FUEL AND OIL FUEL Proper fuel is very important for the engine. Ensure there is no dust, dirt, or water which has mixed in the fuel. Use regular unleaded gasoline with an octane number 90 or higher. ENGINE OIL Your 250cc ATV has a four-stroke engine. Please use oil as described in the chart below. By using prescribe oil, you will realize the best lubrication for engine. Use the chart to select a viscosity rating based on the temperature range in your area. NOTE: In very cold weather (below 5°F (-15°C), use SAE10W-30 for good starting and smooth operation. Make sure you understand all the labels. Keep the labels on the ATV. Do not remove them for any reason. If a label comes off or becomes difficult to read, you should get a replacement by contacting BAJA INC. 1 – Red Light – Reverse indicator Light illuminates when ATV is in Reverse. 2 – Green Light – Neutral indicator Light illuminates when ATV is in Neutral. 3 – Ignition key switch – Turn right (CW) “RUN”, Turn left (CCW) “OFF”. ATV will only start when ignition key is turned to the “RUN” position. Make sure ignition key switch is in the “OFF” position when not in use

PARTS INFORMATION There is no parts information associated with this Service Bulletin. WARRANTY INFORMATION The normal warranty claim submission requirements apply. Submit one warranty claim per VIN with the following information only: Inspected and REPAIRED Template: GL#9 Hours: 0.2 hours Parts: None If the clamp is installed correctly on top of the speed sensor, no further action is necessary. 3. If the clamp is installed incorrectly under the speed sensor, remove and reinstall the clamp and speed sensor correctly. Torque the bolts,. Torque: 12 N • m (1.2 kgf • m, 9 lbf • ft) If the speed sensor wire clamp for the front ABS speed sensor is installed incorrectly, the ABS speed sensor air gap may be out of specification. This does not affect ABS speed sensor operation, but the clamp should be installed correctly. Inspect and repair all affected units using the Inspection/Repair procedures listed below. Inspect all unsold units and customer units brought in for service. AFFECTED UNITS 2001-2002 GL1800A units as follows: MODEL 2001 GL1800A All units 2002 GL1800A 1HFSC474*2A100001 – 1HFSC474*2A101643 * = denotes check digit Any unit in the above VIN range may be affected and should be inspected according to the procedures in this Service Bulletin. ENGINE Tecumseh warrants the engine for (2) years, NOT Flexible Flyer. See Tecumseh Engine Owner’s Manual. Engine repair, replacement parts, and warranty claims must be handled through an authorized dealer in your locality. Tecumseh has an extensive authorized sales and service dealer network. (See yellow pages of phone directory under “Engine-Gas”). PART 2 FRAME The frame and related components are warranted by Flexible Flyer and are applied to any part found to be defective due to material and/or workmanship when inspected at the Flexible Flyer factory. Flexible Flyer will at its’ option, repair or replace the defective parts to the original purchaser at no charge. The warranty periods are as follows from the date of purchase: A. Frame for 90 days, Void if: 1. Frame is broken or bent due to abuse (underside scraped abusively). 2. Wheels are bent or broken due to impact. 3. Spindles are bent due to impact. 4. Paint is worn off of rear bumper indicating an extra rider. 5. Axels are bent out of ordinary position either horizontally or vertically. 6. Non-Factory altering of engine or it’s components. B. Bearings and sprocket for 30 days C. Clutch for 30 days against breakage of its parts. No warranty is applied for wear of clutch shoes or clutch bearings due to service. D. Throttle cable, brake cable, brake band, chain, tires, seat, shocks, fasteners and other components are not warranted because due to normal service they are subject to excessive wear and abuse.
