1. Remove seat, exposing factory computer (ECU). disconnect factory wiring by pressing lock and pushing lever back. 2. Remove ECU by pushing tab and sliding the ECU to the right as you lift. 3. Gently align the pins of the Fuelpak connector with the ECU and press the connector on the ECU. Be sure the single large pin is aligned with the single large socket before pressing Fuelpak connector into the ECU. Make sure all four tabs fully latch. (Fuelpak connector Patent Pending# 29 295831) 4. Connect factory wiring to Fuelpak connector and pull lever to locked location. Be sure that lock snaps into position. 5. Reinstall ECU. 6. Remove left side cover. 7. Slide Fuelpak down through opening leading to the area under the left side cover. 8. Attach Fuelpak to the fuse cover using supplied velcro.
HOW IT WORKS ENTERING VALUES 1. Remove Fuelpak clear case cover by removing all four screws, save hardware . 2. Turn on main power and handlebar switches, but do not start engine. Fuelpak display should light up, if not, turn power off and verify the connectors are fully seated. 3. Refer to Fuelpak Setting Reference to locate the Setting Values specific to your bike and exhaust system. If you do not find your setting, visit fuelpakfi.com or call tech support at (562) 921-0071. 4. Starting with mode 1 selected, press the value (+) or the value (-) buttons to input the correct value as indicated in your Setting Value. After entering your first value, press the mode select button to move to mode 2 and enter the value. Continue until you have entered the value for each of the first 18 mode positions. Each time the value (+) is pressed, the value increases by one number. Each time the value (-) is pressed, the value decreases by one number. (Please refer to the “How It Works” section directly above if you have questions about this step. 5. By pressing the mode select button 3-times, move to mode 21 and verify that it reads “0″ 6. Enter any other mode values as required for your application. 7. Turn power off, wait one second then turn power back on. Verify all modes then turn power off. 8. Reinstall Fuelpak clear cover then reinstall side cover

1 Remove the seat. 2 Remove the two bolts that hold the relay bracket (Fig. A). Fig.A Remove these bolts 3 Fig.B 3 Pull straight upwards on the bracket. Lift the bracket enough to expose the 3 zip ties that hold the wiring harness to the bracket (Fig. B). Cut these 3 zip ties. 4 Pull upwards on the retaining plate (which holds the relays) enough to clear the battery (Fig. C). Fig.C Cut these 3 zip ties 4 9 Fig.D Adjusting Your Power Commander Your Power Commander has been programmed with a base map for your application. You can adjust the base map or install an alternate map using your Computer. Please refer to the supplied CD-Rom for more information. You can also adjust your Power Commander using the face plate buttons as described below. 1. With the ignition off, hold down all three buttons on the Power Commander III unit. 2. While still holding down the buttons, turn the ignition on. 3. Release buttons. 4. Select the range you wish to adjust: Low, Med, High, by pushing the corresponding button once. 5. At this point holding that button down will move the lights down ( leaning out the mixture). 6. Pushing the button repeatedly will move the light up (richening the mixture). 7. When the two center light are lit up this is the “0″ setting. After making your adjustments wait 20 seconds before starting the bike or turning it off. This allows the settings to be saved to memory. To verify that it is safe to start the bike, move the throttle and watch to see if the lights move up and down the scale. If they do, you may start or turn off the bike. Tabs 5 Rotate this plate forward to locate the relay retaining tabs (Fig. D). Bend these tabs so they are flush with the plate. This allows the relays to sit lower in the slots

This product is designed to mount in the lowest, visible section of the motorcycle windshield. 1. Install the 3 housing edge seals (1 long seal and 2 short seals) onto the lightbar as shown (Fig. 1). Make sure that the seal is oriented so that the lip curls inward (Fig 2). 2. Remove the 3 screws shown from the upper section of the windscreen (Fig. 3.). CAUTION! DO NOT LOOK DIRECTLY AT THESE LED’SWHILE THEY ARE ON. MOMENTARY BLINDNESS AND/OR EYE DAMAGE COULD RESULT! IMPORTANT WARNING! WARNING! All customer supplied W ires that connect to the positive terminal of the battery must be sized to supply at least 125% of the maximum operating current and FUSED at the battery to carry that load. DO NOT USE CIRCUIT BREAKERS WITH THIS PRODUCT! Fig. 1 Fig. 4 Fig. 3 Fig. 2 3. Position the lightbar into its mounting position behind the windscreen. When properly positioned, the holes in the lightbar mounting tabs will be aligned with the vacant holes through the windscreen. 4. Using the mounting hardware included with the lightbar, secure the lightbar to the windscreen assembly. 5. Route the wires to their respective destinations (Fig. 4). It is left to the installation technician’s discretion to select a path for these wires that will both protect them from possible damage and not interfere with the operation of any other vehicle components or equipment

These Stamped Backrest kits are designed for installation on all vehicles with Mini and Short sissy bar uprights. Kit Number 52527-01 is only for models equipped with a Mini sissy bar upright. Kit Number 52531-01 is only for models equipped with a Short sissy bar upright. See Service Parts illustration for kit contents. Installation 1. Remove stock chrome backrest bracket. Discard hardware. 2 Install backing plate (2) with 1/4 inch x .50 long screws (4) supplied with kit through mounting bracket and into backrest. Tighten screws to 7 ft-lbs (9.5 Nm). 3. Position stamped cover (1) so tabs and cover are slightly below notches in backing plate. Slide stamped cover (1) into position by sliding upwards until cover locks in position. 4. Install two #8 screws (3) through bottom of stamped cover (1) and then into backing plate (2). Tighten screws to 18-24 in-lbs (2.0 to 2.7 Nm)

Lift pillion tabs off frame studs and push the pillion forward to release bottom of the pillion from pillion post on fender. Passenger Footpeg Components (FLHX) INSTALLATION NOTES • If necessary, remove any paint from counterbore holes of footboard brackets to ease the installation of the pivot pins. • On 2010 and Later Models: The installation height can be adjusted to one of three positions. To install footboards in a new position, remove plastic plugs from holes in rear swingarm bracket as necessary. • On 2009 and Earlier Models: The lowest of the four holes on the frame is not threaded and cannot be used to mount the footboards. 1. See Figure 2. Insert shoulder bolt (9) or (10) through slot in footboard bracket (1). a. 2010 and Later Models: Thread the 5/16 inch shoulder bolt (9) into the lowest hole in the rear swingarm bracket of the frame. b. 2009 and Earlier Models: Thread the 3/8 inch shoulder bolt (10) into the second lowest hole in the rear swingarm bracket of the frame. Tighten the bolts to 48-72 in-lbs (5-8 Nm.) . 2. At the desired height, install the upper screw (2) and lockwasher (3) through footboard bracket (1). Tighten screw to 36-42 ft-lb (49-56 Nm) . 3. Install spring (4) into retaining hole in footboard bracket. Set the ball (5) on top of spring. 4. Position the detent in the bottom of the footboard pan (8 or 12) over ball in footboard bracket. Be sure not to unseat the ball. Press down on footboard pan so the holes of the footboard pan and footboard bracket align. 5. Insert pivot pins (7) through two mounting holes on footboard bracket and into footboard pan. 6. Align footboard insert (6 or 11) in footboard pan. Press insert firmly until the footboard pan tabs are firmly seated in the footboard insert. 7. Fold footboard up and install set screw (13) to secure footboard pad. 8. Pivot footboard assembly up and down to verify proper operation. 9. Repeat all steps for opposite side

INSTALLATION NOTE To avoid failure, the fastening tab adhesive must be allowed to cure for 24 hours before installing these Lid Covers. NOTE Lid Cover installation may be easier with the saddlebags removed from the motorcycle. 1. See Figure 1. Open the saddlebag lid. Wash the entire saddlebag lid, inside and out, with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly. 3. Use the alcohol prep pad provided in the kit to further clean the inside of the lid in the areas where the hook and loop strips will be attached. NOTE The Saddlebag Lid Covers are side-specific. A Bar-and-Shield logo is stitched into the rear face of each cover. NOTE DO NOT fasten the Saddlebag Lid Cover tabs to the hook and loop strips until the adhesive has cured for 24 hours. 4. Place the correct Saddlebag Lid Cover (1) over the saddlebag lid in its proper position. Bring the cover tabs over the edge of the lid to serve as a guide in positioning the hook and loop strips on the inside of the lid. Remove the protective backing from one hook and loop strip at a time. Use the corresponding tab on the cover only as a positioning guide, then fold it back out of the

INSTALLATION FXST, FXSTS, and FXSTB models NOTE When performing the following installation procedures, avoid scratching painted surfaces (fender, tank, etc.) with tools or metal seat tabs. 1. Remove existing seat from motorcycle by unscrewing seat at rear bracket and unhooking front seat tab. 2. See Figure 4. Remove and discard existing grabstrap and save fastening hardware from the motorcycle. 3. See Figure 4. Install the grabstrap (7) from kit with the hardware saved in Step 2. Install the grabstrap according to Figure 1. Kit Number: 51470-06A, 51397-06A Grabstrap Number: 51184-00 Kit Number: 51468-06A, 51469-06A, and 51801-07 Grabstrap Number: 51176-96B is00420 Figure 1. Grabstrap installment information 4. See Figure 4. Slide the back of the seat through grabstrap and hook front tab of seat (1) into frame. Secure seat bracket to fender with screw (8). After installing seat, pull upward on seat to be sure it is locked in position. While riding, a loose seat can shift causing loss of control, which could result in death or serious injury. (00070b) 2007 and later FXSTC models NOTE Refer to the Owner’s, or Service Manual instructions for removal of the stock seat, and mounting hardware. 1. Remove, and discard the existing grabstrap, and mounting hardware. 2. Remove, and discard the plug in the rear mounting position on the fender. 3. See Figure 2. Using the retaining nut (1), washer (2), and cable strap from the kit; Install the nut, and washer in the rear hole location on the fender (Note: A cable strap can be used as an installation aid)

INSTALLATION 1. See Figure 1. From the kit, obtain the left side fairing lower (1), left side fairing lower cap (2), two flange locking nuts (3) and two stud clips (4). Place fairing lower cap in front of the left side engine guard and left side fairing lower behind engine fairing guard. With both pieces in place around engine guard, install the two flange locking nuts onto the studs clips and hand tighten. Repeat procedure for right side fairing lower. 2. Secure bottom of fairing lower to lower engine guard with round clamp (5) from hardware kit. Position clamp around engine guard with tabs toward rear of vehicle and flat side of clamp against fairing lower and with the rubber washer (6) between clamp and engine guard. Place Torx pan screw (7) through fairing lower, rubber washer and clamp. Secure assembly with flanged locknut (8). Repeat for right side fairing lower. Tighten to 144 in-lbs (16.3 Nm). 3. Tighten all left and right side upper flange locking nuts (3) to 72 in-lbs (8.1 Nm). 4. Install left side door assembly glovebox (9) to fairing lower using the attachment cord (10). Insert glovebox door into fairing lower. Repeat for right side fairing lower. NOTE Do not press reflector firmly into place until you have it positioned in desired location. The adhesive is very strong and once it comes in contact with a surface, it will be difficult to remove without damaging the reflector. 5. Peel adhesive strip off back of reflector from kit. Position reflector on side of front fender above chrome side trim strip and approximately 4 inches rearward from front of fender. Press reflector securely into place. Repeat for opposite side reflector
