INSTALLATION 1. See Figure 1. Insert a standard screwdriver tip into the pry notch (3) on a stock turn signal lens to pry the lens from the bullet-style turn signal housing (4). 2. Position the chrome trim turn signal lens (1 or 2) over the turn signal housing with the pry tab positioned at the bottom of the lens (shown in top position for clarity). NOTE Press on the outer edges of the lens, not on the chrome trim ring around the lens, until the lens snaps into the housing. 3. Press the lens into the turn signal housing (4). 3 2 4 1 5 is01847 1. INSTALLATION 1. Remove all articles from inside, then thoroughly wash and dry the saddlebag lid. 2. Close the saddlebag lid. Cut a piece of masking tape at least 10 inches (25 cm) long and lay it lengthwise down the center of the top outer surface of the lid starting at the front. Mark a line lengthwise down the tape, measuring an equal distance from each side so the line is centered on the lid. 3. Obtain the template (7) from the kit, and position it on the line, with the short leg held against the front surface of the lid. Carefully mark the tape at the two arrows, then remove the template and set it aside. 4. At each of the marks made in Step 3, carefully drill a 1/8 inch (3 mm) diameter pilot hole. 5. Using the pilot holes drilled in Step 4, use a 9/32 inch (7 mm) diameter bit to finish drilling the holes for the trim piece. NOTES Before installing the lid trim, test fit to ensure adequate clearance of both mounting pads through the drilled holes in the saddlebag lid. The trim pieces are side-specific; the front legs are angled to match the lid front. If the pads do not fit loosely in the holes, it may be necessary to slightly enlarge the holes to provide clearance and maintain proper alignment of the trim on the lid. Clean the saddlebag lid inside and out, and the inside of the saddlebag with a soft cloth, making sure to remove any shavings left from drilling. 6. Obtain the correct saddlebag lid trim (1 or 2) and a trim gasket (3) from the kit. Peel the liner from the adhesive backing of the gasket. 7. Position the gasket onto the bottom surface of the trim, making sure the gasket remains inside the outer edges of the trim, and smooth it into place. 8. Obtain a pan head screw (6) from the kit. 9. Using a T25 TORX® drive head, start the screw part way into one of the holes on the underside of the trim, to form a few threads in the hole, then back the screw out of the hole. Repeat for the second hole. 10. Install the trim piece onto the lid, fitting the mounting pads into the holes drilled in Step 5. 11. Place a flat washer (5) from the kit onto the threads of the screw (6), followed by a rubber washer (4). Place two drops of Loctite® 243 (blue) onto the screw threads. 12. While supporting the lid trim in place, open the saddlebag lid and install the washers and screw through the lid into one of the trim mounting pads, finger tight. Repeat for the remaining trim mounting pad, with another screw, flat washer and rubber washer. 13. Apply a small amount of pressure to the trim piece above each screw and continue to tighten both screws to 25-28 in-lbs (2.8-3.2 Nm) . 14. Repeat steps 1 through 13 for the opposite saddlebag lid

This kit is designed for installation on 1996 and later FLHT, FLHTC, FLHTCU AND FLHTCU/I Model Motorcycles. Installation 1. Align each of the sewn-in pockets on the fairing bra with each of the outer edges of the fairing at handlebar level. 2. See Figure 1. Standing in front of the vehicle, remove the three T27 Torx screws (1) with washers securing the windshield along the front of the fairing. NOTE In the following Step, the Chrome Windshield Strip (purchased separately) , will serve as a mounting bracket for the fairing bra 3. Obtain the Chrome Windshield Strip (P/N 59213-96) and screws supplied with strip. While aligning holes in the chrome strip over the bra, install the new screws with washers through the strip and bra, then tighten securely into the windshield. 4. The six straps (three on each side near the bottom) will be captured between the inner and outer fairing. Refer to Figure 1. Remove the four screws (2) from the inner fairing. NOTE: The bottom two screws are below the fairing cap. Save screws for installation. Separate the inner and outer fairings just enough to install the straps into the fairing. Adjust the straps, then reinstall the screws and tighten securely. 5. Remove the Phillips screw located at the bottom of the headlamp trim ring. Save screw for installation 6. See Figure 2. Orient the elastic portion of the bra around the headlamp, however in front of, the retaining ring as shown. 7. Install the bottom elastic strap below the fairing seal under the headlamp. 8. Install the headlamp trim ring using the Phillips screw removed in Step 5.

1. The shock mounts with the hose towards the rear of the machine, with the shock body at the top and the shaft pointing downward. 2. Take the inside half of the bushing set on the shock eye (at the shaft end) and place it on the mounting post on the drive hub. 3. Insert the body eye into the mounting channel on the frame. In some cases the channel may have to be spread slightly to fit the bushing set. NOTE; Do not try to install the shock with only half of the bushings, as this will lead to poor performance and premature seal leakage. For the same reasons, do not grind or file the inner or outer edges of the bushings to make them narrower. The amount of “float” in the bushing set is necessary to ensure smooth operation of the damper assembly. 4. Slide the shaft end of the shock over the mounting post. If it does not easily align with the bushing in place, the eye (and shaft and spring, etc.) can be rotated to fit. 5. Install the outer shock eye bushing and follow with the washer and nut. Install the upper shock mounting bolt and nut finger tight. 6. Position the reservoir under the frame rail below the seat. It will fit neatly between– and inside– of the stock luggage rack mounts. Let the reservoir dangle and put the hose clamps loosely in position over the frame tube. NOTE: The reservoir should be mounted so that the hose has a slight curve in it. This will allow a certain amount of movement at the shock body without putting pressure on the hose fittings at the shock. 6. Position the reservoir inside the hose clamps with the rubber stand-off pads between the reservoir and the frame. The hose clamps should be fitted on either side of the Allen bolt that attaches the tail section to the frame. They can placed at any point along the O.D. of the reservoir, but about 1/2″ from each end is typical. The stand-off pads should be at the same location on the reservoir as the clamps. Tighten the clamps snugly. Do not over-tighten the clamps, as this can cause them to break during temperature extremes. 7. Sparingly apply a thread locking compound to the threads on the shock mounting fasteners and tighten them to 28 to 32 lbs/ft. Over-tightening the fasteners can damage the bushings and cause
