Begin by removing the front fascia and front skid plate on the vehicle as shown in figure 1. Save the fasteners as they will be used later to re-install the front fascia and skid plate. 2. Remove the 8mm bolts on both sides located inside the front tires and on the ends of two horizontal tubes on the front tube frame as shown in figure 2. 3. Place the mounting plate (A1) inside the front tube frame. The tabs with the slotted holes facing down. The slotted tabs should align where the
two 8mm bolts were removed in step 2. Reinstall these two bolts at this time thighten to just fingertight. Install the two 1/4-20 u-bolts (B3) and locking hex nuts (B1) and flat washers (B7) at thism time see figure 3, do not tighten down at this time. so the plate can be adjusted for position see figure 2. 4. Place the rear support bracket (A4) into position
and attach with the two 5/16-18 x 3/4 hex cap screws (B6), flat washer (B5) and locking nut (B4). Adjust the position of the support bracket so that it comes in contact with the frame tubes and tighten the fasteners see figures 3 and 4.
Make sure the support bracket maintains contact with the rear frame tubes and tighten down the two front 8mm mounting bolts. Tighten the bolts to a recommended torque of 12 ft-lb (17 N-m). 5. Attach the fairlead bracket support (A2) to the front frame tubes see figure 5. The support bracket attaches behind the front tubes. Space the bracket away from the tubes using the spacer brackets (A3). Attach the brackets using the 1/4- 20 u-bolts (B2), lock nuts (B1) and flat washers (B7). Before tightening the u-bolts make sure the bracket is in the correct position by fitting the front
fasica into postion and checking location. Tighten the nuts to a recommended torque of 7 ft-lb (10 N-m). NOTE: If this kit is being installed on a 00 to 03 Honda the wider fairlead bracket (A2) will need to be used. This will require the use of the
wider u-bolts (B3). The spacer brkts (A3) will not be required when installing the wider fairlead brkt

Flat side of the brace against bottom of frame tubes. Outboard tabs up and to the rear of the vehicle. 1.7 Leave the bolts loose to allow the bracket’s position to be adjusted later in installation. 1.8 Install front brackets to vehicle between the frame and crash bars as shown, using the supplied hardware (the left side bracket is longer than the right. Figure 3 1.9 Leave the bolts loose to allow the bracket’s position to be adjusted later in installation. 1.10 Position the accent panel to vehicle. Figure 4 1.11 Install supplied hardware to front and cross brackets. Figure 5 &Figure 6 1.12 Leave the bolts loose to allow the accent panel’s position to be adjusted later in installation. 1.13 If not already preinstalled to your accent panel, install rubber bead edge molding between trike body (fender) and accent panel. Bead edge molding 1.14 Clamp the accent panel to the body (fender). Check position of accent panel and ensure proper positioning of bead edge molding. 1.15 Four holes will be drilled though body (fender) and accent panel in the approximate positions shown (both left and right accent panels). Figure 8 Note: Hole location dimension in Figure 8 are approximations. Your drill location may and can vary. Note: Hole position should be as high an possible on the accent panel, allowing space to install hardware 1.16 With accent panel and bead edge molding properly positioned and clamped to body (fender), Drill the two outboard holes in the approximate position shown from inside the fender well through mounting surface of accent panel. Note: Drill outboard hole first and install hardware to reduce risk of accidental movement. Figure 9 1.17 Drill remaining two inboard holes from the accent panel mounting surface through the body (fender). Figure 10 1.18 With both left and right accent panels installed, tighten all hardware at the left and right front mounting positions. 1.19 Trim off excess bead edge molding. 1.20 With left and right front mounting secure, check position and alignment of cross bar and accent panel mid mounts and tighten all hardware. 1.21 With fairing removed, crimp supplied xxx to the black, purple and blues wires of the vehicle’s turn signal wire loom. 1.22 Crimp one of the supplied male spade connectors to the end each wire from the accent panel. 1.23 Connect wiring as indicated in Table 1 below. INSTALLATION 1. Note the left and right areas on frame where the covers will be installed. Using a 50/50 mixture of isopropyl alcohol and water, thoroughly clean the frame tubes surrounding the fuel cell on the left and right sides. Let dry completely. 2. Unlock and open seat. NOTE Loosening the ignition/light switch screw (in the following step) will allow much easier alignment of the ignition/light switch cover and ignition/light switch during installation. 3. See Figure 1. At area inside of frame rail just above the ignition/light switch housing, loosen the ignition/light switch screw just enough to allow the ignition/switch switch to move slightly from side to side and up and down. Do not completely remove screw 4. See Figure 4. Obtain the right side cover bracket (ignition/light switch side) from kit. 5. Remove the strips protecting the adhesive at all of the raised sections on the cover. 1 2 is 02045 1. Ignition/Light Switch Screw 2. Ignition/Light Switch Figure 1. Loosen Ignition Switch Assembly 6. See Figure 2. Carefully align the right side cover between the three frame tubes. Beginning with the left portion of the cover, press the cover between the upper and lower frame tubes until the raised portions of cover (with adhesive) begin to snap into place. While carefully aligning the right portion of the cover, move the ignition/light switch as necessary until centered within hole in cover, then firmly press into place. Adjust ignition/light switch until the switch is centered within cover. Make sure all raised locations (with adhesive) are firmly contacting the upper and lower frame tubes and that cushion rests against front vertical frame tube. 7. See Figure 1. Tighten the ignition switch screw to 6-10 Nm (53-88 in-lbs ) . NOTE The right side (ignition/light) switch cover surface can be damaged by the key fob (from vibration) when the key is in the ignition and the bike is running. You can either remove the key fob so it does not damage the cover surface, or you can install the plastic clear sheet (included in kit) onto the side cover for protection. 8. If desired, perform the following to install the plastic clear cover onto the ignition/light switch cover. a. Obtain the plastic (rhino) sheet and hold up to the switch cover to determine proper orientation and spacing. b. Carefully peel the adhesive backing from the plastic sheet and position onto the cover. Use a wet sponge, and working out from the center, rub out any bubbles or overlapped areas under the sheet. Allow to dry completely.
