Please read and understand these instructions completely before installation to avoid injury or damage to the motorcycle or accessory. IMPORTANT: Dealer installation is recommended. The installer should have the service manual for the motorcycle , as well as a good understanding of motorcycle service and repair techniques. Preparation: a) Before installation, lubricate cable with an appropriate cable lube such as Motion Pro Cable Lubricant (P/N 15-0002) b) Securely place motorcycle on side stand 3. Install the accessory cable in the same way. If unsure or original cable routing, refer to the cable routing diagram in the service manual. WARNING ∞ Before starting the engine, be sure the throttle operates smoothly and check that throttle body is fully closed when throttle is released ∞ After starting the engine, turn the handlebar to the right and to the left to be sure the throttle operation is not affected ∞ Improper installation could result in great bodily injury or death 4. Installation A Service Manual for your motorcycle is available at your Harley-Davidson Dealer. 1. See Figure 1. Position the motorcycle on a straight and level surface. While the bike rests on the Jiffy Stand, straighten the front wheel and place the frame leveling extrusion under the front tire to keep the tire straight. 2. Slide the motorcycle lift (fully lowered) under the bike from the right side (opposite jiffy stand side) lining up the frame rails with each of the perpendicular jacking rails on the lift. When properly aligned, the left frame rail will be approximately 1″ from the lift end section (Figure 2) and lift base will be adjacent to the Jiffy Stand (Figure 3). This will allow bike to be centered when moved to an upright position

INSTALLATION 1. See Figure 1. Position a footpeg mount (3) and clamp (1) on the engine guard. Position the footpeg mount (3) to allow the footpegs to fasten on the inboard side of the engine guard. 2. Apply LOCTITE® 243 (blue) to two screws (4). 3. Use the screws from Step 2 to fasten the footpeg mount in a comfortable location on the engine guard. Tighten screws to 14 ft-lbs (19 Nm) . 4. Install a footpeg, sold separately, using the spring washer (2), and bolt and locknut (from kit 94133-01). Position the spring washer inside the footpeg mount with the square edge toward the inside of the mount. Tighten locknut to 19 ft-lbs (26 Nm) . 5. Repeat Steps 1-4 on the other side of the motorcycle. SERVICE PARTS

Lubrication It is important to lubricate rotating or sliding parts during assembly to minimize wear during initial operation. Lubrication points are called out throughout this manual, apply the specific oil or grease as specified. Direction of Engine Rotation When rotating the crankshaft by hand, the free play amount of rotating direction will affect the adjustment. Rotate the crankshaft to positive direction (clockwise viewed from output side). Electrical Wires A two-color wire is identified first by the primary color and then the stripe color. Unless instructed otherwise, electrical wires must be connected to those of the same color. Instrument Use a meter that has enough accuracy for an accurate measurement. Follow the Transmission & Crankshaft section of your Victory motorcycle service manual for disassembling your Victory engine. 2-Your new S&S crankshaft and connecting rods will require assembly. S&S connecting rods aremachined to use the Orange Victory® rod bearings that are included in the kit (Bearing P/N 3514390-159). Perform rod bearing clearance inspection as follows: A-Wash or clean all of the following components: crankshaft crankpin, rods and rod bores, bearing inserts. B-Place a strip of Plastigauge®across the width of the crankpin. NOTE: Green Plastigauge (.001-.003″) is commonly used for this procedure, it can be purchased at the local automotive parts store. Do not place Plastigauge across oil holes. Be careful not to allow the rods to move during the rest of the inspection procedure. C-Mark the rod and cap at the separation line with a Sharpie®, Dykem®, or permanent marker to prevent rod caps from getting swapped from their original rod during the inspection and assembly process. D-Install connecting rods and bearing caps in the same order they were received. E-Torque rod bolts to 5 ft-lbs to seat caps. Then final torque bolts to 40 ft-lbs. F-Remove bearing caps carefully to prevent disturbing the Plastigauge®. G-Measure the widest part of the crushed Plastigauge to determine the rod bearing clearance. Do so by using the bands provided on the Plastigauge label. See Picture 3. H-Specification for oil clearance is: .00091″-.00279″ l If the resultant clearance is less than this specification, the bearings will need to be replaced with the thinner black color coded bearings, not available through S&S (Victory®P/N 3514390-067). l If the resultant clearance is greater than the specification, the bearings will need to be replaced with the thicker blue color coded bearings, not available through S&S (VictoryP/N 3514390-027). l If clearance is not within specification, clean old Plastigauge off components and reassemble rods to crankpin with a new strip of Plastigauge and the thinner or thicker bearings as determined above

A.) REAR WHEEL REMOVAL- PAGE 14-16 Triumph Motorcycle Service Manual 1.) Support motorcycle on center stand or center lift so rear wheel is suspended and there is clearance for removal. Use tie downs. 2.) If both wheels are raised chock the front wheel to prevent any weight shift when rear wheel is removed. 3.) Remove chain guard. 4.) Remove caliper and support so there is no strain on the brake line. 5.) Remove both silencers from exhaust headers. 6.) Remove axle nut and washer—support or chock rear wheel—and slide out axle. 7.) Disengage chain from sprocket and hang over swing—use soft cloth to protect swing arm from scratches that will occur if you do not cover. 8.) Lower wheel to the ground and collect spacer and caliper support arm and all fasteners for re-assembly. B.) REMOVE SEAT PAGE 15-9 Triumph Motorcycle Service Manual 1.) Remove the 12 mm bolt from rear seat section—if you have a pillion pad remove it first by removing the 8 mm bolt, slide forward and lift free of seat catch. Take a position where you can see what you are doing or you will scratch your painted surface. 2.) Lift seat from the rear and slide backwards to disengage tongue– collect all fasteners for re-assembly. C.) REMOVE REAR MUD GUARD PAGE 15-14 Triumph Motorcycle Service Manual 1.) Disconnect battery and remove from motorcycle. 2.) Disconnect electrical connectors on the underside of the mudguard. 3.) Support fender from beneath and remove the 4 side allen head mount bolts and 2 12mm hex head top front mount bolts– collect all fasteners for re-assembly. D.) REMOVE FUEL TANK PAGE 9-11 Triumph Motorcycle Service Manual 1.) Turn off fuel tap. 2.) Remove fuel line at the tap connection. 3.) Remove the 12mm rear tank-mounting bolt. 4.) With assistance from another set of hands support tank at the rear and lift so that the breather line is visible on the right side of the underside of tank—remove and plug line. 5.) With tank raised and supported at the rear slide backwards— disengaging it from the front mounting rubbers—set tank aside in a safe place to prevent any damage to the painted surface. E.) REMOVE SIDE COVERS PAGE 15-10 and 9-15 Triumph Motorcycle Service Manual 1.) Loosen and remove left side cover screws on the air filter facade— lift slightly to disengage top mounts and remove—set aside in a safe place to prevent damage to painted surface. 2.) On right side cover simply and gently pull bayonet fittings from rubber slip mounts. 3.) Secure these rubber mounts and remove for later re-assembly with the Bonneville Performance brackets.
