turn the ignition OFF and disconnect the vehicle’s negative battery cable. NOTE: FAILURE TO FOLLOW INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS AND NOT USING THE PROVIDED HARDWARE MAY DAMAGE THE INTAKE TUBE, THROTTLE BODY AND ENGINE. 2. Depress the locking tab and remove the mass air sensor connector. Remove the clips that secure the mass air sensor har- ness to the stock air box. 3. Pull the vacuum switching valve and bracket assembly from the stock intake tube. Un-clip the vacuum hose from the stock intake tube. 4. Loosen the spring clamp that secures
the crank case vent tube to the stock intake tube as shown. Remove the crank case vent tube from the stock intake tube. Note: The spring clamp will be re-used. 5. Loosen the hose clamp that secures the stock intake tube to the throttle body as shown. Remove the stock intake tube from the throttle body

INSTALLATION Install Docking Point Kit Install the docking point kit following the instructions in that kit. Passenger Upright Installation 1. See Figure 1. Stand behind the motorcycle, and place (10) the front upright notches (2) into the front docking points (3). 2. See Figure 2. Check for correct notch engagement. NOTE Failure to correctly engage the sideplate notches to the docking points may result in damage to the docking points. 3. See Figure 1. Pull (11) the rotary latches (4) into a rearward position. Align the latches over the rear docking points (7), making sure the latches and rear notches (6) fit into the neck (8) of the rear docking points. NOTE This may require some gentle squeezing or spreading of the upright sideplates. 4. Push downward (12) on the side plates and close the rotary latches by rotating the latch levers as far forward as they will go (13). A click will be heard when the latch is in place. If the latch does not close, do not force it.

Kit Contents See Figure 5 and Table 1. INSTALLATION Sissy Bar Installation to Sideplates 1. See Figure 5. Insert the legs of the sissy bar upright (A) all the way into the channels (B) of the sideplates (1 and 2) as shown. 2. Apply a few drops of Loctite 262 – Red to the threads of the button head screws (4). Thread the screws into the holes in the sideplate channels, and tighten to 96-120 in-lbs (11-14 N-m) . While standing behind the motorcycle, place the left-side and right-side front sideplate notches (2) into the front docking points (4) on the fender supports (3). See Figure 2 for views of correct and incorrect sideplate engagement. This kit is designed to fit 1986 and later Softail, 1991 and later Dyna, and 1986 and later XL model motorcycles, except models with luggage racks or Bobtail style fenders1. Remove license plate and bracket from fender. Save all hardware for reinstallation. 2. Remove license plate from license plate bracket. Save all hardware for reinstallation. 3. See Figure 1. Slip nylon “slip” (1) on fender pouch (2) over license plate bracket post (3). 4. Remove adhesive backing and place anti-abrasion tape (4) onto the fender where the pouch will make contact with the fender. Press firmly into place. The anti- abrasion tape, H-D Part Number 64269-04 is a serviceable item and can be purchased from your Harley-Davidson dealer. NOTE Failure to use anti-abrasion tape may result in scratches to the fender. 5. Reinstall license plate on license plate bracket. 6. Reinstall license plate bracket, with fender pouch nylon mount tab in between license plate bracket and fender, as shown

RAPID PULSE HORN OR LIGHTING MODULATOR INSTALLATION MANUAL

this module will pulse any horn, headlight or tail light at the rate of 7 times per second. 1. Find a suitable mounting location. Clean the mounting surface thoroughly using rubbing alcohol, peel the adhesive backing and press the module firmly in place. 2. Connect the black wire to the frame or other suitable ground. (NOTE: Failure to achieve a good ground will ruin the module Immediately and void the warranty!) 3. At any point that is convenient cut or disconnect the power wire to the light or horn(s). Connect the green wire to the wire going to the light, horn(s) or wire going to it. 4. Connect the red wire to the power wire coming from the motorcycle. 5. To bypass or turn the modulator off (in some states it is not legal to use a headlight modulator at night or at all, check your state laws) install an on/off switch between the red and green wires. When the switch is in the on position the electricity to the light or horn(s) will bypass the module and the light or horn(s) will not pulse.
