GL1800 LED LIGHTED FRONT FENDER EAGLE Note: Read instruction thoroughly before installing. Drilling required. 1. Place bike on center stand. 2. Remove front fender. 3. Measure from the tip of the front fender towards the bike 3 inches and mark. 4. Center eagle on fender and mark fender for drill location under the eagle head. 5. Drill a 1/8″ hole. 6. Clean area. 7. Put the light wires through the hole and secure the wires to inside of fender so wires will not touch any moving parts. 8. Remove the tape covering from the light and press on firmly. 9. Replace fender. Attach the black wire to ground and red wire to a running light

1 Remove the stock seat. 2 Unplug the stock wiring harness from the ECM (Fig. A) . 3 Plug the PCV connectors in-line of the stock ECM and wiring harness (Fig.B). 4 Tuck the PCV to wiring harness connection into the opening in front of the battery box (Fig. C). 5 Using the supplied velcro attach the PCV to the top of the ECM (Fig. C) FIG.A FIG.C Remove Ground wire FIG.B PCV connector PCV connector Stk connector Connection 15-011 www.powercommander.com 2010 Harley Davidson Touring PCV – 4 6 Remove the right hand saddlebag and sidecover. 7 Locate the stock O2 sensor connections and unplug both connectors (Fig. D) The stock O2 sensors will NOT be connected to anything at this time. The sensors can be removed from the exhaust if you have a way to plug the hole. Unplugging the sensors does NOT cause an engine light but will cause a historic code in the ECM for non-active O2 sensor. This is not causing any issues with the running of the bike. FIG.D Follow these instructions when using the Auto tune kit – part #AT-100B 1 Remove the left hand side cover. 2 Place the Autotune modules in front of the battery as shown in Figure H. If using velcro make sure the velcro does not cover the designation of the unit on the back (AT #1 or AT#2). The modules are coded to the front and rear cylinders. FIG.E 3 Remove the rubber plug for the diagnostic connector. Plug the lead from the Autotune kit into the stock diagnostic connector (Fig. J).This connection is under the LH sidecover. DO NOT connect to the accessory connection in front of the battery. 4 Reinstall the sidecover. Route the harness along the front down tube and along the backbone of the frame to Autotune module AT#1. Wire the harness to the module per Figure G. The harness can be cut to length if desired. 6 Repeat step 4 for the rear cylinder. Wire the harness to Autotune Module AT#2. The harness can be cut to length if desired. If your exhaust does not accept the M18x1.5mm O2 sensor you will need to install the supplied O2 bungs with the Auto tune kit into your exhaust. See Auto tune instructions for more information

The first thing to do is remove the seat, fuel tank, and possibly the front fairing if equipped. You will need plenty of room to work. Electrical Connections – You will need to locate and test a few things on your bike before you start wiring. A good ground, an ignition switched 12 volt power source, the horns, and the ignition coils. We have plug n play style harnesses available for some bikes. Check the web site for specific models. Control Box Wiring Coils – Most four cylinder motorcycles use either a individual firing system or a waste spark system. Waste spark is by far the most common. All four cylinder bikes with only two coils use a waste spark system. Most late model four cylinder sport bikes use waste spark systems even though they have four individual coils. Bikes with a waste spark systems will need the 360 calibrated unit. The 360 calibrated Sport Bike Autoshifts are identified by the 360 engraved into the box below the wire lead exit. The P/N for these boxes has the 360 as a suffix. (P/N 1-0299-360) Some of the newest fuel injected bikes (Hayabusa, GSXR1000, ZX12) that have cam sync sensors are individual firing. These bikes will require 720 calibration and will have no outside identifiers and the P/N 1-0299. The Sport Bike Auto Shift has four brown wire leads that are connected to the negative of each individual coil on a four coil system. You will notice that the connector for the four brown wires has a molded in ridge that marks the brown wire that is used as the rpm sensor. This must be connected to the number one cylinder coil negative wire.

The example tested by Cycle World magazine in August 1968 looked identical to the European specification 750 except for higher handlebars, a 35/35 watt headlight, larger round CEV taillight, 120mph Smiths speedometer, and an American Eagle tank badge. The headlamp shell was also different, with an additional warning lamp, and the American Eagle headlight shell featured the large hole and rubber plug (with Laverda logo) as on some early 650s. When tested by Cycle magazine in January 1969 (now called the American Eagle ‘Classic’) there was a different colour scheme, with pinstriping on the fuel tank and sidecovers (although this colour scheme also appeared in some Italian advertising and official photos). Optional for the American Eagle was a large chrome-plated engine protection bar with chrome Vitaloni rear vision mirrors attached on each side. In McCormack’s advertising the bore and stroke of the American Eagle were listed as 79.5 x 76.2mm, and this was obviously incorrect as the engine specifications were the same as the European versions. REMOVAL NOTE For removal, refer to the appropriate sections of the applicable Service Manual for detailed information on the following generalized steps. To prevent accidental vehicle start-up, which could cause death or serious injury, remove main fuse before proceeding. (00251b) 1. Remove the Maxi® fuse. 2. Remove the cam cover and gasket. 3. Remove and discard the crank and primary cam sprocket flange bolts and washers. 4. Release the oil pump, and remove the cam support plate and cams. Disassemble the cams from the support plate and discard the support plate. 5. Inspect cams, chain, sprockets, oil pump, chain tensioners and guide for wear and replace as needed. Refer to the Service Manual for inspection and replacement proce- dures. -J04503 INSTALLATION NOTES For installation, refer to the appropriate sections of the applicable Service Manual for detailed information on the following generalized steps. See Figure 1. When installing Screamin’ Eagle camshaft kits, install the O-ring included in this kit over the splined shaft of the rear camshaft as shown. 1. Using the Camshaft Assembly Tool (HD-47956) and assemble the camshafts, chains and tensioners to the billet cam support plate. 2. Install the cam support plate assembly into the crankcase. 3. Using the Crankshaft/Camshaft Locking Tool (HD-47941), install cam sprockets, chain and tensioner. 4. Install cam cover and gasket. 5. Install Maxi fuse.

REMOVAL Prepare for Service 1. Position motorcycle on a suitable lift. NOTE If vehicle is equipped with Harley-Davidson Smart Security System, see owner’s manual for instructions to disarm the system. Disconnect battery cables, negative (-) battery cable first. 3. Remove seat according to the instructions in the service manual. 4. Refer to service manual to remove left saddlebag and side cover. When servicing the fuel system, do not smoke or allow open flame or sparks in the vicinity. Gasoline is extremely flammable and highly explosive, which could result in death or serious injury. (00330a) 5. Remove fuel tank according to the instructions in the service manual. Remove Engine Components 1. Remove existing air cleaner assembly. Discard backplate but save remaining parts. Refer to AIR CLEANER REMOVAL in service manual. 2. Remove existing exhaust system. Refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM REMOVAL in service manual. 3. Remove engine from chassis following the instructions in the service manual. 4. Disassemble engine top end and bottom end. Refer to appropriate ENGINE sections in service manual. 5. Remove existing clutch diaphragm spring. Refer to CLUTCH REMOVAL in service manual. The procedures in this instruction sheet should be performed by one experienced in precision measuring techniques. Cylinder Wall MACHINE CRANKCASE Crankcase Boring Preparation NOTE During final assembly of the engine, Harley-Davidson recommends replacing the OE cylinder studs with Screamin’ Eagle High Tensile Studs (16505-01). 1. Remove cylinder studs from the engine crankcase. 2. Mask off all bearings and oil holes to prevent debris and contaminants from entering those areas. 3. Inspect and clean engine case mating surfaces. 4. See Figure 6. Reassemble engine case with OE screws, except the top center screw between the cylinders, and tighten to specifications listed in service manual. NOTE To prevent damage to crankcase boring tool, it is important to replace the top center screw with a modified top center screw (1093). This screw is included in the Crankcase Boring Tool Kit (94419-06) and can be purchased separately from a Harley- Davidson dealer. 5. Install modified top center screw (1093) between the cylinders and tighten to 50-90 in-lbs (5.6-10.2 Nm). 6. See Figure 1 and Table 1. The 7l/l-GE, 7M-GTE engines are an in-line 6-cylinder engine with the cylinders numbered 1-2-3-4-5-6 from the front. The crankshaft is sup- ported by 7 bearings specified by the inside of the crankcase. These bearings are made of kelmet. The crankshaft is integrated with 12 weights which are cast along with it for balance. Oil holes are built into the crankshaft for supplying oil to the connecting rods, pistons and other components. These engine’s ignition order is 1-5-3-6-2-4. The cylinder head is made of aluminum alloy, with a cross flow type intake and exhaust layout and with pent roof type combustion chambers. your Mikuni HSR is fitted with the tuning parts we found to work with the great majority of engine performance modifications. However, the large number of differing exhaust systems and cams available makes it impossible to accommodate all possible combinations with one carburetor set-up. Your HSR will almost certainly run correctly on your engine without exchanging any parts. But, if it doesn’t, you may alter its tuning to suit your engine’s needs by following this guide. Some exhaust system designs strongly interfere with carburetor tuning. For instance, it is very difficult to get smooth and responsive carburetion through the entire rpm range with straight pipes and completely open exhausts. In addition, very small volume, small diameter mufflers are often ‘seen’ by the engine as straight pipes and present the same tuning difficulties. Very long duration cams often cause relatively poor running below about 3,000 rpm, depending upon the individual cam’s intake valve closing point. Such cams cause reverse airflow out the mouth of the carburetor (often called “reversion” or “standoff”) that can be mistaken for a carburetor tuning problem. Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle performance parts are proven and predictable. If you have any doubts about a particular exhaust system, air cleaner or ignition, you may substitute the Harley Screamin’ Eagle parts as a “reality check.” When re-tuning is required, it usually involves small alterations to the idle and/or main system. The following pages supply enough information to make such alterations relatively simple. Please note that there is no point in attempting to tune any carburetor unless the engine is sound and in a good state of tune. If you have any doubts about the general condition of your engine, have it checked by your dealer or an experienced mechanic before attempting to fine-tune your Mikuni.

Place motorcycle in a secure upright position 2) Remove saddle bags (if applicable) 3) Remove rear fender mounting bolts (3 each side) 4) Tap indicated rear fender mounting holes with a 3/8″ – 16 tap. (2 holes each side) It is highly recommended that cutting/tap oil is used. Use care when tapping holes. Be certain to tap holes completely through. 5) Ensure 2 large attachment bolts are tight. 6) Attach Bracket C (left) and Bracket D (right) to rear fender rail. Use new bolts provided on outer tapped holes (2) and one of the longer original bolts for center hole. Place one washer between brackets C & D and rear fender rail on each bolt. (3 each side) Place washer and thin nut on inside of rear fender on new bolts (2 each side) These replace original fender washers. It may be necessary to reattach saddle bag attachment hardware when attaching brackets C and D. All saddle bag hardware should be attached to the OUTSIDE of brackets C and D. 7) Attach front of Bracket A (left) and B (right) to existing hole in motorcycle frame just above swing arm pivot. 8) Attach rear of bracket A (left) B (right) to TOP of forward hitch arms. Snug bracket A and B attachment bolts at this time. 10) Attach top of Bracket E (left) and F (right) to outside of lower tabs on bracket C & D. 11) Attach bottom of brackets E and F to top of rear hitch plate. 12) Tighten bolts at this time. Use caution not to over tighten and strip tapped holes in rear fender rail. Bracket Identification
