STEP #1 – Expose the battery by removing the seat & side panels on the rightnside of the bike. See the Honda service manual. If you are not familiar with this procedure, have a trained technician install the kit. STEP #2 – Drill a 18mm hole into the panel shown [A] (11/16” hole saw recommended and is available on our site). This hole must be drilled in
the correct spot on the panel, make sure it is not too far to the left. If the hole is small for the socket open it with emery cloth or file. There is a coil to the left. Do not install the socket yet. There is a raised lip on the back of the panel. Trim this off so the jam nut will contact the back of the panel evenly. STEP #3 – Attach the socket to the panel; use a dab of Silicone on the socket and jam nut. Important: Do NOT use Loctite or over-tighten; the plastic can crack. STEP #4 – Stretch out the wiring harness. Attach the fuse holder to the support bracket located above the battery [E]. Next remove the negative battery connection, followed by the positive battery connection. Slip the red wire under the red battery boot [C]. You may need to trim the red boot to accommodate the added wire. Connect the red wire to the battery posts as follow

Prime the engine before starting by cranking the engine several times with the kick starter. The ignition switch should be OFF, the choke lever Fully ON (A) and the throttle opened slightly. Flooded Engine If the engine fails to start after several repeated attempts, it may have become flooded with excess fuel. To clear the engine, turn off the engine stop switch and lower the choke lever to Fully OFF (B). Open the throttle fully and crank the engine several times with the kick starter. Turn the engine stop switch to RUN and open the throttle slightly; start the engine using the kick starter When service is required, remember that your authorized Honda dealer knows your motorcycle best and is fully equipped to maintain and repair it. The scheduled maintenance may also be performed by a qualified service facility that normally does this kind of work; or you may perform most of the work yourself it you are mechanically qualified and have the proper tools
and service data. • These instructions are based on the assumption that the motorcycle will be used exclusively for
its designed purpose. Sustained high speed operation, or operation in unusually wet or dusty conditions, will require more frequent service than specified in the MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE. Consult your authorized Honda dealer for ecommendations applicable to you individual needs
and use

Cartridge bearings with two rows of tapered rollers are used for the non-driving rear wheels of compact and mid-size vehicles. They are usually mounted in “drum-brake hubs”, and sometimes in “disk-brake hub”.
Hub bearings, also called “single-flanged bearings”, integrate the hub function in their outer ring, to which the brake rotor and the wheel are directly attached. This solution, which facilitates assembly and increases reliability, is mainly used on the non-driving rear wheels of upper mid-size vehicles
