The actuator spool is installed in the CIU housing with the actuator cable. The actuator spool is rotated to fully extend the cable. 2nd step. The dual spool and carburettor cable are installed. The carburettor cable is attached to the lower groove in the dual spool. The other end of the carburettor cable is attached to the carburettors. Note the position of the roll pin. It is nearly contacting the end of the groove in the actuator spool. The free play in the carburettor cable must be adjusted so that the cable outer can be pulled out 2 ~ 3mm before the carburettors start to open. This ensures that the cruise control cannot prevent the carburettors returning to idle. If more free play is allowed the response of the cruise control is compromised. This adjustment of free play is usually performed after final assembly of the CIU is completed and the CIU is in its final location. This is because flexing the cable affects the free play. It is shown at this stage in these diagrams to improve clarity. After this adjustment is performed, the carburettor cable adjustment MUST NOT BE MOVED. All future adjustments of free play in the throttle must be performed on the throttle cable from the throttle grip. If incorrect free play in the carburettor cable is suspected due to inconsistent cruise operation or because of inconsistent idle speed, the adjusters on the throttle cable from the hand grip must be backed all the way off to give as much free play as possible. If this does not result in AT LEAST 5mm of free play in the throttle cable, the throttle cable must be removed from the hand grip or CIU before adjustment of the carburettor cable is attempted. This is crucial because the amount of free play in the throttle cable also affects the apparent free play in the carburettor cable

1. Locate the stock flasher unit on your motorcycle and remove it. Refer to your motorcycle’s shop manual. 2. Using either the test light or voltmeter, connect or touch one lead to the chassis or ground. Turn on the ignition switch. 3. Then touch the probe of either the test-light or the other lead of the voltmeter to one of wires or contacts where the flasher was removed from. If using the test-light, the light will light up when the supply line has been located. If using the voltmeter, the meter will indicate a voltage value, if present. Important Notice: Verify which grounding type your motorcycle is using before performing one of the following procedures. This can simply be done by seeing which terminal of the battery is connected to the motorcycle’s chassis or frame. Figure 3 • Positive Earth: Connect the black wire (-V) into the contact that indicated power was present. Plug the white wire (O/P) into the other contact, which did not have any power present. Turn off the ignition switch. Cut off the connector on the red wire w/ fuse holder (+V); strip the insulation back about ¼” (6 mm) and install the ring terminal on the wire, then ground the ring terminal to a chassis bolt or screw. If ground is not available via the chassis, then connect to an earth (ground) wire from the wiring harness. • Negative Ground: Connect red wire w/ fuse holder (+V) into the contact that indicated power was present. Plug the white wire (O/P) into the other contact, which did not have any power present. Turn off the ignition switch. Cut off the connector on the black wire (-V); strip the insulation back about ¼” (6 mm) and install the ring terminal on the wire, then ground the ring terminal to a chassis bolt or screw. If ground is not available via the chassis, then connect to a ground wire from the wiring harness

Setup operations include 12/24hour clock, bar tachometer scale, shift warning RPM, numbers of engine rotation per signal, wheel circumference, units, odometer adjustment, units of temperature, temperature warning and fuel meter input resistance selection. These must be set up step by step. The computer will automatic reversion to main screen if no button operation for 75 seconds at any setting screen. 2. Press both MODE & RESET buttons to go into setting screen. Operates buttons as descriptions of item 2 to finish clock and jump to 8,000/16,000rpm scale setting. 4. It displays 8,000rpm scale, presess RESET button to convert 8,000 or 16,000rpm. Press MODE button to confirm the setting and jump to shift RPM warning setting. 5. It displays ” RPM rXXX00 “. Follow the item 2 of button operation to finish the shift RPM warning setting and jump to engine specification setting. 6. It displays “SPC-X.X RPM”, the default value is 1.0; there are 4 options: 1.0, 2.0, 3.0 and 0.5. It means the numbers of engine rotation per signal. For example the value 2.0 means the engine rotate 2 turns to output a signal. 7. Press RESET button to move in loop sequence from one to another value of the 4 values. Press MODE button to confirm the setting and go to wheel circumference setting screen. 8. In “cXXXX” display, “c” means “Circumference”, following 4 default digits; flashing digit is digit to be set. Follow the item 2 of button operation to finish the wheel circumference setting and jump to unit setting. 9. It displays KM/h or MPH, each press of RESET button converts unit; press MODE button to confirm unit setting and jump to odometer setting. 10. It displays “ODO & 00000Xkm”, the “X” is tested odometer in factory, follow item 2 to setting a desired odometer and jump to thermometer unit setting. The setting screen will disappear when the odometer is over 30km or your setting is over 30km and returned to main screen. 11. It displaysm ” , or oFF”, each press of RESET button converts , or oFF; press MODE button to confirm temperature setting and jump to temperature warning setting. 12. It displays ” XXX” and the selected unit. Follow the item 2 of button operation to finish the temperature warning setting and go to fuel sensor input resistance setting. 13. It displays “100r and fuel tank symbol”, follow the item 2 to select 100, 250, 510 Ohm or oFF and return to the main screen. The fuel meter bar will disappear if you select oFF mode.

1. Remove the seat, fuel tank, side panels, muffler, and headers. 2. Disconnect the stator wires from their corresponding mates underneath the seat (trace the wires up from the left side case.) Un-route the stator wiring so it hangs free from the left side case. 3. Remove the stock shift lever and the left side engine case cover. You do not need to drain the oil from the engine. 4. Unbolt and remove the stator and wiring from the stock cover. Do not cut any wires. 5. The stock pulsar coil (small black box hanging from the stator) will have to be modified slightly to clear the ring gear before installation into the new cover. Remove (file or grind) about .030 inches of material from the base of the pulsar coil so that the base is flush with the face of the rest of the coil as shown in Photos 1 and 2. File Here Photo 2 Make flush with this surface Remove material here Photo 1 6. Install the stator and modified pulsar coil into the new engine case cover as shown in Photo 3. Use the three provided Phillips head bolts, split lock-washers, and plastic cable clamps to secure the wiring as shown. You will need to pull about ½” of extra wire through the grommet (Photo 4) to give you enough wire length for the grommet to sit in its case cutout. To do this, remove the electrical tape from the end of the stator wires and pull each wire individually through the grommet. Remove the stock flywheel nut (An air impact tool works best to remove this nut without turning the motor). Remove the flywheel using the flywheel puller provided. 8. Scribe a line in the edge of the flywheel in line with the T mark as shown in Photo 7

INSTALLATION 2.1 Initial Setup After receiving the TVS, remove the packaging materials. Remove the wooden skid secured to the base of the unit and inspect all parts for damage. If any parts are damaged contact shipping company to file claim for damaged equipment. Select a location for the unit where adequate service clearance is provided for replacing the media in the unit. The media is removable from either the top, or the 150 mm port located on the side of the unit. Ample clearance (about 0.5 meters) should also be provided for space for media removal by vacuum. (This may be provided by others). 2.2 Electrical Connections (Optional) An electrical wiring diagram may be necessary and included with these instructions. 230/460 volt, 3 phase systems require a motor starter and disconnect. Refer to the wiring diagram for proper wiring connections. Check for proper motor rotation before operating the unit. All external wiring must be in accordance with National and Local Electrical Codes. Pay particular attention to proper grounding of the unit. 2.3 Media Bed Fill the Tank Vent Scrubber as follows: NOTE: Gloves and a dust mask should be worn when handling media. See MSDS sheet for proper handling requirements. 2.3.1 Remove the cover by loosening the bolts on top of the unit. 2.3.2 Inspect the interior of the tank to be certain it is empty. 2.3.3 Close and secure vacuum discharge port. 2.3.4 Select the correct media type and load the tank to a depth of 610 mm. 2.3.5 Replace the cover by securing the bolts on top of the unit. After 48 to 72 hours of operation, open cover and check media level for settlement. Media level must be 152 mm below lip of tank to reach proper fill requirement. Add media as required
