Kit Contents See Figure 1 and Table 1. INSTALLATION 1. Remove and discard the original equipment shifter peg. If needed, use a heat gun to apply heat to the shift lever and shifter peg threads to aid in peg removal. 2. See Figure 1. Insert the screw through the peg into the shift lever. INSTALLATION 1. Dyna Models: Remove the plastic clip that fastens the clutch cable to the frame downtube just below the clutch cable adjuster and boot. Leave the clip above the adjuster in place. Softail Models: Remove the plastic clip and screw that attaches the clutch cable to the frame downtube just above the clutch cable adjuster and boot. 2. ALL Models: See Figure 1. Cut the original rubber boot (B) from the clutch cable (A). Make sure that the clutch cable covering is not cut or damaged. 3. Obtain the two halves of the clutch cable adjuster cover (items 1 and 2) and two cushions (8). Peel the paper backing from one cushion (8), and center the cushion on the inside of one cover half. Repeat for the other cushion and cover half. 4. Obtain the two screws (7) from the kit. Position the cover halves on each side of the cable adjuster, and align the screw holes at each end. Place a drop of Loctite 243 – Blue on the screw threads, and fasten the cover halves with the two screws. Tighten to 21 in-lbs (2.4 Nm)

INSTALLATION 1. See Figure 1. Position a footpeg mount (3) and clamp (1) on the engine guard. Position the footpeg mount (3) to allow the footpegs to fasten on the inboard side of the engine guard. 2. Apply LOCTITE® 243 (blue) to two screws (4). 3. Use the screws from Step 2 to fasten the footpeg mount in a comfortable location on the engine guard. Tighten screws to 14 ft-lbs (19 Nm) . 4. Install a footpeg, sold separately, using the spring washer (2), and bolt and locknut (from kit 94133-01). Position the spring washer inside the footpeg mount with the square edge toward the inside of the mount. Tighten locknut to 19 ft-lbs (26 Nm) . 5. Repeat Steps 1-4 on the other side of the motorcycle. SERVICE PARTS

INSTALLATION 1. See Figure 1. Clean the face of the front master cylinder reservoir with denatured alcohol and a paper towel. 2. Remove the paper backing from the adhesive strip, and line the clock up squarely to the master cylinder reservoir as shown. Press firmly into place and hold for a few seconds. 3. Let the adhesive set for a while before setting the time. SETTING THE TIME ON THE CLOCK 1. Using the hex key included in the kit, remove the two screws securing the faceplate to the clock housing 2. Lift off the faceplate and “O”-ring, and set aside. Lift the clock face and movement assembly out of the housing. 3. Pull out the stem carefully, and turn it until the hands indicate the correct time. Carefully push the stem back in to start the clock. 4. Check that the “O”-ring is in place in the faceplate, and re-install the faceplate to the clock housing. Do not over- tighten. REPLACING THE CLOCK BATTERY The clock battery (Type SR626SW) is a common type, available wherever watch batteries are sold. When storing the motorcycle for a long period, pull out the stem carefully to stop the clock and save battery life

Kit numbers 51010-01 and 51011-01 fit 1980 and later FLT, FLHT, FLHR, FLHS, and FLTR models; and 1986 and later FLSTC, FLSTN, FLSTF, and FLSTS models. Kit numbers 51016-01 and 51017-01 fit 1986 and later Softail models equipped with footboard kit part number 50602-89A, 50955-97A, 50602-00, or 50955-00; and 1986 and later FLHT, FLT, FLHR, FLTR, and FLHS models. These inserts are compatible with passenger chrome- footboard covers. Installation REMOVE EXISTING FOOTBOARD INSERTS 1. Apply liquid dishwashing soap to the footboard-insert rubber beads protruding through the bottom of the footboard. 2. Pry the footboard insert out from the top of the footboard to remove the insert. INSTALL NEW FOOTBOARD INSERTS 1. Apply liquid dishwashing soap to the new footboard- insert rubber beads. 2. Place the footboard insert into position on the footboard. Use a pliers to pull each rubber bead into its footboard hole until the beads protrude through the footboard. 3. Repeat the above steps for the remaining footboard insert.
