INSTALLATION To prevent accidental vehicle start-up, which could cause death or serious injury, disconnect negative (-) battery cable before proceeding. (00048a) 1. Refer to the Owner’s Manual and follow the instructions given to remove the seat and disconnect the negative battery cable at the engine crankcase. Retain all seat mounting hardware. 2. Models with mid foot controls: Remove the two screws retaining the left-side rider footrest and mounting bracket assembly. 3. All models: See Figure 1. Note the installed orientation of the transmission foot shift lever to aid in re-assembly. Use a 1/4 in. hex key to remove the socket head screw (5) holding the shift lever (3 or 4) to the transmission shift lever shaft (1). Remove the lever and rubber washer (2). 4 1 5 3 2 5 is 01929 1. Remove and discard the primary cover hex-socket head screws from the four locations shown. 5. Refer to CLUTCH CONTROL: REMOVAL: CLUTCH CABLE-LOWER in the Service Manual to remove the clutch cable at the lower end with these exceptions: •The negative battery cable has already been disconnected, and •On mid-control models, the rider footrest has already been removed. 6. See CLUTCH LEVER AND CLUTCH CABLE-UPPER to remove the clutch cable at the upper end. NOTE Be careful not to scratch the paint on the frame tube when removing the clips. 7. Carefully remove the two vinyl-coated spring steel clips that retain the clutch cable to the frame downtube. 8. Obtain all of the items from the kit. 9. See Figure 2. Insert a chrome screw (3), from the outside, through the hole in location 3 on the chrome trim cover. Place the thinner steel spacer (4) onto the threads of the screw from the inside of the trim cover. 10. Use a 5/32 inch hex key on the screw head, and grip one of the Nylon keeper washers (6) with a pliers. Install the washer onto the screw until several threads extend from the washer, capturing the screw and spacer on the trim cover. 11. Insert the remaining chrome screws, from the outside, through the holes in locations 1, 2 and 4 on the chrome trim cover. Place a thicker steel spacer (5) onto the threads of each screw from the inside of the trim cover. 12. Thread a Nylon keeper washer onto each of the screws as described in Step 10. 13. Position the trim cover over the primary cover with the transmission shift lever shaft extending through the clearance hole (A) in the chrome trim cover. 14. Thread one of the chrome screws into the mating primary cover mounting hole for several threads, taking care not to cross-thread the screw in the hole. 15. Carefully start the remaining screws partially into their mating holes. Continue tightening the screws in turn

REMOVAL NOTE This Instruction Sheet covers several different Harley-Davidson models and years. Be sure to locate and follow the procedures that apply to the motorcycle receiving the new guard. For Models without Lower Fairings 1. Proceed to For All Models section. For Model FLHTCUI (Ultra Classic Electra Glide) with Factory-Installed Lower Fairings 1. Remove the lower fairings following the instructions in the appropriate Service Manual. 2. When the lower fairings have been removed, proceed to For All Models section. For Models FLHR/I (Road King), FLHT (Electra Glide Standard) or FLHTC/I (Electra Glide Classic) with Harley-Davidson Genuine Motor Accessory Lower Fairings 1. See Figure 1. Remove the two black screws (1) that attach the fairing cap (2) to the lower fairing (5). Remove the cap. Set the parts aside for re-installation. 2. Remove the screw (7), rubber washer (8) and locknut (10) and the clamp (9) that attaches the bottom of the lower fairing to the engine guard and set aside. 3. Remove the two locknuts (3), U-bolt (6) and U-bolt retainer (4). 4. Remove the lower fairing by sliding it out from behind the engine guard. 5. Repeat Steps 1 through 4 for the opposite side. 6. Proceed to For All Models section. For Model FLTR/I (Road Glide) with Harley-Davidson Genuine Motor Accessory Lower Fairings Disconnect negative (-) battery cable first. If positive (+) cable should contact ground with negative (-) cable connected, the resulting sparks can cause a battery explosion, which could result in death or serious injury. (00049a) 1. Disconnect the battery, negative (-) battery cable first, following the instructions in the appropriate Service Manual. 2. Remove the seat following the instructions in the appropriate Service Manual. 3. Remove the cable strap holding the clutch cable to the engine guard. 4. See Figure 2. Remove the TORX screw (8), rubber washer (9) and locknut (11) and the clamp (10) that attaches the bottom of the lower fairing (4) to the engine guard and set aside INSTALLATION 1. Hold the engine guard in position, and loosely fasten the top of the guard with the new hex socket screw and flat washer from the kit. 2. Install the bottom brackets to the motorcycle frame with the two new TORX screws and locknuts. 3. Tighten all three screws to 15-20 ft-lbs (20.3-27.1 Nm) . For Model FLHTCUI (Ultra Classic Electra Glide) with Factory-Installed Lower Fairings 1. Install the lower fairings following the instructions in the appropriate Service Manual. For Models FLHR/I (Road King), FLHT (Electra Glide Standard) or FLHTC/I (Electra Glide Classic) with Harley- Davidson Genuine Motor Accessory Lower Fairings 1. Carefully place one lower fairing in position from behind the engine guard. 2. See Figure 1. Install the lower fairing to the top of the new engine guard with the U-bolt (6) from the back, through the holes at the top of the fairing. Install the retainer (4) in position on the U-bolt and secure to the engine guard with the two locknuts (3). Do not tighten the locknuts at this time. 3. Attach the bottom of the fairing to the engine guard with the clamp (9) removed earlier. Install the clamp around the engine guard in the direction shown, with the tabs toward the rear of the vehicle and the flat side of the clamp against the lower fairing. Insert the screw (7) through the lower fairing, rubber washer (8) and clamp (9). Secure the assembly with the locknut (10). Tighten to 12 ft-lbs (16.3 Nm) .

INSTALLATION 1. See Figure 1. From the kit, obtain the left side fairing lower (1), left side fairing lower cap (2), two flange locking nuts (3) and two stud clips (4). Place fairing lower cap in front of the left side engine guard and left side fairing lower behind engine fairing guard. With both pieces in place around engine guard, install the two flange locking nuts onto the studs clips and hand tighten. Repeat procedure for right side fairing lower. 2. Secure bottom of fairing lower to lower engine guard with round clamp (5) from hardware kit. Position clamp around engine guard with tabs toward rear of vehicle and flat side of clamp against fairing lower and with the rubber washer (6) between clamp and engine guard. Place Torx pan screw (7) through fairing lower, rubber washer and clamp. Secure assembly with flanged locknut (8). Repeat for right side fairing lower. Tighten to 144 in-lbs (16.3 Nm). 3. Tighten all left and right side upper flange locking nuts (3) to 72 in-lbs (8.1 Nm). 4. Install left side door assembly glovebox (9) to fairing lower using the attachment cord (10). Insert glovebox door into fairing lower. Repeat for right side fairing lower. NOTE Do not press reflector firmly into place until you have it positioned in desired location. The adhesive is very strong and once it comes in contact with a surface, it will be difficult to remove without damaging the reflector. 5. Peel adhesive strip off back of reflector from kit. Position reflector on side of front fender above chrome side trim strip and approximately 4 inches rearward from front of fender. Press reflector securely into place. Repeat for opposite side reflector

1. Remove the license plate. Remove the license plate holder assembly from the rear fender (three 8mm Allen bolts 5mm wrench). Remove the five 4mm Allen screws underneath the rear fender which secure the taillight/turn signal assembly to the rear fender (3mm wrench). As shown in photo #2, pull the taillight assembly out away from the fender, turn it over, place a towel or rag between the light and fender and allow it to rest on the fender. 2. Locate the supplied triangular license plate mounting block, two 8 x 20mm Allen screws with holes driiled thru and three rubber washers. Place the two Allen screws thru the upper holes in the block and the rubber washers over the screws on the backside of the block. Start the screws into the upper holes on the fender. Use one of the three screws removed earlier from the original mount in the remaining lower hole of the new block sliding the remaining rubber washer between the block and fender. Tighten all three Allen screws secure enough to compress the rubber washers (4-6 ft lbs.). 3. Locate the supplied license plate mounting plate and LED lights. Cut off the excess red and black wires at the end of the black loom or tube. Referring to photo (1) thread the wires of the LED lights thru the small holes in the mounting plate, peel the cover from the adhesive backing on the lights and press them firmly into place as shown. 4. Locate the three supplied ¼” x ½” flat head Allen screws. Hold the plate up to the mounting block installed earlier with the wires at the bottom of the plate. Thread the wires from the LED lights thru the holes in the upper bolts of the block. Install the plate onto the block using the three flat head screws being sure to keep the exposed wire behind he plate as short as possible and fitting into the slot or cut out at the edge of the block. Snug the screws and again check to see tat the wires are in the slot or cut out in the block and do not become pinched as the screws are tightened. Tighten the screws securely. 5. Where the wires from the taillight go thru the fender there is a grommet, pull this grommet out from the fender. Thread the wires from the LED lights thru the grommet with the other wires. Replace the grommet into the fender and remove any slack from the wires under the fender. Cut the LED wires off at 6″ past the grommet.

TRIUMPH ROCKET III SOLO RACK INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. Using the ignition key remove the driver’s seat. Remove the three bolts which secure the passenger seat to the rear fender and remove the passenger seat. 2. Place the lock washers and washers onto the three 6 x 25mm bolts (supplied). Place the solo rack onto the rear fender and align the bolt holes in the fender with the holes in the solo rack. Starting with the two lower holes, place the black plastic spacers (two supplied) between the fender and the solo rack. Next insert two of the bolts with the washers thru the rack and spacers then thread into the fender several turns. At the upper hole place the rubber washer (supplied) between the solo rack and the fender. Insert the remaining bolt with washers thru the solo rack, rubber washer and thread into the fender. Tighten all three bolts securely. 3. Reinstall driver’s seat.

Kawasaki Teryx Dash Frame Installation Manual

The BRP Dash Frame mounts in place of the factory cup holder/storage pocket. Remove the screws holding the cup holder or storage pocket from the back of the dash and remove it. Hold the Dash Frame up on your dash. The top of the frame includes a channel that your dash slips into to provide support. Press the frame firmly up and against the dash. Be sure the frame is centered and straight. Using the frame as your template drill out the two top holes using a 13/64″ drill. Each hole is located at the top corner of the frame. Alternatively, you can mark the location of the holes, then drill them out with the frame removed. Using the smaller button head bolts supplied with this kit, along with the nylock nut and rubber backed washer, mount each of the two top corners of the frame. Use caution when tightening however. The angle of the dash frame is different than the angle of your plastic dash. The two bolts are only needed to snug the frame against your dash. You should only snug the bolt up, but don’t tighten it down. Looking from the back of the dash, you’ll see that the rubber washer does not lay flat against the plastic of the dash. This is correct. Again, these bolts are only to snug the frame against your dash and should not be tightened down. Doing so could damage your dash. The supplied nuts are nylock and will not back off even though the bolt is not tightened.
