1. Vehicle preparation a. Shut off the fuel flow to the carburetor at the fuel petcock b. Tilt / rotate the quad over on it’s side so that the clutch cover is up for easy access. 2. Disassemble the old clutch a. Using a 10mm wrench remove the four bolts holding the clutch slave cylinder to the clutch cap. b. You can now remove the entire clutch lever / master cylinder, line and slave from the vehicle, although it would be easier to do at a later time when the vehicle is back resting with four wheels on the ground. c. Using a medium flat blade screwdriver, remove the clutch cap retaining ring and pull off the clutch cap. d. Place the throw out bearing and push rod aside as they will be needed later. e. Using a 4mm hex key, remove the six bolts holding the spring plate and springs. The spring plate will be required for auto clutch installation. f. With a 6mm hex key remove the clutch center bolt, and remove the entire clutch assembly and washers, leaving only the basket in place. The pressure plate (hub) will be required for auto clutch installation. 3. Clutch cover removal to replace thrust washer & eliminate oil shield a. Remove the water pump impeller cover (four socket head cap screws with 4mm hex key). b. Remove the water pump impeller (4mm hex key with piston stop or use an impact driver) c. Remove the kick lever (10mm wrench) d. Remove the clutch cover (5mm hex key)

1. DISCONNECT AND REMOVE THE BATTERY 2. DRAIN FLUIDS: The transmission and primary drive oils need to be completely drained. Refer to the H-D® Factory Service Manual. 3. ELEVATE THE REAR WHEEL off the ground by positioning the bike on a suitable jack or bike lift. The motorcycle will remain in this position until the transformation from Page 9 to Page 20 is complete. So make sure it is safe, stable and there is 5-feet- or-so of peripheral room to move about. 4. DISASSEMBLE: Remove the transmission, seat, primary drive housing, clutch components, rear tire, swing arm, swing arm jounce bumper, exhaust pipes, and fender. Refer to the factory service manual. Also, remove the rear brake caliper and brake line all the way up to the rear master cylinder. The primary drive components will be reinstalled as a part of the BAKER 300™ transformation. All the other components can be set aside and sold on Ebay® or your local swap meet. FIGURE 1 NOTE: Starter and transmission can be removed without removing oil tank via the left side of the motorcycle. 5. CUTTING FENDER SUPPORTS: The fender struts must be removed in order for the new BAKER 300TM fender to fit. Bolt into place the fender support cutting templates (marked L for left and R for right and provided in the kit) to the sides of the frame by using the bolts from the support covers. L and R must face out for correct template orientation FIGURE 2 . Use a reciprocating saw (aka sawzall) or abrasive cutoff wheel to remove the supports as shown in FIGURE 2 . With a large flat file, break (smooth off) all sharp corners and edges. The resultant bare metal will not be visible once the BAKER 300™ fender is installed. CHECK NEWLY CUT FRAME FOR FENDER FITMENT AT THIS POINT BEFORE PROCEEDING. Additional material may need to be removed for proper fitment. 6. As an anti-corrosion measure, paint the exposed bare metal with primer and/or paint.

Removal of Original Parts a. Disconnect the battery. b. Secure and raise the motorcycle 9 to 10 inches using a quality motorcycle lift. c. Remove the following from the vehicle. See OEM manual for detailed instructions. Items to be retained for re-installation after modification are noted. • Rider’s Seat (to be re-installed without modification) • Passenger Seat (to be reinstalled without modification) NOTE: OEM front / rear seat mount bracket and rear seat mounting bolt to be retained and reused. • Passenger Back Rest w/ Mounting Rails (to be re-installed without modification) NOTE: Back rest to mounting rail hardware to be reused. Mount rail to vehicle frame not to be reused. • Left and right passenger foot rests (to be re-installed without modification) • Drive Pulley / Belt cover (to be re-installed without modification) • Mufflers (to be re-installed and relocated with minor modification) • Rear Fender (complete w/ sub frame and all attaching parts) NOTE: Upper Forward Fender Mounting Bolt to be retained and reinstalled. • Shock Absorber to Swing Arm Mounting Bolt (to be re-installed) • Swing Arm and Rear Wheel (complete w/ all attaching parts) NOTE: Swing Arm Pivot Bolt, washer and nut to be retained and reinstalled. • Brake Line to Rear Master Cylinder • Drive Belt Core Return There are NO core return parts for this model. nstallation of Champion Trike Conversion Kit 4.1 Install Drive Belt a. Install supplied drive belt to transmission output pulley. (Refer to OEM manual) Figure 1 b. Drive belt cover to be reinstalled later. 4.2 Install Champion Swing Arm a. Install Champion Swing Arm to vehicle using the OEM pivot bolt, washer and nut. Figure 2 b. Attach OEM shock absorber to swing arm using OEM hardware. c. Torque pivot bolt nut to 90 lb. ft. d. Torque lower shock hardware to 43 lb. ft. 4.3 Install Rear Drive Assembly a. Install tension bolts and jam nuts to adjuster plates. Figure 3 Qty per Assm Spec Description 2 M10 x 1.25 x 70 Hex Head Bolt 2 M10 x 1.25 Hex Nut b. Install adjuster plates to rear drive pinch blocks. Hardware installs from inboard to outboard side. Snug, but do not tighten hardware at this time. Figure 4

if this is a master cylinder cover replacement, start with step 1. If this is new installation for a hydraulic clutch kit, go to step 3. D.O.T. 4 brake fluid will damage painted and body panel surfaces it comes in contact with. Always use caution and protect surfaces from spills whenever brake work is performed. Failure to comply can result in cosmetic damage. (00239b) 1. Clean front master cylinder cover, then remove the two screws that hold the cover in place. 2. Remove the original cover (with sight glass) and gasket. 3. Put new cover and gasket in position. 4. See Service Parts illustration. Install the new cover screws (1) and tighten to 6-8 in-lbs (.7-.9 Nm). Direct contact of D.O.T. 4 brake fluid with eyes can cause irritation. Avoid eye contact. In case of eye contact flush with large amounts of water and get medical attention. Swallowing large amounts of D.O.T. 4 brake fluid can cause digestive discomfort. If swallowed, obtain medical attention. Use in well ventilated area. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. (00240a) NOTE The cover is lab led for D.O.T. 4 brake fluid. Install this cover on reservoirs filled only with D.O.T. 4 brake fluid. Do not mix grades of brake fluid. as they are not compatible and could cause equipment damage. 1 To remove your stock lever, use a 19mm wrench or (adjustable wrench) to remove the large sheet metal nut attached to the main pivot bolt that holds the lever. (Photo 1a) Once the locknut is removed, push the main pivot bolt out with your finger or if necessary tap lightly with a rubber mallet or plastic handle end of a screwdriver (Photo 1b) After the pivot bolt is removed, the lever will detach from the master cylinder. (Photo 1c) 1a See other side for further instructions INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR PART # CRC552 ® C/5 Sport Clutch Lever Part # CRC552 1b 1c INSTRUCTIONS_CRC552 12/27/07 10:05 AM 23 4 2 Included with your ASV lever is a plastic bag that contains a custom pivot bolt, spacer & locknut. These parts will replace the OEM Brembo parts that were used with your stock lever. 3 Carefully place the lever into the master cylinder while aligning the plunger rod into the plunger cup on your ASV lever as shown in photo 3. 4 Align the lever and the master cylinder pivot bolt holes and Install the main pivot bolt, you will need to pre-load the lever into the master cylinder to get the bolt through the holes. The bolt head has two cut outs on the sides that need to be aligned with the matching area on the master cylinder. Be sure the head of the bolt seats down into the slotted area of the master cylinder. It may be necessary to use a rubber mallet or Plastic end of a screwdriver (Photo 4) to tap the head of the bolt down into its slot. 5 On the other side of the pivot bolt where the threads are, you will see that there is space around the pivot bolt. You will need to install the aluminum spacer that was supplied in the plastic bag with the pivot bolt and locknut. The spacer has a small flange on one side. The flange should be on the outer side when installing it into the hole surrounding the bolt. (Photo 5a) You may need to use pressure to seat the spacer fully into the hole surrounding the pivot bolt. You should be able to do this by using your fingers or thumbs as shown in photo 5b.

1. Remove factory brake hoses, noting routing. Cap off master cylinder and caliper ports. 2. Install straight-bent banjo ends of Russell Left and Right hoses onto their respective calipers. Use factory single-banjo bolt from master cylinder to install Right hose onto caliper (See Fig. 1) . 3. Route hoses up through factory wire retainers to master cylinder (See Fig. 2, view from top). Use factory double-banjo bolt to install hoses onto master cylinder. Side-bent banjo of Right hose goes next to master cylinder, points toward center of bike, and rests against stop. Orient Left hose banjo so that hose runs parallel to Right hose (See Fig. 3) . 4. Locate hoses to fender using factory plastic clips around grommets on hoses at factory mounting points (See Fig. 4, Right side shown). 5. Check hose clearance throughout entire steering and suspension travel range. 6. Bleed the system and check for leaks while applying pressure
