These Backrest Pad kits are designed for installation on 1984 and later models equipped with a sissy bar sideplate kit in combination with a Short Rail upright kit, Part No. 52737-94 or 52728-95. The 52513-94 Backrest Pad kit is only for models equipped with Badlander seats and one of the following Mini Rail upright, kits: 52738-94A, 52744-94 or 51512-02. The 52568-01 Backrest Pad Kit is designed for installation on 2001 FXDWG2 model motorcycles and should be used with mini rail upright part number 52744-94 as well as the right and left stock FXDWG Sideplates or an appropriate detachable sideplate kit. The 52901-01 Backrest Pad Kit is designed for installation on 2002 FXDWG3 model motorcycles and should be used with mini rail upright part number 51512-02 as well as the right and left stock FXDWG Sideplates or an appropriate detachable sideplate kit. Kit Contents See Figure 3 and Table 2. There are no Service Parts available with this kit. INSTALLATION NOTE Figures 1 and 2 show pad being mounted on short upright, Part No. 52737-94, before short upright is mounted on side- plates. The pad may be installed before or after short upright is mounted. 1. See Figure 1. Remove protective film from mounting bracket (1) and attach the mounting bracket with the 1/4- 28 x 3/8 in. screw (2) onto short upright, Part No. 52737- 94 or 52728-95; or onto Mini Rail upright, Part No. 52738- 94 or 52744-94. Check that mounting bracket is parallel with upright and tighten screw to 48-60 in-lbs (5.4-6.8 Nm). 2. See Figure 2. Position backrest pad (1) on the upright. Place mounting plate (2) in position and secure with two chrome screws (3) as shown. Tighten screws to 48-60 in- lbs (5.4-6.8 Nm)

INSTALLATION Passenger Upright Installation 1. See Figure 1. Stand behind the motorcycle, and place (10) the front upright notches (2) into the front docking points (3). 2. See Figure 2. Check for correct notch engagement. NOTE Failure to correctly engage the sideplate notches to the docking points may result in damage to the rear docking points. 3. See Figure 1. Pull (11) the rotary latches (4) back into their rearmost position. Align the latches over the rear docking points (7), making sure the latches and rear notches (6) fit into the neck (8) of the rear docking points. NOTE This may require some gentle squeezing or spreading of the upright sideplates. 4. Push downward (12) on the sideplates, and close the rotary latches by pressing (13) the latch lever as far forward as it will go. A click will be heard when the latch is in place. INSTALLATION 1. See Figure 1. If necessary, cut the plastic rain seal away from the three pre-cut screw holes (D) in the backrest pad (1) to prevent the plastic from catching in the threads. 2. On motorcycles with Detachable Sissy Bar Upright installed: a. Install three long spacers (3) into the pre-cut holes in the backrest pad. b. Position the backrest pad against the sissy bar upright (A). On motorcycles with Detachable Short Passenger Sissy Bar Upright installed: a. Install three long spacers (3) into the pre-cut holes in the backrest pad. b. Position the backrest pad against the detachable short passenger sissy bar upright (B), inserting the three spacers through the slots in the sissy bar tabs (C). On motorcycles with Luggage installed: a. Install three short spacers (4) into the pre-cut holes in the backrest pad. b. Position the backrest pad against the upright (A). 3. Place the mounting bracket (2) against the spacers, so that the holes of the mounting bracket align with the spacers. NOTE To avoid misalignment and cross threading of the screws, start all three screws into the backrest before tightening. 4. Insert a screw (5) from the kit through one of the spacers, and carefully thread it 4-5 turns into the mating hole in the backrest pad. Repeat with the other two screws. DO NOT tighten a screw until all three screws have been started. NOTE Spacers must seat squarely against the mounting bracket. 5. Once all three screws have been carefully started into the three holes of the backrest pad, tighten the screws to 7-10 in-lbs (0.8-1.1 Nm)

Installation 1. Remove previously installed brake pedal cover from motorcycle. 2. Position new brake pedal chrome cover (1) over brake pedal pad (2). Large Brake Pedal 3. Align assembled brake pad (items 1, 2, and 5) from kit to brake pedal and insert and tighten screw (4) through the washer (3), and into the chrome cover (1). 4. Tighten screw to 19 ft-lbs (26 Nm). Small Brake Pedal 5. Align and install new cover and pad. Insert screw (4) through the washer (3), brake pedal and into brake pedal pad (2). 6. Insert the screw (4) and washer (3) into the chrome cover. 7. Tighten screw to 33 in-lbs (2.5 Nm)

INSTALLATION NOTE A Service Manual for your motorcycle is available at your Harley-Davidson Dealer. To enhance the flame pattern, orient the pegs as shown in Figure 1. 1. If replacing shifter peg, remove and discard existing shifter peg. If needed, apply heat with a heat gun to shift lever threads and threads on shifter peg to aid peg removal. If installing heel rest pads, proceed to Step 3. 2. See Figure 1. Using screw (6), attach shifter peg casting (1, 2) to shift lever. Tighten screw to 16.3-19 Nm (12-14 ft-lbs). NOTE Screw (6) has a lock patch to prevent loosening. 3. To install heel rest pads, perform Step 2 to attach the heel rest to the right or left heel rest lever

Models Shifter Peg Kit, Part Number 34689-04 is designed for installation on all model Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Heel Rest Pad Kit, Part Number 34699-04 is designed for installation on all models equipped with a Heel Rest Kit, Part Number 50227-01 or 50236-01. INSTALLATION Shifter Peg 1. Remove and discard the original equipment shifter peg. If needed, use a heat gun to apply heat to the shift lever and shifter peg threads to aid in peg removal. 2. See Figure 1. Using the screw (5), attach the peg (1) and tread (3) assembly to the shift lever. Tighten the screw to 12-14 ft-lbs (16.3-19 Nm). Heel Rests NOTE The chrome heel rest covers are side-specific. For best appearance, install so the HARLEY-DAVIDSON text is above the skull, and the MOTORCYCLES text below . 1. See Figure 1. Using the screws (5), attach the left-side heel rest (1) and tread (3) assembly to the left-side heel rest lever. Tighten the screw to 12-14 ft-lbs (16.3-19 Nm). 2. Repeat for the right-side heel rest (2) and tread assembly
