1. Remove the (2) Bolts at the top of the stock air cleaner to the left and right of the oval rubber hose coming from under the fuel tank. 2. Loosen the hose clamp at the base of the oval rubber hose on the top of the air cleaner. 3. A male barb protrudes from the rear of the air cleaner that inserts into a rubber grommet mounted to the cylinders. Pull the air cleaner away from the cylinders firmly and you will feel the barb release. Now pull the upper section of the air cleaner downward to remove it from the oval snorkel tube from under the fuel tank. 4. Now you can reach to the rear of the box and unplug the electrical lead for the Air Sensor” which sits just about in the middle of the rear of the air cleaner. Now remove the breather hose at bottom of the air cleaner. 5. Set the air cleaner aside and turn it over to access the back. Remove the single bolt that secures the Air Sensor” (This sensor will be installed into the Aluminum Manifold of your new BAK assembly later) 6. Remove the lower mounting arm assembly from the cylinders. (You will not reuse this). 7. Using the (2) Dome head m6 x 15mm screws install the (2) #1 Arms to the rear (the side without the groove) of the backing plate, the shiny/chrome side of the arms should face outward. The smaller of the two holes in each arm is the one you place the screws through. Use the m6 Flange Nuts to secure the bolts at the rear of backing plate. Snug these up but do not tighten fully.

UNDER THE HANDLEBAR MOUNTING A: Can the Tach be mounted inverted under the handlebars? A: Yes, if you have enough room to mount under the handlebars for the tach to mount and still be able to turn from lock to lock without hitting the tank or dash. See note in next paragraph for details on how to rotate the face of the Tach for appropriate positioning. BE AWARE: Chances of water intrusion are increased in this position! FACE ROTATION Q: How do I rotate the face of the Tach? A: With the Tach housing removed from the handlebar, unscrew the bezel (counterclockwise) and remove it from the housing, using a 5/32 Allen wrench loosen the the set-screw located inside the clamp area or at the rear of the clamp area. Rotate the face of the Tach to your preferred position, tighten the set screw and replace the bezel. COIL IDENTIFICATION Q: How can I tell positive from negative on my coil? A: Most motorcycles will have two wires going to each of the coils, and each coil will share one common-color wire and have one unique color wire. The common-color is the positive and the unique color is the negative. For example, a Yamaha set-up has a red/black on both coils – that is positive. The other coil wire would be orange or gray – that is the negative side. Hondas set-up is blue/yellow and yellow/blue for the negative, and black/white for the positive. Suzuki has orange/white on both coils as positive and has white or black/yellow as the negative side. COIL SELECION Q: My bike has two (or four) coils – Which one/ones do I use? A: Most multi-cylinder bikes have one coil per cylinder. You only need to connect to one of the coils – choose the one most convenient for wire routing. (Single-fire motorcycles require the Tach adapter we include with each assemble

Before you install your new ASV brake lever, you MUST choose the correct brake light switch tab to install. You will find in the package with this lever one plastic bag with four smaller bags inside of it. One bag has two small phillips screws. The other three bags have small black aluminum blocks (light switch tabs) with labels on them. Part# BRC511-H is ONLY for HONDA motorcycles. Part# BRC511-STK is for all SUZUKI, TRIUMPH and 05-06 KAWASAKI ZX636R motorcycles ONLY. Part# BRC511-K is for all KAWASAKI motorcycles EXCEPT the 05-06 ZX636R . Choose the correct tab for your bike and install it onto the lever as shown in photo 2b using the two small Phillips head screws provided. It is recommended that you use locktite or another type of thread locking adhesive to make sure these screws do not come loose. Be sure to tighten these screws as tight as you can without stripping them. The brake stop / light tab is required for your ASV brake lever to work properly Carefully place the lever into the master cylinder while inserting the plunger rod into the barrel hole as shown in photo 4. Install the main pivot bolt, and tighten it until it is snug against the master cylinder. Do not over-tighten, as it could cause the lever to bind in the master cylinder

Secure motorcycle to bike lift and raise the motorcycle so the rear wheel is unweighted. 3. For easiest access to the linkage remove the tool kit holder from the left side of the bike. 4. Loosen and remove the two self-locking nuts and flat washers from connecting arm bolts from the left side of the motorcycle. 5. Slide connecting arm bolts out (it may be necessary to push bushing back to the left side to allow bolt head to drop below frame. Reinstall in the same manner). Replace stock connecting arms with your new Baron connecting arms. The end with the single hole goes down and attaches to relay arm. The end with three holes goes up and attaches to the frame. Use the hole that lowers the rear your chosen amount. Reinstall bolts, washers and nuts. Torque the two connecting arm nuts to 35 foot-pounds (48 Nm). Remove motorcycle from lift. NOTE : We recommend that you set the shock spring preload to a higher setting, especially if the motorcycle will be used for carrying a passenger or heavy loads.

Installation of heated grips on motorcycles is popular in the UK since it’s not unheard of for even the “fair weather biker” to be caught out by a cold snap. Add to this the fact that many operations on a bike are performed by the hands and fingers, which will not perform well when frozen! 1) Before fitting the grips to the SV, a position must be chosen for the controller. The grips, needless to say, have their mounting places predetermined. I chose to make a small bracket for mounting on the top yoke. This allows the control box to sit level with the top surface for an integrated look whilst remaining accessible for operation. First of all- The mounting bracket in place: Picture shows a strip of rubber on either side of the bracket to stop rubbing / vibrations. Using the flat base and sticky pad supplied, mount the controller on the bracket. 2) With the easy bit done, we need to turn attention to the installation of the power feed cable. It would be too easy to leave the grips switched on with the bike parked up, or for kids to switch them on draining the battery and leaving you stranded. With this in mind, we really want to use a suitably rated power feed that is only “on” when the ignition key is turned on. Fortunately enough, the “pointy” SV has a couple of spare contacts in the fuse box which can be tapped for this purpose

at anytime during install or tuning please callus for any and all help, we can’thelpifyoudon’tcall ) 1. Before installing the TFI you must first disconnect the negative lead from the battery. 2. Determinea location for the TFI unit. Suggested locations areas follows: Under the seat, behinda side cover or tail section. 3. The TFIcomeswitha harness with injector connectors that match the factory injector connectors. 4. Locate the factory fuel injectors (see owners manual if you are not sure).** **: Some models are equipped with two sets of injectors (primary and secondary); the unit is designed to interface with the primary injectors. If the TFI harness does not match your injectors do not proceed and call tech support at 877-764-3337. 5. Disconnect the factory injector connectors from the fuel injectors and replace with the TFI injector connectors from the TFI unit, basically unhook the factory injector connector and plug the matching TFI connector (female) to the injector and then connect the factory injector connector to the TFI connector that simulates the injector (male). There is no order to hookup the TFI harness to the factory harness just make sure the original factory connector goes toits’original cylinder. It isa good idea to make sure there is a little slack in the harness to prevent engine vibration from damaging/breakingawireon the connectors. 6. Be sure to check the wires are not indirect contact with any sharp edges, exhaust and/or other objects, which could result in long term wear and/or damage. 7. Connect the TFI ground lead to the negative terminal of the battery along with the factory ground lead. 8. With the rubber plug removed from the TFI, turn the motorcycle key switch to the “ON”position. As the bikes electrical system goes through initial startup mode you may see LED’sflashingonthe TFI.

installation Instructions 1.) Stock Component Removal To begin installing this kit it is necessary to raise the rear end of the bike using a suitable hoist. Be sure to keep the bike centered on the front wheel to keep the bike from tipping over. Once you have the bike lifted and properly secured, begin with the removal of the following stock components ( For detailed information on the removal of these parts, please consult your factory manual) : 1.) Muffler or mufflers 2.) Left side and lower body panels 3.) Voltage regulator (08 model only) 4.) Front sprocket cover 5.) Front sprocket 6.) Chain 7.) Rear Axel, wheel and brake assembly 8.) Pivot tube and swingarm
2.) New Swingarm Installation A. Most of the pieces needed are installed on the swing-arm. You’ll need to install the shock mount block with the 4 supplied flat head 5/16″bolts, use red loctite and torque to 25 ft lbs. B. Insert the 2 supplied pivot bushings in the pivot tube. Move your new swingarm into position. Once you have the swingarm in position reinsert the pivot tube to hold it in place. C. On some bikes (07′ and earlier Busa’s) it is necessary to grind approximately 1/8″ off the frame for chain clearance. Not all bikes will require this, but it is best to mock up and test fit before final assembly.
