Adjusting the position of the compression and rebound damping Rebound damping: -Turn in the adjusting screw 1 in a clockwise direction all the way to the stop. -Turn back the respective number of clicks in a counterclockwise direction. Compression damping, low speed: -Turn in the adjusting screw 2 in a clockwise direction all the way to the stop. -Turn back the respective number of clicks in a counterclockwise direction. Compression damping, high speed: -Turn in the adjusting screw 3 in a clockwise direction all the way to the stop. -Turn back the respective number of clicks in a counterclockwise direction. Adjusting the spring preload NOTE: the spring preload is the difference between the unloaded and preloaded length of the spring. -Tighten the adjusting nut 4 with the special tool T106 until you have the prescribed spring preload. -Tighten the lock screw on the adjusting nut Disassembling the shock absorber -Write down the spring preload. -Write down the rebound and compression damping settings, counting the clicks or number of turns while turning in a clockwise direction. -Unscrew all of the adjusting screws in a counterclockwise direction. -Clamp the upper part of the shock absorber in a vise as shown in the photo, using protective jaws. -Loosen the lock screw 1 (AH 4 mm), loosen the adjusting nut 2 using the special tool T106 3 and relieve the spring. Work instructions and other service information such as the tightening torque, lubricating points and locking agent points, are provided . Example: Front wheel SYMBOL Listed in the table below are the symbols indicating instructions and other information necessary for servicing. ENGINE OIL SUZUKIrecommends the use of SUZUKI PERFORMANCE 4 MOTOR OIL or an oil which is rated SF or SG under the API (American Petroleum Institute) service classification. The recommended viscosity is SAE 1 OW-40 . If an SAE 1 OW-40 oil is not available, select an altematice according to the right chart . BRAKE FLUID Specification and classification: DOT 4 A WARNING Since the brake system of this motorcycle is filled with a glycol-based brake fluid by the manufacturer, do not use or mix different types of fluid such as silicone-based and petroleum-based fluid for refilling the system, otherwise serious damage will result . Do not use any brake fluid taken from old or used or unsealed containers . Never re-use brake fluid left over from a previous servicing, which has been stored for a long period. FRONT FORK OIL Use fork oil L01 or an equivalent fork oil . GENERAL INFORMATION 1-5 ENGINE COOLANT Use an anti-freeze/engine coolant compatible with an aluminum radiator, mixed with distilled water only . WATER FOR MIXING Use distilled water only . Water other than distilled water can corrode and clog the aluminum radiator . ANTI-FREEZE/ENGINE COOLANT The engine coolant perform as a corrosion and rust inhibitor as well as anti-freeze . Therefore, the engine coolant should be used at all times even though the atmospheric temperature in your area does not go down to freezing point. Suzuki recommends the use of SUZUKI COOLANT anti-freeze/engine coolant. If this is not available, use an equivalent which is compatible with an aluminum radiator . Starting at the beginning of production for the 2002 model year for Lexus and 2004 for Toyota, a spin-off of the U140/U240 Four speed transaxle, designated as the U150/U250 series was born. This transmission is classified as a 5 speed transmission, although it has 6 ratio’s possible in the Drive position. The U150/250 is very similar to it’s smaller brother, the U140, and actually uses some of the same parts. This Transaxles shift points, and shift feel are electronically controlled by a Powertrain Control Module. This is accomplished by the PCM monitoring engine load and adjusting solenoid duty cycle to match pressure rise and shift feel. The PCM also monitors the turbine and output speed sensors to calculate gear ratio and the Transmission Range Sensor for gear selection.

This bulletin is a supplement to the previous 1986 Windshield Installation Procedure TSB, body number 032, Volume VIII, dated 08-22-86. In order to comply with FMVSS 212 – Windshield Retention and FMVSS 216 – Roof Crush Resistance, the factory uses a Urethane adhesive sealant with bonded strength of not less than 40 kilograms per square centimeter or 569 pounds per square inch for certain bonded windshields and rear windows on Toyota vehicles. A Urethane adhesive sealant of at least equivalent strength must be used to maintain these retension and roof crush standards when windshield glass replacements are performed by either the dealer or an outside glass shop. Since the adhesive kits listed in Toyota Repair Manuals are not available in the USA, this bulletin is prepared in order to supply information regarding locally available equivalent materials. (See Note 3 on page 3.) For more detailed application information, see the attached “Urethane Adhesive Sealant Applications for Toyota Models.” Be sure to follow the sealant manufacturer’s instructions for best results

recent years, there has been a growing concern for the effects of chemical substances on the environment throughout the world. One of the substances that has attracted attention is the R-12 refrigerant used in automotive air conditioning (A/C) systems. The chemical name for R-12 is Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) and it has been identified along with CFCs from other sources as being a contributing factor in the depletion of the ozone layer in the earth’s atmosphere. The ozone layer provides protection from the harmful effects of the sun’s ultraviolet rays. Consequently it is very important to minimize the amount of refrigerant released into the atmo- sphere. When servicing the A/C system it is mandatory to use a Toyota Approved R-12 refrigerant recovery machine (Toyota P/N 00002-01396-01 ) or its equivalent, and to use only the minimum amount of refrigerant necessary to test or charge the system. The actual repair of each model’s A/C system is detailed in the appropriate Toyota repair manual. However, to aid you in making quick, accurate diagnosis and repair of low refrigerant level conditions, the following inspection procedures have been developed

At its core, the Tundra light duty pickup’s stock engine was replaced with a medium duty diesel powerplant plucked from a 35,000-pound commercial truck.
