1. 1994-99 models: Remove upper shock absorber nut, washer, shock cover and backing washer. Save nut and washer and discard shock cover and backing washer. 2000-03 models: Remove upper shock bolt, washer and shock cover and save washer. NOTE: Do not remove stock inboard washer that is positioned behind shock cover and against shock absorber. 2. All models: Remove OEM buttonhead screw and flanged nut directly to the rear of the upper shock mount on fender support. Note T-spacer in fender support. Save nut and discard bolt. 3. 1994-99 models: Position saddlebag support (item 1) with front bracket over shock stud and rear mount over hole in fender support. Install ½ * bushing (Item 2) over shock stud and into hole of support front mount. Install saved OEM nut and washer (items 3,4) and tighten securely. 2000-03 models: Apply Locktite to the OEM shock screw (Item 5) and install through the saved washer (Item 6), front bracket of the saddlebag support (Item 1), shock and into the frame. Tighten to 21-35 ft. -lbs torque. NOTE: If installing supports with sissy bar side plates, omit 5/16 * lock washer (Item 8). H-D sissy bar side plate mounts between fender support and fender. Khrome Werks® sissy bar plate mounts outboard of fender support. CAUTION: Be careful to not dislodge T-spacer from its position in fender while inserting screw through fender support and fender. 4. Insert supplied socket head cap screw (Item 7) and lock washer (Item 8) (if applicable) through the rear saddlebag support mount, sissy bar side plate (if applicable) , fender with T-spacer and frame. Apply Loctite to the saved flanged nut and secure. Tighten to 8-13 ft-lbs torque.

Loosen the clamp where the stock tailpipe connects to the stock collector. 2. Remove the bolt holding the stock muffler assembly to the footpeg/exhaust bracket. 3. Remove the stock tailpipe and exhaust assembly as one piece. 4. Remove the nut securing the right side center stand support bolt. Install the new supplied bracket as shown in (See figure 1) 5. Remove the right rear footpeg assembly complete, bolt the new footpeg mounting bracket in place of the stock one using supplied bolts. 6. Carefully unbolt the footpeg from the bracket (Be careful there are springs and washers that will fall out if you are not careful), bolt the footpeg into the new billet footpeg bracket. Bolt the footpeg bracket to the footpeg- mounting bracket. (See figure 2) 7. Remove the stock exhaust gasket from the stock tailpipe and installthe gasket into the new tailpipe. 8. Slide the supplied clamp over the new tailpipe and slide the new tailpipe onto the stock collector. 9. Slide the TiForce end can into place. Loosely attach the two rubber bands, stainless steel bands K, and stayarm / hanger G to the end can using the supplied 6mm hardware H. See figure 4. 10. Place the bands approximately 150mm from the edge of the end can. See figure 5. 11. Using the stock provided mounting point on the passenger footpeg, and using the stock mounting bolt, mount the end can loosely, allowing for some adjustment. Insert the stock mounting bolt through the stay / hanger G. 12. Attach the supplied springs to connect the tailpipe and muffler assembly. 13. Make sure the exhaust system is free and clear, if necessary jigglethe system to adjust for proper clearance. 14. Carefully align the two stainless bands K so that they are parallel to each other, and spaced properly on the can (figure 5), then tighten the 6mm hardware H and the stock mounting bolt hardware. Make sure thatthe rubber pads fully cover the band(s). USE CAUTION WHEN TIGHTENING THE 6MM HARDWARE AND THE TWO BANDS SO AS NOT TO CRUSH OR DISTORT THE SLEEVE OF THE CAN. 15. Tighten the supplied clamp to secure the new tailpipe to the factory collector. 16. Using some brake and contact cleaner on a clean rag, carefully wipe down the entire exhaust system to remove any residual oils, anti seize, fingerprints and dirt prior to starting the motor. FAILURE TO CLEAN THE TUBING AND CAN MAY RESULT IN PERMANENT STAINING OF THE SYSTEM WHEN HEATED. 17. Check that all hardware is tightened, then start the motor and check for exhaust leaks.

install all bolts loosely until all brackets are in place y Remove any aftermarket accessories (saddle bags, back rests, etc) before hitch installation. After installation remount accessories. NOTE: Some aftermarket accessories may not be compatible with InstaTrike. 1) Place motorcycle on a firm level surface. 2) Remove rear foot pegs and bolts 3) Attach bracket A (left) and bracket B (right) to the inside of the rear foot peg bracket and reattach rear foot pegs using new bolts provided. 4) Attach front of bracket C (left) and bracket D (right) to bottom of brackets A and B 5) Attach bracket E (left) and bracket F (right) to two rear fender attachment bolts using new bolts provided 6) Attach brackets G and H to rear of brackets E and F 7) Attach bottom of brackets G and H to hitch plate. 8) Attach rear of brackets C and D to TOP of forward hitch arms. 9) Tighten all bolts. Installation Diagram Leveling stand screw jack installation 1) Thread right side screw jack into threaded hole on bracket D 2) Push motorcycle over from left side until right screw jack is touching floor. 3) Install left side screw jack on bracket C and adjust out until motorcycle will rest upright on both screw jacks. 4) Adjust screw jacks until motorcycle is level. CAUTION – Use screw jacks to hold motorcycle upright and level ONLY. Do not lift motorcycle with screw jacks. CAUTION – Use care when installing screw jacks. Be certain that motorcycle is always in a stable balanced position

75W-85 GL5 synthetic gear oil beginning with the 2008 model year. This new synthetic gear oil is compatible with 2003 – 2007 model year 4Runner and 2007 model year FJ Cruiser differentials. Before beginning installation, assure that vehicle has been pulled forward into work-area with the wheels straight and that the ground is level. The clearances around the FJ bumper are critical to proper installation and fitment. Moving vehicle with wheels turned causes slight frame twist preventing ease of removal of OE bumper and nstallation of new bumper without issue. Make sure you have plenty of room to work around front of vehicle. Open the hood at this time, you will need to see down through the inner-body core-support while removing your OE bumper and installing your Body Armor FJ Bumper. Step 2 a. Unpack bumper using staple puller to remove staples. Save all packing materials and take care not to tear cartons. b. Remove hardware and misc.parts. Check parts/hardware list to confirm all parts and necessary hardware are included. c. It’s a good idea to spray all OE attaching hardware at this time with penetrating oil before beginning removal of OE bumper. This will ease removal as well as to help assure that none of the bolts’ / nuts’ threads are damaged during removal. Use extra caution when working with the bumper mounting studs & nuts. Step 3 a. Begin removing OE bumper following instructions and photos on the following page for detailed descriptions and references. When done, proceed to Step 4 here.

Always use caution and protect surfaces from spills whenever brake work is performed. Failure to comply can result in cosmetic damage. (00239b) Drain Brake Fluid 1. Pop off bleeder nipple cap on rear brake caliper. 2. Install one end of a length of plastic tubing over caliper bleeder valve. Place free end of the tubing in a suitable container. 3. Open the bleeder valve about 1/2-turn and pump the brake pedal to drain the brake fluid out of the rear brake system. Do not reuse brake fluid. Remove brake line components carefully. Damage to seating surfaces can cause leakage. (00320a) Remove Existing Rear Brake Line 1. See Figure 1. Disconnect wiring harness connectors from brake light switch spade terminals.

Installation While handling and installing tool box, be careful not to scratch surface. 1. See Service Parts Illustration. Install tool box (1) to mounting bracket (6) using button head screws (2) and washers (5). Screws (2) should be inserted through mounting holes on inside of tool box (1) and then inserted through bracket (6) holes and threaded into weld nuts attached to bracket. 2. Remove and save the two screws that secure left rear fender support to motorcycle frame. 3. Remove two bolts, nuts, and washers that secure debris deflector to motorcycle frame. This will allow you to move debris deflector out of the way when installing new passenger footpeg support bolt. Save hardware for reinstallation. 4. For 1990 to 1999 Softails: If tool box is being installed with passenger footpeg, remove the hex head bolt and left passenger footpeg. Retain footpeg and lockwasher for reinstallation. Discard bolt . If tool box is being installed without passenger footpeg, remove hex head bolt and left passenger footpeg. Discard footpeg. Retain bolt and lockwasher. For 2000 and later Softails: See page 3 . Remove footrest from clevis. Remove clevis from frame by removing cap screw from center of clevis. If tool box is installed with footpegs, keep all hardware. If toolbox is to be installed with footboards, discard hardware. 5. Slide top of mounting bracket (6) between rear fender support and frame. Align top holes in bracket with fender support holes. Align lower bracket hole with footpeg mounting hole in frame. Install the two screws, removed in Step 2, in fender support. Do not tighten screws at this time. 6. For 1990 to 1999 Softails: Place lockwasher retained in step 4 on footpeg support hex head bolt (3) from kit. CAUTION 1 of 3 For 2000 and later Softails with footpegs: Install kit 49352-00 according to instructions included in this kit. Footpeg must fold up at a 45°angle (from vertical) toward rear of motorcycle. This angle allows footpeg to fold up if, by accident, it strikes the ground surface when making a sharp turn. Failure to set footpeg to the proper fold-up angle could result in death or serious injury. 7. For 1990 to 1999 Softails: Position footpeg so it folds up and back at a 45°angle. Install bolt (3) from kit through frame, tool box bracket (6), and spacer (4), into footpeg, as shown. NOTE If vehicle is equipped with saddlebag support bracket, Part No. 90346-90 or 90346-94, position saddlebag support bracket between tool box bracket and spacer.

Installation- Late 1984 and Later XLModels (Equipped With Alternator) 1 CAUTION Late 1994 and 1995 XL vehicle nut plates have 3/8-16 threads. Reuse original screws on late 1994 and 1995 XL models. Installing the 3/8-24 x 1-1/4 in. screws from kit will damage nut plate and screw threads. 1. See Figure 1. From underside of steering head remove screws (7, 8, or 9) and flat washer (6). Discard original screws (7, 8, or 9) and washer (6). 2. Remove and discard the two top motor mount screws, washers, and nuts. 3. See Figures 1 and 2. Place washer (2) on 5-1/2 in. long screw (1). Insert screw (1) through one motor mount, through spacer (11) (unless engine guard is being installed on a vehicle equipped with forward controls, in which case DO NOT USE SPACER), through the offset end of bracket (3), and (with large offset toward jiffy stand side of vehicle) through the other motor mount. Place kit supplied washer (2) on end of screw (1) and secure with locknut (4). Be sure bracket does not pinch wiring. On 1986 and later models be sure bracket does not contact oil pressure switch. 4. INSTALLATION 1. See Figure 1. Center drilling template on the rear fender. Adjust template to the bottom edge of the fender and tape template to fender. 2. Center punch the two template drilling locations. NOTE Use caution to prevent damage to the tire when drilling the attachment holes for the mudflaps. 3. Use a 5/16 inch bit to drill the template holes. 4. See Figure 2. Install the mudflap using one stud, washer and nut in each fastening hole. Tighten to 5-10 ft-lbs (6.8- 13.6 Nm) . 5. Repeat Steps 1-4 for the opposite fender.

(00111a) Prepare the Replacement Brake Pads 1. Remove paper backing from the mask. 2. See Figure 2. Carefully align and apply the mask (1) to the non-friction side of the brake pad (Figure 1, Item 2). NOTES Gloves are recommended when applying the brake pad paste to keep hands clean. 3. See Figure 4. Apply paste (6) in the mask holes until the holes are filled with paste. NOTE To prevent brake paste from transferring to other surfaces, do not apply paste thicker than specified. 4. See Figure 3. Wipe away excess paste with scraper (1) until the paste is the same thickness as the mask (2)
