INSTALLATION Do not operate vehicle with brake disc lock in place. Operation with lock on disc will restrict movement of the wheel, which could result in death or serious injury. (00457b) NOTE Insert key all the way to the bottom of the cylinder. Turn key clockwise 180 degrees to the open position. DO NOT FORCE KEY! Key should turn freely. If key does not freely rotate, try turning key slightly left and right while inserting to align disks inside cylinder. Failure to insert key all the way to the bottom of cylinder could cause key to jam. For Models with Hydraulic Fork Front Ends 1. See Figure 1. Slide lock (1) over front brake disc as close to rearward edge of brake caliper (2) as possible. Push button completely down to lock. 3. INSTALLATION To prevent accidental vehicle start-up, which could cause death or serious injury, remove main fuse before proceeding. (00251b) 1. Refer to the Service Manual and follow the instructions given to remove the main fuse. When servicing the fuel system, do not smoke or allow open flame or sparks in the vicinity. Gasoline is extremely flammable and highly explosive, which could result in death or serious injury. (00330a) 2. Remove the currently installed fuel tank from the vehicle. Follow the instructions for the correct model vehicle under FUEL TANK: EFI, REMOVAL in the Service Manual. 3. See FUEL PUMP/FUEL GAUGE SENDING UNIT, REMOVAL in the Service Manual for instructions to: a. Unplug the fuel pump module connector. b. Remove and discard the top plate screws. c. Remove the top plate, fuel pump and fuel level sender (fuel gauge sending unit) from the tank. NOTE Take care to avoid bending the fuel level sender float rod. Clean the electrical grounding tab (2) on the back of the fuel level sender if necessary. The tab must make firm contact with the terminal strip insert (6) in the adapter bracket. Slide the original equipment (O.E.) fuel level sender (1) into the slots (5) in the new adapter bracket (4) as shown until the lock tabs (3 and 7) snap into place. Make sure the wire is not pinched between the adapter and sender. 5. See FUEL SUPPLY CHECK VALVE/TUBE in the Service Manual. Remove the check valve/quick-connect fitting assembly from the old fuel tank, and assemble to the new tank, using a new O-ring (purchased separately). 6. Fit the slider (8) on the adapter bracket into the fuel level sender mounting channel inside the tank, and push down until the lock tab (9) snaps into place. Make sure the sender and adapter wires are not pinched between the adapter and the fuel tank tunnel, and remain accessible through the fuel tank top opening. 7. See Figure 2. Obtain the assembly of the top plate (1), regulator (2) and fuel filter (3) removed from the old fuel tank, and the stainless steel screw (8) and nut (9) provided in this kit.

1. Lower Spare Tire. (a) Lower spare tire using hooked jack handle supplied in the vehicle tool kit. 2. Install Spare Tire Lock. (a) Install the spare tire lock assembly on the lowering screw by lining up the cross pin in the lock with the slot in the lowering screw. (b) Tap lock in place with a rubber mallet until it is fully seated. (Pull on lock to ensure attachment.) (c) Install adapter shroud (protects cable and spring) using slotted washer. Carefully remove the tail section body work. Save all bolts, washers and plastic rivets for re-installation of tail. Disconnect and remove the brake light (with all mounting grommets and washers), license plate and turn signals, key lock (with clip) and move all wiring out of the cutting areas. Remove the two bolts at the rear end of the stock fender (inside glove box) to allow the end to hang down for cutting Using a “Dremel” tool or cutting disc (this can also be done using a sharp edged knife, but is not recommended), remove the plastic shown in the photos to the above and below. Your subframe may be different but the cutting position is the same on all years. Be sure to take your time cutting, so that you don’t cut away any more plastic than necessary Replace all bodywork with fasteners loosely installed, mount undertail,
notice at bottom of the tray there are 2 holes, mark and remove tray, then drill holes in battery box 6) Inset lock into undertail using stock lock mounting clip, make sure the lock is in the correct position with the lock cable arm to function
properly. Insert undertail left side first, then right side, be carefull not to crack or scratch undertail. Use your stock plastic screw rivets to hold undertail in place. Attach lock cable to lock, check movement, adjust if necessary. Tighten all hardware on tail section, attach seat. * After this modification your undertail is not returnable. Paint is not war-
rantied against paint chips, flaking or scratches from installation or rocks being thrown from tire into the tray.
6) *Install license plate brackets to back side of license plate as shown. Now hold license plate in desired location on undertail, carefully mark and drill holes, install using the two (2) sets of allen bolts and lock nuts

1. PRELIMINARY: 1.1 Remove the six 6 mm. screws and plastic skid / splash shield from the bottom front of the vehicle frame. (These bolts and plastic skid / splash shield will not be reused snow plow mounting frame installed onto the vehicle.) 1.2 If the vehicle has the Kawasaki optional brush guard installed, it will have to be removed and then reinstalled after the snow plow mounting frame is installed. (The brush guard will fit with the snow plow mounting frame installed first.) 2. VEHICLE MOUNTING FRAME 2.1 Position the vehicle mounting frame (13) under the front of the vehicle so that the six holes (with pipe spacers) line up with the six 6 mm. threaded holes that the plastic skid / splash shield was attached with and the upper plate is through the large oval hole in the vehicle plastic fascia. Fasten loosely using 6mm. x 1.0mm. x 30mm. bolts (33) , 6mm. lock washers (35) and 6mm. flat washers (34). 2.2 Place a 5/16″-18 “U” bolt (36) around the front cross tube behind the plastic fascia and through each set of holes in the flange of the upper plate of the vehicle mounting frame (total of two “U” bolts). Fasten loosely using 5/16″flat washers (41), 5/16″ lock washers (40), and 5/16″-18 nuts (42). 2.3 Install a 5/16″-18 “U” bolt (36) around the lower frame tubes and through each set of slotted holes in the lower plate of the vehicle mounting frame (total of four “U” bolts). Fasten loosely using 5/16″ flat washers (41), 5/16″ lock washers (40), and 5/16″-18 nuts (42). 2.4 Tighten all the fasteners holding the vehicle mounting frame to the vehicle starting with the 6mm. bolts

Note: Read instructions carefully before installing. 1. Start with right side. Remove (2) screws and washers from each manifold tube base. NOTE: Save this hardware it will be reused. 2. Remove (4) screws and washers that hold chrome wire guide to carbs. 3. Apply a small amount of grease to the No. 10 washers (4). This will help to hold them in place on installation. 4. Place the No. 10 washers over the threaded holes in the carb base. 5. Reinstall the OEM wire guide and carefully insert 20 mm screws and lock washers. NOTE: The screws DO NOT go through the tube on the manifold covers. 6. Sandwich the tabs on the manifold cover between the carb top and the wire guide. Finger tight the screws. NOTE: Route spark plug wires OVER THE TOP of the wire guide. 7. Lift bottom of manifold cover and insert aluminum washers removed in step 1. Put smooth of washers toward manifold. You may have to use small amount of grease on these washers also to position them. 8. Position manifold cover and reinstall (2) OEM screws removed in step 1 9. REPEAT STEPS FOR THE OTHER SIDE.
