This kit fits all 1999 and later FLHR (Road King®) models, FLTR (Road Glide®) and FLHT (Electra Glide® standard) models having license plates measuring a maximum of 7-1/4 x 4-1/4 inches (184 x 108 mm). Also fits 2003 FLHRSEI2 (Screamin’ Eagle® Road King). Does not fit with Detachable Tour-Pak Rack, part number 53276-04. Does not fit 2002 FLHRSEI (Screamin’ Eagle Road King). Kit Contents See Figure 1. INSTALLATION 1. Remove the license plate from the vehicle (if installed). Remove the two hex head bolts holding the original equipment (O.E.) license-plate bracket in place. The bolts and license-plate bracket can be discarded. 2. See Figure 1. Install the new layback license plate holder (1) using the button-head hex socket screws (3) from the kit. Tighten the screws to 19 ft-lbs (25.8 Nm) . 4 1 3 7 5 2 6 is02737 1. Position the license plate onto the foam pads (2) of the license plate holder, centering and aligning the plate parallel to the holder edges for best appearance. NOTE Slots in the inside top edge of the license plate frame (4) fit over the two tabs on the top edge of the license plate holder. 4. Hook the top of the license plate frame over the top edge of the holder. Swing the bottom edge of the frame inward, holding the license plate in position against the pads. 5. Use the hex key (6) from the kit to securely fasten the license plate frame to the holder with the two socket head set screws (5)

INSTALLATION NOTES The cotter pin or spring clip for the rear axle nut must be replaced during assembly and is available for purchase from a Harley-Davidson dealer. The five sprocket mounting screws must be replaced when replacing the sprocket. Remove existing sprocket according to service manual instructions. Remove all residual threadlocking agent from fastener holes using an appropriate thread chasing device and compressed air.

This kit fits all 1999 through 2005 Electra Glide model motorcycles with passenger handrail. Kit Contents See Figure 1 for a list of the kit contents. No Service Parts are available for this kit. INSTALLATION NOTE The passenger handrail grips are side-specific. Install the grips so that the Bar-and-Shield logo is oriented properly. 1. See Figure 1. Obtain a rubber grip insert (4) from the kit. 2. Open up the rubber insert along the horizontal split (A), and fit it over the forward curve of the handrail. Ensure that the insert is positioned to fit the curve properly, with no kinks or gaps. 3. Obtain an inner grip (1), the correct-side outer grip (2 or 3), and six screws (5) from the kit. 4. Position the inner and outer grips over the insert, pressing them firmly together and lining up the holes. 5. Insert a screw through one of the holes in the inner grip, and carefully thread part way into the mating hole in the outer grip. Repeat for the remaining five screws. 6. Use the hex socket wrench (6) provided to tighten all six screws securely. 7. Repeat Steps 1 through 6 for the opposite side

This kit fits 2003 and later EFI Touring, 2002 and later EFI Softail, and 2004 and later EFI Dyna model motorcycles. Kit Contents See Figure 1 and Table 1. INSTALLATION 1. Clean the outer surface of the fitting with a 50/50 mixture of isopropyl alcohol and water. Allow the cleaned surface to dry. 2. See Figure 1. Peel the liner off of the tape (3) already installed in both of the cover halves (1 and 2). 3. Assemble the inner (2) and outer (1) cover halves so that they clamp the fuel supply fitting, and fasten securely from the back side with the three screws (4) from the kit, using the hex key (5) provided. These kits are designed to fit all 1982 and later Harley- Davidson motorcycles. Kit Contents See Figure 1 and Table 1. INSTALLATION 1. Remove and discard the existing mirror. Discard any lockwashers and acorn nuts used to mount the original mirror. 2. For motorcycles with turn signals mounted to the underside of the hand lever housings except 2004 and later XL models: See Figure 1. Secure the left side mirror using only the flat washer (3) and the acorn nut (5) from the kit. 3. Secure the right side mirror with the flat washer (3) and acorn nut (5) from the kit and the turn signal retainer only. Do not use washer (4) on either side. For 2004 and later XL models use only the lockwasher (4), and acorn nut (5) on each side. 4. For motorcycles with turn signals mounted away from the hand lever housings: Insert the mirror studs into the holes in the hand lever housings, and secure the mirrors with the flat washers (3), lockwashers (4) and acorn nuts (5) from the kit. 5. Adjust the mirrors for proper field of vision and tighten the acorn nut to 12 ft-lbs (16 Nm). Check mirror adjustment and reposition if necessary

KIT CONTENTS See Figure 2 and Table 1. INSTALLATION 1. Loosen screw from the original equipment headlamp trim ring and remove ring. 2. Remove screw and nut from accessory trim ring assembly and set aside temporarily. 3. See Figure 1. If not already installed, place one rubber strip (2) inside trim ring (1) as shown. 4. See Service Parts Illustration. Insert the glass lens assembly (A) inside rubber strip (4) and trim ring (3), as shown. NOTE Rotating the lens may help insertion. 5. Install trim ring onto the main lamp housing (B). Assemble nut (2) and screw (1). Tighten securely

Remove windshield. INSTALLATION 1. See Figure 1. Remove rubber trim strip from the original windshield and install on the replacement windshield. 2. Put the windshield into position. At each wellnut location use a scribe, or similar pointed tool, to make a pilot hole through the windshield tape where the mounting screw (4) goes into the wellnut (3). Install the mounting screws (4), with the nylon washers (5) and on 2004 models, the rubber washers (6) positioned as shown into the wellnuts (3). 3. Tighten mounting screws from the center to the outside edge on both sides. Tighten screws to 6-13 in-lbs (0.7- 1.5 Nm) . Well-nuts will expand to grip fairing.

Kit Contents Part Number Description 74612-06 Radio and gauge faceplate trim There are no Service Parts available with this kit. INSTALLATION NOTE Mounting surface of faceplate trim must be above 60°F (16°C), or the trim may not stay attached. 1. Using a 50:50 isopropyl alcohol/water solution, thoroughly clean the surface where the faceplate trim will be installed. Do not clean with denatured alcohol, mineral spirits, or other solvent products, or damage to the radio may occur. (00411b) 2. Allow the surface to dry completely before continuing to install kit. 3. Test the fit of the faceplate trim prior to removing adhesive backing. 4. Remove the adhesive backing from the back of the faceplate trim. 5. See Figure 1. Install the faceplate trim, locating it upward as far as possible. This position will align the opening in the faceplate trim with the indicator lights. NOTE If you do not position the faceplate trim properly, this may prevent proper clearances between the CD door and trim for 2006 and later models. 6. Let the adhesive cure for at least 24 hours at no less than 60°F (16°C). is01435 Figure 1. Kits 52981-98A and 51102-01A fit 1997 and later FLHR and 1998 and later FLHRCI model motorcycles. Kits 52059-97A and 52918-98A are designed for installation on 1997 and later FLHR and 1997 and later FLHT motorcycles with trim piece kit number 52447-96 installed. Kit 52934-98A fits 1997 and later FLHR, and FLHRCI motorcycles. This kit also fits 1997 and later FLHT and 1998 FLTR when installed with trim piece kit number 52447-96. See Service Parts illustration for kit contents. Installation When performing the following installation procedures, be cautious not to scratch painted surfaces (fender, tank, etc.) with metal seat tabs or tools. 1. Remove left saddlebag from motorcycle. Save all hardware for reinstallation. Remove existing grab strap from left side of vehicle by removing bolt and forward saddlebag mounting bracket. Note the mounting orientation of the grab strap, saddlebag mounting bracket and hardware for installation of the new grab strap. 2. Secure new grab strap to left side of vehicle by reassembling forward saddlebag mounting bracket and bolt to vehicle in same orientation as they were removed. Tighten bolt enough to hold assembly in place. 3. Remove screw (with lockwasher) and nylon flat washer from rear of passenger pillion. Pull pillion rearward to remove pillion from motorcycle. Retain screw (with lockwasher) and nylon washer. 4. Remove rear bracket from pillion by removing two bolts. Install rear bracket with bolts on new seat. 5. Remove seat mounting studs securing rider seat to fender. Remove seat from motorcycle. 6. Install new seat making certain that bracket on front of seat fully engages into seat mounting tab on frame. 7. Secure seat onto rear fender using nylon washer and screw (with lockwasher) removed in step 3. After installing seat, pull upward on front of seat to be sure it is in locked position. While riding, a loose seat can shift causing loss of control, which could result in death or serious injury. (00070a) 8. Remove right saddlebag from motorcycle. Save all hardware for reinstallation. Remove existing grab strap from right side of vehicle by removing bolt and forward saddlebag mounting bracket. Note the mounting orientation of the grab strap, saddlebag mounting bracket and hardware for installation of the new grab strap

INSTALLATION NOTES The shorter axle-nut cover mounts to the right side of the motorcycle. Axles that have been removed for service, replacement or repair may have been assembled in reverse orientation from their stock design. Axle-nut covers may not fit properly on reversed axles. Refer to the appropriate Service Manual for correct axle orientation. 1. Adjust the position of the exhaust system (if necessary) to provide axle-nut clearance. 2. Position each axle-nut cover over the appropriate axle nut. 3. The skull version nut covers have two set screws per cover. Position the logo and snug up one set screw to hold in place and the other to prevent rotation. 4. Tighten the axle-nut cover set screws to 70 in-lb (7.9 Nm) . NOTE The set screws in this kit are treated with a thread-locking compound. When replacing or re-installing the set screws (2), apply Loctite® 243 (Blue) Threadlocker and Sealant (Harley- Davidson Part Number 99642-97) to the set screw threads. SERVICE PARTS
