Our sporty and lightweight SLIP-ON systems offer a great balance between price and performance and represent the first step in the exhaust system tuning process. The change will also be visual as our HEXAGONAL muffler perfectly fit the exterior line of the RSV4 and add a clean racing image. The muffler outer sleeve is made of titanium or carbon-fiber, which gives a special hi-tech touch to our SLIP-ON system. We offer the street legal version with high flow catalytic converter and open system for race track use only. PERFORMANCE Measurements of the Akrapovic SLIP-ON STREET LEGAL/OPEN system on the APRILIA RSV4 (without muffler insert): Power & Torque: the exhaust system modification with the SLIP-ON system results in a major boost in performance, delivering a massive 167.9 HP at 12450 rpm on the back wheel. But the increased power isn’t available just at the top of the range; the system shows its quality from 4000 rpm already up through the entire rpm range. Max. increased power between the Akrapovic and the stock system is 5.2 HP at 7000 rpm. Besides this, the torque is substantially higher in a lower rpm area at 4500 rpm and from middle to high rpm area. The race kit inlet cam is 9.25mm max lift and 268.74o duration. •The standard exhaust cam is 8.5mm max lift and 246o duration. The race kit exhaust cam is 8.5mm max lift and 262.21o duration. •The race kit valve spring must be used in conjunction with the standard spring platforms and retainers. The fitted length of the race springs is the same as the standard spring. 1. The race kit valve springs should be assembled in the same manner as the standard valve springs. Follow the procedure detailed in section 3 of the Daytona 675 service manual. Ensure the springs are installed with the close wound, colour coded end of the springs facing downwards, towards the piston. 2. The race kit camshafts should be assembled in the same manner as the standard camshafts. Follow the procedure detailed in section 3 of the Daytona 675 service manual. 3. The race kit cam sprockets should be mounted and secured to the camshafts using the slotted holes in the sprocket. The slotted holes allow adjustment of the valve timing. The circular holes in the sprockets are for Triumph service tool T3880102 and should not be used to mount the sprockets to the camshafts. NOTE •No timing marks are included on the race sprockets. Race engines will typically have different depths skimmed off the cylinder head and, therefore require specific individual timing. 4. The camshafts should be timed using cam degreeing equipment which typically consists of a degree wheel, pointer, dial indicator and piston stop. Optimum cam timing will depend on the exact specification of the engine, but a recommended starting point is 104o IMOP (Inlet Maximum Opening Point) and 104o EMOP (Exhaust Maximum Opening Point). 5. Always check the inlet and exhaust piston to valve clearance for the timing selected to use, before running the engine. You must ensure both clearances are adequate. As a guide, the standard nominal piston to valve clearance is 1.3mm inlet & 1.5mm exhaust

The mounting is the same. Mount the rear taillight assembly to the rear fender as shown in Photos 1 and 2. Transfer drill the mounting holes in the taillight assembly into the fender and mount using the countersunk fasteners provided. The tail light lens should just line up with the end of the fender. Mount the turn signals into the side of the taillight assembly as shown in Photos 1, 2 and 3. The taillight has not been pre-drilled to allow placement of the turnsignals to be varied to accommodate different exhausts. Drill a 1/8″ hole in the brake lever 4 ½” from the center of the brake pedal pivot point (Photo4). 4 Photo 5 Drill 1/8″ hole here Photo 4 Install the brake-switch bracket under the right case bolt directly above the oil filler cap (Photo 5). Attach the spring to the hole you drilled in the pedal. Adjust the switch in the bracket so it engages about halfway through the pedal throw. You may need to lengthen (stretch) the spring slightly to allow proper switch adjustment. Turn-Signal Switch Installation: Install the turn signal switch on the handlebar next to the grip as shown in Photo 6 . The switch has a single screw that pinches it together on one side. Two tabs secure the switch halves on the other side. Remove the screw to separate the halves so that it can be installed on the handlebar. When installing the switch to the handlebar, make sure the tabs are seated in their locating holes and then tighten the pinch screw. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN THIS SCREW, as too much force can strip the body of the switch. The clutch perch may have to be moved inward slightly to make room for the switch. Run the wires along the bottom of the handle
