1. Find and unplug the O² sensor wires from the wiring harness and remove the ZIPSTRIP holding front O² sensor wires to the frame. Feed the end of the wire through the frame so they are free from the motorcycle. Note: pay attention to wire routing for re-installation. 2. Loosen the heat shield clamps on both the front and rear head pipe to gain easier access to the mounting nuts. 3. Remove the two head pipe mounting nuts from the flange at the heads. 4. Remove the clamp bolts that mounts the rear head pipe to the belt drive cover bracket. 5. Remove the two bolts from each muffler body where they attach to the stock mounting bracket. Carefully remove the exhaust system from the motorcycle and set aside. 6. Using a 7/8″ wrench, carefully remove the O² sensors from the stock head pipes and save for re-use on your RUSH system. 7. Remove the drive belt cover and remove the bracket off the rear cover bolt, bracket will not be re-used. 8. Loosen the brake rod at the rear eyelet using a T-30 torx socket. 9. Remove the three mounting bolts and washers attaching the exhaust mounting bracket. 10. If equipped with mid-controls, remove right side foot peg before installing your new RUSH system.

1. Remove right side Foot peg assembly or Floorboard. (Whichever is applicable to your model.) 2. Remove bolts that are holding muffler at rear mounting bracket. 3. Remove Cables from exhaust valve. 4. Remove O2 Sensor from pipe. 5. Remove the two nuts that secure the rear exhaust header pipe to the rear cylinder head. 6. Remove the two nuts that secure the front exhaust header pipe to the front cylinder head. 7. Remove complete pipe assembly. Hard-Krome Exhaust System Installation NOTE: Take care when fitting this Hard-Krome aftermarket exhaust system on your motorcycle. It has been designed to replace a STOCK exhaust system on a motorcycle with its engine, frame and other components in their STOCK design, configuration and location. WARNING : Re-check and re-tighten ALL fasteners and supports after 50 miles, then re-check and tighten as necessary on a periodic basis to ensure proper operation and performance. NOTE: All fasteners should be loose during initial installation to ensure proper fit and location of the new exhaust system. 1. Install new exhaust gaskets. 2. Install mounting bracket using Bolts with flat & lock washers. (See Illustration) 3. Install O2 Sensor onto front pipe and install front pipe onto front cylinder, taking care to not scratch chrome surfaces on pipe, engine or motorcycle. 4. Install the two nuts to secure the flange that holds the exhaust header pipe to the front cylinder head — DO NOT TIGHTEN NUTS! 5. Install 3/8-16 Square nut into each slotted bracket of front pipe and start the 3/8-16×3/4″ Bolt with flat & lock washer through backside of mounting bracket. — DO NOT TIGHTEN BOLTS! 6. Carefully install rear pipe onto rear cylinder. 7. Install the two nuts to secure the flange that holds the exhaust header pipe to the rear cylinder head — (Remove chrome plastic valve cover to access top nut) — DO NOT TIGHTEN NUTS! 8. Install 3/8-16 Square nut into each slotted bracket of rear pipe and start the 3/8-16×3/4″ Bolt with flat & lock washer through backside of mounting bracket. — DO NOT TIGHTEN BOLTS! 9. Tighten the two bolts that secure the rear exhaust header pipe flange. 10. Tighten the two bolts that secure the front exhaust header pipe flange. 11. Tighten front pipe bolts at mounting bracket. 12. Tighten rear pipe bolts at mounting bracket. 13. Reinstall foot peg assembly or floorboard. 14. If applicable to your model install foot peg relocating brackets and foot pegs as shown in illustration.

Remove bolts that are holding mufflers at rear mounting bracket. 5. Remove mufflers. 6. Remove the two nuts that secure the rear exhaust header pipe to the rear cylinder head. 7. Remove rear pipe assembly. 8. Remove the two nuts that secure the front exhaust header pipe to the front cylinder head. 9. Remove front pipe assembly. Hard-Krome Exhaust System Installation

Note: Read instructions thoroughly before installing. 1. Place bike on center stand. 2. Remove the two bolts that hold the stock left side foot peg bracket and remove bracket and foot peg. 2.2. 2 3. Install shifter slot over shifter peg. 4. With the longer bolts supplied, sandwich the Heel Toe Shifter plate between the frame and chrome bracket provided. 4. 5. Screw in bolts and secure tightly. Double check the tightness per service manual. 6. Replace stock peg with the driver board provided. 7. Install driver board with hardware provided. 8. Right side. Remove stock bracket and peg. Replace with chrome bracket and floorboard with stock bolts.

1. Unplug the horn wires. 2. Unbolt the left side foot peg bracket assembly and save the hardware, the stock bolts will be used to install your new Cobra floorboards. 3. Remove horn and the shift lever from the stock mount and install onto the new Cobra mount the same way they were on the stock mounts. Install the 8mm acorn nut on the exposed threads from the shift lever bolt. 4. Bolt the Cobra floorboards to the motorcycle using the stock bolts and torque to factory specifications. Note: Make sure shift lever operates properly and that there is adequate clearance. Right Side 1. Remove chrome cover from the top of the rear brake master cylinder by removing the two nuts on top. 2. Remove brake lever return spring and the stop light switch spring. 3. Remove rubber plug from the center of the brake lever pivot bolt then remove the bolt. 4. Remove the two bolts that hold the master cylinder and brake light switch/chrome cover mount. 5. Unbolt the right side foot peg bracket by removing the two stock 10mm bolts and save the hardware, the stock bolts will be used to install your new Cobra floorboards. Note: look at the placement of the large spacers behind the foot peg bracket they will need to be re-installed in the same position. Also note the nut on the inside of frame rail for lower bolt. 6. Install the Cobra floorboard using the stock bolts and spacers removed in previous step. 7. Remount the master cylinder and brake light switch/chrome cover mount removed in step 4 the same way it was on the stock mount bracket, reuse stock hardware. 8. Install the brake lever using the stock pivot bolt & rubber plug that was removed in step 3

Left Side 1. Unplug the horn wires. 2. Unbolt the left side foot peg bracket assembly and save the hardware, the stock bolts will be used to install your new Cobra floorboards. 3. Remove horn and the shift lever from the stock mount and install onto the new Cobra mount the same way they were on the stock mounts. Install the 8mm acorn nut on the exposed threads from the shift lever bolt. 4. Bolt the Cobra floorboards to the motorcycle using the stock bolts and torque to factory specifications. Throttle twist grip. On right handlebar. Twist Inwards to open. When fully closed engine should just idle when hot. Air lever. Small lever on right handlebar Pull Inwards to Increase air supply to carburetter. Once set, when engine has warmed up, requires no alteration for different road speeds. Should be fully closed when starting engine from cold, Ignition lever. When fitted. Small lever on left handlebar. Advances and retards ignition point. Pull Inwards to retard. Retard two-fifths of total movement for starting. Valve lifter lever. Small lever close to clutch lever. Lifts exhaust valve from seat, releasing compression In combustion chamber, enabling engine to be easily rotated for starting. Also used for stopping engine if throttle stop is set as advised above. Clutch lever. Large lever on left handlebar. Grip to release clutch so that drive to rear wheel is disconnected. Front brake lever. Large lever on right handlebar. Grip to operate front wheel brake and, for normal braking, use in conjunction with rear brake application. Rear brake lever. Pedal close to left side foot rest. Depress with left foot to apply rear brake. Apply gently and use increasing pressure as the road speed decreases. Gear change lever. Pedal in horizontal position close to right foot rest. Controls selection of the four speeds, or ratios, between engine and rear wheel revolutions, with a ” free,” or neutral, position. See Illustration 2. Kick-starter lever. Vertical pedal on right hand side of gear box. Lighting switch, in top of head lamp. Controls lamps by a rotating lever which has three positions : (1) “OFF” Lamps not on. (2) ” L ” Pilot lamps, rear lamp and speedometer lamp on. (3) ” H ” Main head lamp, rear l amp and speedometer lamp on. Ammeter. In top of head lamp. Indicates flow of electric current, in, or out, of battery. (” Charge ” or ” Discharge.”) Horn switch. Press switch on right handlebar. Gear box filler cap. Located on top edge of kick-starter case cover. Allows Insertion of lubricant and access to clutch inner wire and internal clutch operating lever. Footrest for rider. Petrol tank filler cap. Located in top of fuel tank. To release, slightly depress, turn fully to the left, and then lift away. There are two locking positions. The middle position, between the fully tightened down and ” lift away ” positions, is in the nature of a ” safety ” device to prevent toss that might be occasioned by unauthorised meddling. Oil tank filler cap. Located on top edge of oil tank. The construction and operation is exactly as the petrol tank filler cap. Dipping switch. Trigger switch on left handlebar. Used to select normal or ” dipped ” beam of head lamp when main lighting switch lever is in the ” H ” position. (The main head lamp bulb has two filaments.)
