REMOVAL NOTE Complete all removal and installation procedures on one side before performing on the other side. 1. See Figure 1. Remove rear turn signal assembly (2) following the instructions in the service manual. Save all hardware for installation. 2. Remove the upper shock absorber hardware (3) following the instructions in the service manual. Save all hardware for installation. 3. Remove the rear fender support cover (4) following the instructions in the service manual. Save all hardware for installation. INSTALLATION 1. See Figure 1. Install the rear fender support cover (4) with the stock hardware. Tighten finger-tight. 2. Install the rear turn signal assembly (2) following the instructions in the service manual. 3. Install the upper shock absorber hardware (3) following the instructions in the service manual. 4. Remove the rear fender support cover hardware and apply Loctite Threadlocker and Sealant 243 (Blue) to the threads of the screws. Tighten screws to the specifications in the service manual. 5. Thoroughly clean the mounting surface of the fender support cover with an equal mixture of water and isopropyl alcohol. Peel the paper backing from the new reflector and install reflector (1). Press the reflector firmly. Allow AT LEAST 24 hours after applying the reflectors before exposing the areas to vigorous washing, strong water spray or extreme weather

REMOVAL 1. Remove seat according to the instructions in the Service Manual. To prevent accidental vehicle start-up, which could cause death or serious injury, disconnect battery cables (negative (-) cable first) before proceeding. (00307a) Disconnect negative (-) battery cable first. If positive (+) cable should contact ground with negative (-) cable connected, the resulting sparks can cause a battery explosion, which could result in death or serious injury. (00049a) 2. Using a Terminal Pick Tool (1), depress locking tabs and disconnect turn signal connectors (2- place) (2, 3) from circuit board. 5. Feed turn signal wiring and connector through opening in circuit board assembly and into rear wheel area. 6. See Figure 4. Remove turn signal wiring (1, 2) from clips (3) under rear of fender INSTALLATION NOTE Proper installation of kit requires that tasks be completed for one side of the motorcycle first before continuing to the opposite side. Route Turn Signal Wiring Through Rear Fender and Support 1. See Figure 5. Remove three rear screws (1) from fender support (2). 2. Pull fender support away from rear fender to gain access to turn signal mount. 4. Remove stock screw and washer from turn signal mount. 5. See Figure 7. Pull turn signal (B) and turn signal mount (A) away from fender support. 6. Remove turn signal and wires from vehicle by routing turn signal wiring and connector through holes in rear fender and fender support. Gently guide wires through holes to ensure they do not get damaged. Feed Wiring and Install Relocation Bracket 1. See Figure 6. Feed turn signal wiring and connector through middle hole in turn signal relocation bracket and under rear of fender support. 1 is04635 1. Wire harness Figure 6. Wire Harness Routing 2. See Figure 7. Insert stock screw and washer through rear hole of relocation bracket (1) and turn signal mount (A). 3. Thread screw into turn signal (B). Tighten to 12-16 ft-lbs (16.3-21.7 Nm). 4. Align relocation bracket (1) with rear of fender support and install with screw (2) and nut (3) from kit. Tighten nut to 12-16 ft-lbs (16.3-21.7 Nm). Complete Turn Signal Relocation Wiring 1. See Figure 5. Install one rear screw (1) to hold fender support in place while routing wiring. Install screw snugly but do not fully tighten

It is covered by a black dust cap (2) and is at the end of an unconnected 10 inch (254 mm) long harness leg starting near the rear fender, close to the rear lighting connector. Free the siren connector from its constraints. 3. Remove the dust cap from the connector. 4. See Figure 2. Snap the siren (2) into the siren bracket (3) so that the sounder disc (4) fits the notch in the bracket as shown. Connect the siren connector (1) to the siren.

INSTALLATION NOTE Cover the rear fender with a clean shop towel to prevent scratching. Damage to the finish could result. 1. See Figure 1. Remove the four button-head TORX screws attaching the sissy bar (5) to the sideplates (4). Discard the screws 2. Remove the sissy bar and set it aside. For Rigid-Mount Sideplates only: Loosen, but do not remove, the hardware securing the sideplates to the motorcycle. 3. Position the luggage rack between the sideplates. Reinstall the sissy bar into the sideplate channels. 4. Apply Loctite 271 (Red) to the flat head TORX screws (2) from the kit, and insert through the holes in the luggage rack (1), sideplate, and sissy bar. Tighten the screws to 8-10 ft-lbs (10.8-13.6 Nm) . For Rigid-Mount Sideplates only: Apply Loctite 271 (Red) to the screws securing the sideplates to the motorcycle, and tighten to 21-27 ft-lbs (28.5-36.6 Nm) . 5. Remove the backing strip from the two rubber bumpers (3) and install onto the luggage rack. a. Align the notches in the bumper with the bottom edge of the channel on the sideplate. b. Wrap the bumper up the side of the luggage rack channel and across the bottom of the sissy bar. When properly installed the bumpers will cover the lower flat head screws, and will bend around the lower edge of the channel. Do not exceed luggage rack weight capacity. Too much weight can cause loss of control, which could result in death or serious injury. (00373a) NOTE Maximum luggage rack weight capacity is ten pounds (4.5 Kg)

INSTALLATION 1. 1988-1990 models: Remove saddlebag covers from both sides of vehicle. 2. Remove seat mounting bolt(s), one for 1991-later and two for 1988-1990 models. Note hardware sequence for reassembly. 3. Remove seat according to the instructions in the Service Manual. 4. Remove and discard two bolts securing handrail mounting plate to rear fender. NOTE Check nut threads in fender. Some 1994 and later models have coarse threads (5/16-18). Make sure the 5/16-18 x 7/8 in. bolts are used in these applications. Attempting to use fine thread bolts (5/16-24) in coarse holes or coarse thread bolts in fine thread holes will damage threads in holes and on bolts. 5. 1998 and earlier models: See Figure 1. Obtain two 5/16- 24 x 7/8 in. bolts (5) (or 5/16-18 x 7/8 in. bolts on some 1994 and later models). Add one flat washer (6) and one lockwasher (6) to each bolt. 1999 models: Continue with Step 5. These models will not use Items 5 or 6. 6. Position backrest mounting bracket (7), with tab toward front of vehicle, over holes in handrail mounting plate. NOTE See Figure 2. Four holes are provided in each side of backrest mounting bracket for adjustment purposes. Use set of holes best suited for riding position

This kit fits 2006 and later FLHT (Electra Glide®), FLHTC (Electra Glide Classic), FLHX (Street GlideTM) and FLTR (Road Glide®) model motorcycles. INSTALLATION 1. Refer to the Service Manual and follow the instructions given to remove the right-side saddlebag. 2. See Figure 1. Obtain the antenna bracket (5) from the kit. 3. Mount the antenna bracket to the right-side saddlebag rear support bracket (1). In the upper hole (2), use a 5/16-18 x 5/8 in. in. screw and lockwasher from the kit. If NO saddlebag guard (4), use a 5/16-18 x 5/8 in. screw and lockwasher from the kit to attach the antenna bracket to the lower hole (3) in the support bracket. If a saddlebag guard (4) is mounted, remove and discard the original upper rear guard mounting screw. Use the 5/16-18 x 7/8 in. screw and lockwasher from the kit to attach the antenna bracket and guard at the lower hole (3) in the support bracket. 4. Tighten the mounting screws to 19 ft-lbs (26 Nm). 5. FLHX models: Remove and discard the hole plug from the right-side rear fender fascia (ground effects). 6. See Figure 2. Obtain the antenna adapter (4), two set screws (5) and the antenna base (6) from the kit. Thread the set screws part way into the holes in the side of the adapter. Thread the antenna adapter onto the antenna base. 7. Thread one of the 1/2-20 thin nuts (7) from the kit onto the antenna base assembly. Place the large internal tooth lockwasher (8) on the threads of the antenna base and insert the antenna base, from the top, through the hole in the antenna mounting bracket. 8. Install the second 1/2-20 nut on the antenna base threads. Place a wrench on the upper nut and tighten the lower nut to 40 in-lbs (4.5 Nm). 9. FLHX models: Install the CB antenna grommet (Part Number 59778-06, sold separately) into the opening in the right-side rear fender fascia. 10. Thread the loading coil (2) into the top of the antenna adapter

REMOVAL NOTE Refer to owner’s manual or service manual for seat removal instructions for your model. 1. Remove right and left saddlebags according to the instructions in the service manual. Save saddlebag mounting brackets and hardware. 2. Remove passenger seat strap. Discard passenger seat strap. 3. Remove existing seat from vehicle. 4. See Figure 1. Remove and discard stock nuts (2) from studs (1) on rear fender (3). INSTALLATION Install Rider Seat 1. Push front seat on frame with mounting bracket at rear. 2. Firmly push front of seat downward and rearward until frame tongue engages slot in seat. 3. Push seat forward until studs are centered in slots of mounting bracket. 4. See Figure 4. Install two nuts (4) on studs to secure rear seat mounting bracket to rear fender. Alternately tighten nuts to 60-96 in-lbs (6.8-10.9 Nm). 5. If installing a new passenger seat, refer to the instructions included with the kit. After installing seat, pull upward on seat to be sure it is locked in position. While riding, a loose seat can shift causing loss of control, which could result in death or serious injury. (00070b) 6. If installing passenger seat, install passenger seat strap following the instructions in the service manual. 7. DISASSEMBLY NOTE See Figure 1. Saddlebags must be removed to insert spacer (1). 1. Using a small flat head screw driver, remove rear fender tip light lens cover (A) by gently prying cover away from assembly. (There is a notch at top of cover to ease removal.) Remove and retain cover (A) and gasket (C). 2. Remove fender tip light assembly (B) by removing two screws, four star washers, and two nuts (not shown) using a #2 Phillips screw driver and a 3/8 inch wrench. Retain all hardware for reassembly. 3. Remove hole plugs from rearmost fender strut holes on both sides of fender. 4. Mark fender on both sides of bike using rear most fender strut hole as a template. Do not contact tire with drill bit when drilling fender holes. Drill bit contact with tire can lead to premature tire failure, which could result in death or serious injury. (00403f) 5. Carefully remove fender strut and drill a 11/32 inch hole through each side of fender in locations marked in Step 4. 6. Loosely reinstall fender strut (D), allowing enough room to slip spacer (1) between fender (E) and strut. INSTALLATION 1. Align rear fender rail (2) from kit with rearmost fender strut (D) mounting holes, making sure lower mounting tab (3) is inside fender (E). Place large chrome washer (4) from kit next to head of button head socket bolts (5) from kit. Insert bolt through fender rail (2), fender strut (D), spacer (1) and fender (E), in that order. Install large unfinished washer (6) from kit onto end of bolt (5). Secure assembly into place by threading locknuts (7) from kit onto ends of bolts (5) from inside of fender (E). Tighten loosely at this time. 2. Install truss head screw (8) from kit through fender (E) and rear fender rail mounting tab (3). Secure into place using small washer (9) and locknut (10) from kit. Use #2 Phillips screwdriver and a 3/8 inch wrench to tighten rear mounting assembly securely. 3. Tighten fender strut bolts (5) to 21-27 ft-lbs.(28-37 Nm) 4. Reinstall fender tip light assembly (B), gasket (C) and lens (A) using original hardware (not shown)

INSTALLATION NOTE All models for which this kit is designed are equipped with a original equipment (stock) fender rail or bumper. Remove the stock bumper and install the kit rail using following the proce- dures. 1. See Figure 1 and Table 1. Install V-logo (4) to trim rail (1) with hex washer screws (3) and lock washers (2). 2. Reach under rear edge of fender and remove locknut (A) and washer (B). Retain locknut and washer and use to mount new trim rail. 3. Loosen and remove the two screws (C) and locknuts (D) which attach fender rail to saddlebag support bracket. Retain screws (C) and locknuts (D) and use to mount new trim rail. 4. Place new trim rail in position and install washer (B), locknut (A), screws (C) and locknuts (D). 5. Tighten locknut (A) to 45-85 in-lbs (5.0-9.6 Nm) and locknuts (D) to 15-20 ft-lbs (20.3-27.1 Nm) . Removal of Original Parts Secure and raise the motorcycle 9 to 10 inches using a quality motorcycle lift. Remove the following from the vehicle. See OEM manual for detailed instructions. Items to be retained for reinstallation after modification are noted. · Rider’s Seat (to be re-installed without modification) · Passenger Seat (to be reinstalled without modification) NOTE: OEM front and rear seat mounting bolts and brackets to be retained and reused. · Left and right passenger foot rests.
