screws. (5).Remove the air cleaner element and wash it gently, but thoroughly in solvent. Replace if damaged. (6).Squeeze out the excess solvent and dry it. (7).Apply oil to the entire surface of the air cleaner and squeeze out the excess oil. It should be damp but not dripping. Turn off ignition and remove negative battery connection. 2. Loosen the hose clamp on the OEM intake. 3. Disconnect the MAF sensor off intake 4. Pull out air temp sensor and then pull out intake unit. 5. Install NPT hose barbs in the cold air intake with the 1/4″ in the center position. 9.Connect the hoses to the S&B intake tube 6. Put the 4.5x2hose adapter with #72 hose clamps on the S&B tube . 10. Install the S&B intake on the throttle body, push the air temp sensor into the tube 7. Locate the three vacuum hoses 11. Remove the air box grommets and use the 1/4″-20″ speed nuts 8. Place the small sections of 5/8″ hose on the vacuum hoses. 12. Install the hose adapter onto the MAF sensor assembly
