Step 1: Apply a thin coat of silicone grease to the bottom of the module before mounting the module to its plate in the distributor. Step 2: Slide the three wires from the MODULE, through the grommet, to outside the distributor housing. Put the three wires from the MODULE in the TERMINAL PIN HOUSING: GREEN WIRE in hole #1, BROWN WIRE in hole #2, RED WIRE in hole #3. Plug the three wire harness (PN 29349, not supplied with this kit) into the TERMINAL PIN HOUSING. RED WIRE: Power/voltage for the MODULE. Connect to coil (+) terminal. GREEN WIRE: Ignition trigger. Connect to coil (-) terminal. BROWN WIRE: Ground for the MODULE. Connect to ENGINE BLOCK GROUND. Clean away any grease, oil, and paint from the mounting surface before the connection is made.

THE WASHING PROCESS Allow the motorcycle to cool to the touch. Cool water can damage a hot motorcycle. 1. Pre-Wash: a. Verify the motorcycle is cool to the touch. b. Rinse the motorcycle from the bottom up. c. Verify you have the proper cleaning supplies. d. Spray on Bug Remover and let the product activate while proceeding to the next step. 2. Wheels and Tires: a. Rinse wheel and tire surfaces. b. Apply Wheel and Tire Cleaner. c. Wait one minute after spraying product. d. Clean wheel with a Soft Detailing Pad or Wheel and Spoke Brush. e. Rinse well. 3. The Wash: a. Have two buckets; one for the cleaner and one for rinsing. b. Pour Sunwash into the Harley-Davidson Cleaning Bucket and fill with water. c. Fill the rinsing bucket with clean, plain water. d. Soak the Wash Mitt in the Sunwash solution. e. Wash all surfaces from the top working down. f. Rinse from the bottom up first. g. End with top down rinse. 4. Drying the Motorcycle: a. Use the Soft Drying Towel to dry surfaces of the motorcycle. b. Dampen the towel in clean water. c. Wring out the towel as often as needed and continue until the surface is completely dry. 5. The Polish and Seal : (not applicable for denim paint finishes) Polishing and sealing isn’t just about good looks . A well cared-for motorcycle repels dust, dirt, bugs and dirty water. a. Use Harley Glaze polish and sealant and follow the instructions on the bottle. b. Use Softcloth disposable towels for application. c. A Softcloth or Microfiber detailing cloth is an absolute must for finish buffing. d. In between Harley Glaze applications, use Harley Spray Cleaner and Polish and Harley Gloss to maintain shine and protection of painted and chrome fin- ishes.

INSTALLATION NOTE When removing rear fender reflectors, be careful not to damage fender paint. 1. Carefully remove the rear reflector. Remove any remaining adhesive from the back side of the reflector and any adhesive from the side of the fender. 2. See Service Parts Illustration. Remove the screws, washers, locknuts and clipnuts that attach the fender support cover and fender support to fender. Discard the button head screws but retain the washers (A), locknuts (B,C) and clipnuts (D) for installation. NOTE Prior to performing the following step, obtain a little slack for the turn signal assembly by reaching under the fender and bending open the aluminum tab on the clip securing wiring to fender. 3. Remove the locknut (B) from the turn signal stud (E) and gently remove the turn signal assembly from fender support cover, fender support and fender. Save locknut for installation. The turn signal will remain loosely attached to motorcycle by rear directional wire. 4. Carefully position the side plate between fender support and fender. While holding sideplate in position, line up the screw mounting holes and make sure the turn signal wiring passes through the cutout (slot) in the side plate. Coat threads of screws (1 and 2) from kit with Loctite 243 (blue) (Harley-Davidson part number 99642-97) and install locknut and clipnut, however do not tighten completely. 5. Add Loctite 243 (blue) (Harley-Davidson part number 99642-97) to turn signal stud and install through fender support cover, fender support, side plate and fender. Install locknut and tighten to 8-13 ft-lbs (11-18 Nm). Making sure sideplate remains aligned, return to fender support screws and tighten to 8-13 ft-lbs (11-18 Nm). 6. Reach under fender and position turn signal wiring into tab on clipnut. 7. Obtain reflector (3) from kit. Peel off protective strip backing and firmly press reflector (3) to side plate (4), centering reflector horizontally and vertically. 8. Repeat steps 1 through 7 on opposite side of fender

Passenger Footpeg Components (FLHX) INSTALLATION NOTES • If necessary, remove any paint from counterbore holes of footboard brackets to ease the installation of the pivot pins. • On 2010 and Later Models: The installation height can be adjusted to one of three positions. To install footboards in a new position, remove plastic plugs from holes in rear swingarm bracket as necessary. • On 2009 and Earlier Models: The lowest of the four holes on the frame is not threaded and cannot be used to mount the footboards. 1. See Figure 2. Insert shoulder bolt (9) or (10) through slot in footboard bracket (1). a. 2010 and Later Models: Thread the 5/16 inch shoulder bolt (9) into the lowest hole in the rear swingarm bracket of the frame. b. 2009 and Earlier Models: Thread the 3/8 inch shoulder bolt (10) into the second lowest hole in the rear swingarm bracket of the frame. Tighten the bolts to 48-72 in-lbs (5-8 Nm.) . 2. At the desired height, install the upper screw (2) and lockwasher (3) through footboard bracket (1). Tighten screw to 36-42 ft-lb (49-56 Nm) . 3. Install spring (4) into retaining hole in footboard bracket. Set the ball (5) on top of spring. 4. Position the detent in the bottom of the footboard pan (8 or 12) over ball in footboard bracket. Be sure not to unseat the ball. Press down on footboard pan so the holes of the footboard pan and footboard bracket align. 5. Insert pivot pins (7) through two mounting holes on footboard bracket and into footboard pan. 6. Align footboard insert (6 or 11) in footboard pan. Press insert firmly until the footboard pan tabs are firmly seated in the footboard insert. 7. Fold footboard up and install set screw (13) to secure footboard pad. 8. Pivot footboard assembly up and down to verify proper operation. 9. Repeat all steps for opposite side

Installation When performing the following procedures, be careful not to scratch painted surfaces (fender, tank, etc.) with metal tabs on seat. 1. Remove existing seat from motorcycle. Keep lockwasher and screw. 2. Remove existing grab strap and all attaching hardware. 3. Install new grab strap onto motorcycle at same location old grab strap was removed (re-use existing hardware). 4. On all models, except FXDWG , install existing stock rear bracket onto seat using stock hardware. On FXDWG models, install the new rear bracket, 52152- 97 onto the seat using the stock hardware. 5. Position new seat on motorcycle. Be sure bracket on front of seat fully engages seat mounting tab on frame. NOTE On rear fenders of 1997 -2003 models, a captive nut secured with a plastic retention washer has replaced the previously used weld nut. Do not remove the plastic retention washer unless the captive nut is damaged and must be replaced. The plastic retention washer also prevents seat bracket from contacting paint on fender. Therefore, no nylon washer is required between bracket and fender on 1997 – 2003 models. 1996 DYNA MODELS ONLY Secure seat with stock screw, stock lockwasher and place stock nylon washer between seat bracket and fender. 1997 – 2003 DYNA MODELS Secure seat with stock screw and stock lockwasher.

Step 3: Uninstall stock hoses; be aware of how the stock system was routed in case you need to re-install it. Step 4: Install onto the calipers the Galfer male adapters, the course thread area threads to the caliper with one washer.Torque level is 12 to 13 ft pounds. See Picture C

There are also a total of 6 washers, 4 will be used, and 2 are spares. The Left hose has a locating clip and there is a new bolt to bolt that on. We ALWAYS strongly suggest having a professional mechanic install these brake lines, all other installations VOID warranty. Inspect your brake system after every race. A: Right Caliper B: Please re-use stock routing clip for right line Step 2: Cover the complete front end of the bike so that if any brake fluid does spill the paint will not be damaged, brake fluid will spill, there is no question!! Step 1: Identify the key components that complete our GP kit: You should have 3-line (front kit), 3 SINGLE banjo bolt and 1 C-CLIP. There are also a total of 8 washers. 6 will be used, and 2 are spares. We strongly suggest having a professional mechanic install these brake lines, all other installations VOID warranty. Inspect your brake system after every race. Step 2: Cover the complete front end of the bike so that if any brake fluid does spill the paint will not be damaged, brake fluid will spill, there is no question!! Step 3: Uninstall stock hoses; be aware of how the stock system was routed in case you need to re-install it. Step 4: Install the GALFER GP 3-Line starting with the master cylinder line (top line). Torque level is 12 to 13 ft pounds. (See picture A2) Step 5: Install the C-CLIP provided to the lower triple tee top line needs to be held by c-clip [see picture A4&A5] . Lower lines will travel in front of the forks to the calipers; two single banjo bolt (see picture A1) are included for master cylinder to each caliper. The positioning sequence on the master cylinder is as follows: Master cylinder, washer, forty-degree banjo (Top line), and washer. Single banjo bolt torque level is 12 FT Pounds. ( See picture A2 for positioning) Make sure that the [ CALIPER fittings ] on each caliper are positioned [ positioning ] (see picture A6- A7) . Thread banjo bolt into the caliper, and torque bolt to 12 to 13 Ft pounds. Before you proceed to the next step, please check for clearance of the lines. Compress the front end to make sure that the lines are not binding with anything. When the front end is fully extended or fully compressed, double check that the lines are traveling correctly and are clear of any obstructions. Once the lines have been checked for clearance. Proceed to step #6 Step 6: Bleed brake system according to owner’s manual, and build appropriate pressure. Finishing with GALFER DOT 4-brake fluid is recommended.

HARELY DAVIDSON BOOM! AUDIO TANK POUCH OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS

This kit will work on all Harley-Davidson® motorcycles with a metal fuel tank. Always clean fuel tank before using the Audio Tank Pouch, to prevent trapped dirt from scuffing or scratching paint. Scuffing and fine scratches can be removed using Harley-Davidson® Swirl & Scratch Treatment. •See Figure 1. Flip access flap (3) fully to the front as shown to put media player into the pouch (1). •Remove the cushion from the inside of the pouch. Place the media player face-up on top of the cushion and slide both back into the pouch. Make sure the cushion is under the media player for the best protection. •See Figure 2. Two access holes (2) are available for connecting headphone or speaker connectors (3). •Place the media player and pouch (1) on top of the fuel tank and verify that the magnets are holding the pouch firmly in place. 2 3 1 is06064 1.
