Assemble triple lip output seal 705002 and output spacer 280001 together. The seal is shipped with high performance grease packed into the seal lips to ensure lubrication and exclude dust & water. (Caution: Only high temperature grease should be used, grease is better than oil, never install the seal dry.) Slide the quad ring and seal/spacer assembly onto the transmission output shaft, then slide tool JE300001 ( TwistGear TM ) or JE300002 ( WideGear ) onto the shaft and finally tighten the nut until the tool drives the seal flush with the case. Do not attempt to install the main drive seal without the JE tool or the seal will be damaged, and the seal performance will be compromised (the JE seal is wider around the shaft for the third sealing lip, which will be damaged if a tool is pressed against it.) It is best that a new JE spacer be used each time a new seal is installed for quick break-in of the main lip seal surface. Counter Shaft Assembly Note the order and orientation of the gears on the counter shaft when it is removed from the trapdoor. Disassemble the counter shaft and transfer the parts to the TwistGear TM counter shaft. Note that the TwistGear TM counter shaft assembles in different order than the OEM counter shaft. Two washers are required in the position as shown in figure 1 (see arrow) before the retainer ring is installed. The second washer is included in the kit.

Installation 1. Remove upper screws that attach the chrome headlamp nacelle to the front forks. 2. See Service Parts illustration. Attach the upper docking bushings (22) using washer (21) and mushroom head screws (20) Use Loctite 242 (blue) on screw threads. Torque screws to 19 ft-lbs (25.8 Nm). 3. Remove lower screws that attach the chrome headlamp nacelle to the front forks. 4a. For vehicles equipped with the Chrome Headlamp Nacelle, attach the lower docking bushing (22) using washer (21) and button head screw (23). 4b. For vehicles equipped with the Street Stalker Headlamp Nacelle, attach the lower docking bushing (22) using washer (21) and button head screw (24). Installing/Removing Windshield 1. Carefully lock bottom windshield assembly jaws into grooves of the lower rubber docking bushings. 2. Hook the top windshield assembly jaws into grooves of the upper rubber docking bushings. 3. Firmly press the windshield into place until seated on docking bushings. 4. To remove windshield, grab windshield edges on each side of center brace and firmly pull windshield loose from docking bushings. 1 WARNING Carefully inspect windshield upon completion of installation. Be sure windshield mounting does not restrict full left or full right movement of front fork assembly. Restricted movement could affect handling, resulting in personal injury. If restriction does occur, adjust windshield as needed until proper clearance is obtained. Have experienced Harley-Davidson service personnel correct any problems before riding with this accessory installed. 1 CAUTION Check mounting hardware periodically. Never ride with loose mounts. A loose mounting causes extra stress on all other mounts, as well as the windshield itself, and could result in premature failure of either or both. 1 CAUTION Do not clean Lexan®polycarbonate in hot sun or high temperature. Powdered, abrasive or alkaline cleanser will damage the windshield. Never scrape the windshield with a razor blade or other sharp instruments because permanent damage will result. Sunlight reflections off of the inside curvature of a windshield can, at certain times of the day, cause extreme heat build-up on motorcycle instruments. Exercise care in parking. Park facing the sun, place an opaque object over the instruments, or adjust the windshield to avoid reflections. Harley-Davidson windshields are made of Lexan®. Lexan®is a more durable and distortion-resistant material than other types of motorcycle windshield material, but still requires attention and care to maintain. • Do not use liquid windshield “protectors” on your windshield. Although they may work well on automobile safety glass, Harley-Davidson cannot ensure the results when used on Lexan®Harley- Davidson windshields. If you want to use a windshield protectant on your windshield, try Harley Glaze Polish and Sealant®. • Do not use benzine, paint thinner, gasoline, or other types of harsh cleaning agents on windshield. They will damage the windshield surface. • Do not use benzine, paint thinner, gasoline, lubricants (including Armorall), or other cleaning agents on the rubber bushings. They will damage the bushing surfaces

1. Make sure the bike is completely cool before starting the installation. Make sure the bike is secure on the side- stand or ideally a rear service stand. 2. Loosen the clamp that holds the muffler connector pipe to the headers. 3. Remove the hardware that holds the stock muffler at the passenger footpeg bracket. Take off the muffler. 4. Place a bead of the hi-temp sealant on the outside edge of the header that goes into the s-bend. Wipe off the excess sealant that will squeeze out. Slide the S-bend connector pipe onto the end of the headers (wipe off the excess sealant that will squeeze out). Re-use the stock clamp to attach the s-bend to the headers. Leave loose for now. 5. Place a bead of the hi-temp sealant on the outside edge of the s-bend that goes into the canister. Slide the TBR canister onto the end of the S-bend pipe. Wipe off the excess sealant that will squeeze out. 6. Carefully slide the muffler clamp over the muffler. ( Note: The stainless steel canister clamp and the name badge on the canister come from the factory with a clear plastic protective film. Please remove this film before operation.) You may need to twist and turn the S-bend a little to get it in the right place. Locate both tabs of the canister clamp and the 50mm spacer on the inside of the passenger footpeg bracket. Use the 85mm bolt and stock nut & washer to secure it. Leave loose for now. 7. Make sure everything is aligned and tighten all hardware. Affix the connector springs to the muffler. 8. Before you run the bike, clean off all fingerprints and dirt, as any oily residue will etch the metal and become somewhat permanent when the system gets hot. Run the bike and enjoy. It is normal for some white smoke to appear the first time you start the bike. This is packing/manufacturing oil from inside the pipe burning off. Check for gaps or leaks. If you find a leak, a little high temperature silicon sealant should fix it. After 50 to 100 miles, recheck all fasteners for tightness.

When a vehicle is so equipped, the pilot must be replaced. The pilot is located in either the engine’s crankshaft or in the center of the flywheel. To remove a flywheel-fit pilot, remove the flywheel from the engine and drive or press out the pilot from the backside of the flywheel. Press or gently tap new pilot into flywheel after flywheel has been machined (where applicable). For crankshaft-fit pilots, an effective means for removal is to select a drift punch or wooden dowel that fits snugly into the old pilot. Then, pack the old pilot tightly with grease. Using the drift punch (or dowel) and a hammer, drive the grease toward the engine. The grease will not compress and will in turn push the old pilot out of the crankshaft. Install the new pilot carefully using a bearing driver. NOTE: Do not grease new pilots. New pilot bearings come pre-greased (often with special synthetic grease). Bronze pilot bushings have oil in the pores of the material that grease will clog. For bushings, a few drops of 30W oil can be used if desired. PRESSURE PLATE AND DISC Install flywheel (refer to flywheel section above) . Always tighten flywheel to crankshaft bolts in a star pattern to manufacturer’s torque specification. Before installing the disc, make sure that it slides smoothly on the transmission input shaft. Apply a thin coat of high temperature grease (such as wheel bearing grease) to the splines of the input shaft. DO NOT USE ANTI-SEIZE! It does not cling to rotating parts. Slide the disc back and forth on the input shaft and remove any extra grease that squishes out of the splines of the disc. Do not get grease or oil on the disc facing. Any grease or oil on a disc facing can be removed with alcohol or brake cleaner if done quickly. Lay the disc on the flywheel noting the flywheel side of the disc and hold it in place with the alignment tool. Clean the pressure ring of the pressure plate with brake cleaner to remove the rust inhibiting coating. Do not spray the entire pressure plate with brake cleaner as lube for internal parts will be removed. Set the pressure plate on the flywheel dowel pins (if equipped) and hand tighten the hold-down bolts. With hand tools, tighten pressure plate bolts ½ turn at a time in a star pattern until the manufacturer’s torque specification is met. Remove the alignment tool. NOTE: Different brands of the same pressure plate may have a difference in appearance and uninstalled lever height. These are not issues. Appearance can vary greatly and the installed lever height will be the same.

1 After bike is cool make sure the bike is secured before beginning the installation. 2 Remove the fairing retaining clips and mounting bolt. Remove the stock mid pipe and muffler. 3 Apply a small amount of high temperature silicone (such as Permatex Ultra Black) to the inside of the exhaust inlet. 4 Attach the LOR exhaust canister to the slip-on tube adapter with the spring tabs aligned (make sure your hands are protected with a pair of gloves in case the tubes slip). You may have to squeeze the mid-pipe adapter tube to fit into the exhaust inlet as the mandrel bends may become slightly out of round due to a cut near the bend (the tube will take form once connected). Slide the canister all the way until the slip-on adapter seats fully against the exhaust inlet. Wipe off any excess silicone. 5 Place each spring over the exhaust side spring tabs and use the spring tool to pull the springs over the adapter spring tabs. Both springs must be secured for proper installation. 6 Apply a small amount of silicone sealer (such as permatex Ultra Black or Ultra Copper) to the inside (inlet side) of the slip-on adapter. Slide the low profile barrel clamp over the LevelOne Adapter pipe. Slide the slip-on adapter pipe over the stock header collector. Do not fully tighten the barrel clamp. 7 Place the round canister clamp with the rubber gasket over the rear of the exhaust and slide to the clamp location. Insert the original stock screw and 8mm washer through the exhaust clamp and finally through the foot peg. Mount the clamp to the outside of the stock muffler bracket. On the opposite side (towards the bike) place the stock 8mm lock washer and stock 8mm nut and start the thread. Do not fully tighten at this time. 8 Standing at the rear of the motorcycle, check the alignment of the muffler. You can adjust/rotate both the exhaust and mid-pipe adapter until the muffler is aligned properly. 9 Once everything is aligned fully tighten the exhaust canister clamp. 10 Fully tighten the low profile barrel clamp over the stock header. 11 Before you start the bike make sure all fingerprints and dirt have been removed from the canister and slip-on adapter. You may use rubbing alcohol to clean the slip-on adapter. After 75-100 miles check all bolts, etc for tightness. It is recommended to apply some light – medium grade thread locker to prohibit any bolts from loosening under the vibration from the bike. 12 Enjoy your LevelOne Racing exhaust system
