1. 2. Unscrew the marked bolts and remove the stock muffler brakets (Figure 2). 3. Put the motorcycle on a side stand, we recommend a racing stand. Make sure, that surface is solid and flat. Unscrew the marked bolts from the mufflers chassis hanging brackets and remove the springs. Remove both mufflers with link pipes (Figure 1). REMOVAL OF STOCK EXHAUST SYSTEM
5 Figure 3 Figure 4 1. Insert the catalyst into the link pipe. Put a presson nut on the heat shield link pipe bracket and slide the link pipe with catalyst into the inlet side of the muffler and attach the springs. Repeat the process on another muffler (Figure 3, 4). WARNING! make sure that you put the longer part of the catalyst into the link pipe! INSTALLATION OF THE AKRAPOVIČ SLIP-ON EXHAUST SYSTEM www.akrapovic.com 22Nm 16ftlb 6 Figure 5 Figure 6 Correctly position and install the Akrapovič muffler brackets (Figure 5). WARNING! use Akrapovič bolt sealant on the threads of the stock bolts and tighten the bolts. 2. Correctly position the carbon-fiber clamps and slide them onto the mufflers – bear in mind the left offset of the carbon-fiber clamp viewed from the rear for right side and the right offset for the left side. WARNING! open the clamps slightly wider than the diameter of the outer sleeve of the mufflers – do not scrape them along the mufflers outer sleeve! (Figure 6, 7).

- Install barrel clamps to both slip-on tubes. – Install mufflers and attach using the 8mm bolts and 8mm split lock washers provided. – Align mufflers and tighten the 6x14mm V.A.L.E.™ hardware when the slip-on tube clearance and the muffler alignment is correct. (It may be easier to tighten one bolt first, then remove the slip-on tube assembly to tighten all of the rest of the hardware. – Tighten barrel clamps. Double check all your work to make sure the mufflers are aligned and all hardware is tightened. Before you run the bike, clean off all fingerprints and dirt, as any oily residue will etch the metal and become somewhat permanent when the system gets hot. Run the bike and enjoy. It is normal for some white smoke to appear the first time you start the bike. This is packing/ manufacturing oil from inside the pipe burning off. Check for gaps or leaks. If you find a leak, a little high temperature silicon sealant should fix it. After 50 to 100 miles, recheck all fasteners for tightness

I. Stock muffler removal: refer to diagram #1 *All hardware removed in this procedure must be saved for reinstallation. See Figure 2* 1. Loosen the Allen bolt holding the exhaust bracket to the rear foot peg mount. (It may be easier to turn the nut first then the Allen bolt) 2. Remove the nut and then support the muffler while removing the Allen bolt. Be careful not to loose the washer since it will now just drop out. 3. Now slide the spacer from the foot peg support and remove the muffler by sliding it straight out of the header. 4. Now remove the two rubber bushings and put aside so they won’t fall out and become lost. 5. Repeat the procedure for the other muffler. Parts you will need to reuse. x2 Diagram 1 I. Forza installation: refer to diagram #2 1. Determine the left muffler from the right. The Forza sticker faces out and the inlet pipes bend in slightly. See figure 3. 2. Slide the muffler onto its respective header pipe. 3. Replace the two rubber bushings in the foot peg mounts. 4. Slide the muffler clamp over the muffler and align with the bushings. 5. Squeeze the muffler clamp by hand and insert the spacer first: through both holes in the clamp and second: through both bushings. The clamp should be on the outside of the foot peg support (see diagram2). 6. Install the washer then the nut and snug the nut leaving it loose enough to allow muffler to rotate in the clamp. 7. Turn the pipe until the exhaust tip is pointed down. Then check that the muffler clears the swing arm. 8. Repeat the procedure for the other side.

After bike is cool make sure the bike is secured before beginning the installation. 2 Remove the rear exhaust heat shield/cover from the OEM muffler. Remove the side fairing covers on both sides of the bike (this will allow you access to the seat bolts). Remove the rider seat. 3 Remove the exhaust valve cables located under the seat. Keep the servo motor plugged in (do not unplug the server motor). See figure 2. 4 Unbolt the rear foot peg muffler mount, loosen the assembly mount (header collector clamp) and unbolt the exhaust mounting bolt (figure 3). Remove the stock muffler assembly with the exhaust valve cables. Re-install the seat, seat bolts, and side fairings. 5 Apply a small amount of high temperature silicone (such as Permatex Ultra Black) to the inside of the exhaust inlet. 6 Attach the LOR exhaust canister to the slip-on tube adapter with the spring tabs aligned (make sure your hands are protected with a pair of gloves in case the tubes slip). You may have to squeeze the mid-pipe adapter tube to fit into the exhaust inlet as the mandrel bends may become slightly out of round due to a cut near the bend (the tube will take form once connected). Slide the canister all the way until the slip-on adapter seats fully against the exhaust inlet. Wipe off any excess silicone. 7 Place each spring over the exhaust side spring tabs and use the spring tool to pull the springs over the adapter spring tabs. Both springs must be secured for proper installation. 8 Apply a small amount of silicone sealer (such as permatex Ultra Black or Ultra Copper) to the inside (inlet side) of the slip-on adapter. Slide the low profile barrel clamp over the LevelOne Adapter pipe. Slide the slip-on adapter pipe over the stock header collector. Do not fully tighten the barrel clamp

REMOVAL OF STOCK EXHAUST SYSTEM 1. put the motorcycle on a side stand, we recommend a racing stand 2. remove the lower cowling (complete) – unscrew all bolts and remove the plastic bushings (Figure 1, 2, 3, 4) 3. unscrew the bolt for the metal clamp on the link pipe (at the link pipe – collector joint) (Figure 5) 4. unscrew and remove the bolt for the muffler clamp (Figure 6) 5. remove the link pipe together with the muffler (link pipe and muffler are welded together). We recommend spraying the joint with a multi-purpose spray lubricant (WD-40 or equivalent) 6. if you are mounting the optional carbon-fiber muffler bracket, remove the stock muffler bracket 7. unscrew and remove the bolts on the lower radiator brackets and move the radiator out of the way – do not damage the radiator cooling fins (Figure 7, 8) 8. remove the bolts on the flanges (Figure 9) 9. remove the header tubes together with the flanges (Figure 10) INSTALLATION OF THE AKRAPOVIC RACING OR EVOLUTION SYSTEM installing the header tubes: 1. check the position of the radiator – be careful not to damage the fins 2. use the stock gaskets installed in the exhaust port, or place them on the Akrapovic sleeves 3. install the sleeves together with the flanges and tensioning springs – make sure they are correctly oriented and correctly installed, and that the holes for the springs line up with the holes on the tabs on the header tubes (Figure 11 & 12) 4. tighten the flanges 5. mount the header tubes, which come together with the collector (Figure 13) 6. attach the springs (Figure 14) 7. make sure the header tubes are not touching the engine, the radiator, tubes, electrical installations etc. installing the independent link pipe: 1. if installing the EVOLUTION model use ceramic anti-seizing grease 2. slide the link pipe (inlet side) onto the collector (Figure 15) 3. check the orientation of the link pipe – the holes for the springs must line up 4. attach the springs 5. make sure the link pipe is not touching the frame and other parts installing the muffler: 1. install the carbon-fiber muffler bracket, if applicable 2. position the muffler correctly and slide it onto the outlet side of the link pipe; if installing a titanium link pipe use ceramic anti-seizing grease
