INSTALLATION 1. See Figure 1. Insert a standard screwdriver tip into the pry notch (3) on a stock turn signal lens to pry the lens from the bullet-style turn signal housing (4). 2. Position the chrome trim turn signal lens (1 or 2) over the turn signal housing with the pry tab positioned at the bottom of the lens (shown in top position for clarity). NOTE Press on the outer edges of the lens, not on the chrome trim ring around the lens, until the lens snaps into the housing. 3. Press the lens into the turn signal housing (4). 3 2 4 1 5 is01847 1. 1. One set of the shouldered sleeves with O-rings should be installed in the shock eye. If not, insert sleeves with O-rings in the shock eye (see figure 1). 2. Mount the shock as you would your stock shock per your authorized shop manual noting the following; Make sure the shock is mounted with the rebound adjustment at the bottom and facing the right side of the motorcycle and the nitrogen pressure valve is facing forward. Tighten the shock bolts to the proper torque specifications (refer to your manual). Caution: The installed spring length must never be set shorter than 133mm (5.25″) or shock damage may occur

Mount the shock as you would your stock shock per your authorized shop manual (with the rebound adjustment at the bottom) noting the following: n As you mount the shock, feed the Remote Adjustable Pre-Load adjuster towards the rear (see figure 2) and to the right side of the swingarm (see figure 3) . n Do not loosen or attempt to rotate the line between the shock and the adjuster. n Make sure the shock rebound adjustment is toward the rear and facing the right side of the motorcycle and the nitrogen pressure valve is facing down. n Tighten shock bolts to the proper torque specifications (refer to your manual). n Locate the EXUP valve servo mounting bracket, specifically the two bolts used to secure it to the frame (see figure 4) . They below the seat on the right hand side of the motorcycle. n Now either mount the adjuster to the supplied mounting bracket using the supplied M6-1.0X8mm SHCS fasteners and torque them to 80-90 in/lbs (9-10 N-m), then mount the bracket and adjuster to the bike using two EXUP valve servo mounting bolts (as shown in figure 5) – or – mount the adjuster bracket to the frame using those two bolts, then mount the adjuster to the bracket (may require removal of exhaust stay). n Using the supplied zip-ties, secure the hydraulic line away from any moving parts or heat sources.

Installation 1. See Figure 1. Remove two stock screws and nuts from one side of the saddlebag rail assembly. 2. See the Service Parts illustration. Insert two screws (3) through the screw holes from the opposite direction as the stock screws removed from the rail bracket in Step 1. 3. Place a spacer (2) on the outboard screw. 4. Place a Saddlebag Rail Bracket over the rail assembly. Position the bracket with the square notch on the inboard side of the rail assembly. 5. Fasten the screws from step 2 into the Saddlebag Rail Bracket. Torque the fasteners to 10 ft-lbs (13.5 Nm). 6. Repeat steps 1 – 5 for the saddlebag rail assembly on the other side of the motorcycle

INSTALLATION 1. Remove the rubber mat from the bottom of the Tour-Pak. 2. See Figure 1 and Table 1 to determine the proper hole configuration to attach the Tour-Pak to your luggage rack. Holes will be drilled as explained in Step 3 in the hole location for your luggage rack. Table 1. Hole configurations for Tour-Pak attachment NOTE Drilling holes in Tour-Pak without wood underneath each hole site may result in the leather becoming damaged during the drilling process. 3. Place blocks of wood underneath the Tour-Pak where the holes will be drilled to prevent damage to the leather while drilling. Use the pre-drilled holes in the metal base as a guide and carefully drill the holes through the leather in the proper location using a 11/32 inch drill bit. 4. See Figure 2. For detachable luggage racks (53107- 96, 53066-00B and 53276-04): Install black cover tube to the front bar (1) of the luggage rack, as shown. This tube is used to provide a cleaner look. The black cover tube is not for use with other luggage racks. 5. Attach Tour-Pak to rack using the mounting screws provided in the Luggage Rack kit. Put bolt through from inside of Tour-Pak. Tighten screws to specifications found in the Luggage Rack kit. 6. Place the black rubber mat on the bottom of the Tour-Pak. 7. If luggage rack was removed, reattach to motorcycle according to kit instructions or Service Manual instructions

Gently lift instrument panel up and turn it so stock fuel tank panel front end is uncovered. 3. Place a shop towel under instrument panel and set instrument panel on fuel tank. 4. See Figure 2. Remove lower mounting screw and washer (1) and retain for reinstallation. 5. Lay leather tank panel on tank in desired position. 6. Install screw and washer saved in Step 4 into hole on tank panel. Install instrument panel (1) and tighten nut (2) to 8 ft-lb (11 Nm) . 8. Tighten lower mounting screw. After installing seat, pull upward on seat to be sure it is locked in position. While riding, a loose seat can shift causing loss of control, which could result in death or serious injury. (00070b) 9. Install seat on the motorcycle by inserting the tab at front of seat into slot at the rear of fuel tank. Secure seat to fender with screw. Remove Stock Shift Lever and Footrest Assembly 1. See Figure 1. Loosen the shift lever retaining screw (2) securing the shift lever (1) to the shifter shaft. Slide the shift lever off the splined shaft. Remove shifter peg from lever and save for installation. Discard shift lever. 2. Remove the two socket head screws (4) securing the footrest bracket (3) to the frame and remove footrest. Discard screws. 3. See Figure 6. Obtain two hole plugs (1) from kit and firmly press plugs into frame screw holes remaining from footrest removal. 4. See Figure 2. Remove the retaining ring (1) from the clevis to free the footrest clevis pin (4). Remove the clevis pin and footrest (3) from the footrest support. Save footrest for installation. Remove Left Footrest from Support Remove Stock Brake Pedal and Footrest Assembly 1. See Figure 3. At the right footrest, remove the retaining ring (1) clevis pin (2), footrest (3) and spring washer (4). Discard all hardware but save footrest for installation. 2. Remove the exhaust to access the brake rod. Follow the instructions in the appropriate Service Manual. 3. Remove brake rod (5) from brake pedal and master cylinder bell crank. Discard brake rod INSTALLATION Install Forward Control Brake Pedal and Footrest Assemblies 1. See Figure 5 and Figure 6. At the lower front of the right frame downtube, remove the two screws securing the J- clip (B) to the frame. Discard the screws but save J-clip for installation. 2. Install the other end of the brake rod into the brake pedal assembly (8). Tighten to 84-144 in-lbs (9.5-16.3 Nm) . NOTE Assemble the brake pedal and footpeg clevis onto the footrest support bracket (as described in the next step) prior to mounting the support bracket to the frame. This will allow easier installation of the footrest mount clevis retaining ring (installed to grooved end of footrest mount clevis). 3. Slide the brake pedal (8) onto footrest mount clevis (11) then slide clevis into footrest/brake pedal support bracket (9). Align hole in the clevis with hole in the support bracket and install screw (6). Tighten the screw to 18-22 ft-lbs (24.4-29.9 Nm) . 4. Install the footrest mount clevis retaining ring (18) to the groove at the end of the footpeg clevis. 5. Position the J-clip (from Step 1) against the frame aligning the mounting holes. Mount the footrest/brake pedal support bracket (9) and J-clip to frame using the new screws (3). Tighten the bracket to 45-50 ft-lbs (61.1- 67.9 Nm) . 6. Obtain the brake rod (15) from kit and thread one end into the master cylinder bell crank. Tighten to 120-180 in-lbs (13.6-20.3 Nm) . 7. Install footpeg on clevis with spring washer (2). Make sure spring washer is positioned inside clevis (11) with the square edge toward the inside. Align holes and push clevis pin (7) from top down through hole in clevis. Secure clevis pin using the new retaining ring (17). 8. Install exhaust following the instructions in the appropriate Service Manual. Install Forward Control Shift Lever Assembly

Install the set screw (6) into the inner gear shifter shaft cover (2). 3. Install inner gear shifter shaft cover with installed set screw over the casting (7) in-board of the shifter shaft (1). 4. Tighten the set screw until light contact is made with the casting. Do not overtighten. 5. Re-install toe shift lever on the gear shifter shaft. Tighten the shifter retaining screw to 18-22 lb-ft (24-30 Nm) . 6. Install the set screw (5) into the outer gear shifter cover (4). 7. Install outer gear shifter shaft cover with installed set screw over the end of the gear shifter shaft (1). 8. Loosen the set screw slightly to allow the gear shifter shaft cover to rotate. Rotate the cover until the set screw faces down, then tighten the set screw. SERVICE PARTS
